Park Rules
1. Camping Season is May 01 through October 15.
2. All campers must make a reservation before setting up on any site.
a. Instructions for reservations are posted at the park entrance and can be found on our
website: AcrossThePondPark.org.
3. Camping Party. A group may not exceed eight (8) persons. A site may have two (2) tents
OR one (1) tent and one (1) van or truck camper.
4. Checking In. Check-in time is 3:00 PM. Campers will be automatically checked in through
their reservation.
a. Checkout Time. Must vacate site by 1:00 PM on the last day of the permit.
5. Vehicles.
a. Maximum of two (2) vehicles; capacity limit includes vehicles, wheeled camping units
and trailers.
b. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on any trails or non-vehicle roadways within the
park, this includes ATVs & UTVs.
6. ATV/UTV Activity. The Park is a place of honor and respect. Operate them courteously,
lawfully and safely; use minimal speed while on the park grounds.
7. Park staff may periodically visit to verify check-in. Campers should keep a hard copy of
their reservation on hand or available on a mobile device.
8. Length of Stay. 14 day maximum within any 21 day period. A minimum three (3) night
reservation is required on holiday weekends.
9. Campground Areas and Closing Time. Campground closed to non-registered campers
11:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
10. Pets. Pets must be leashed (no retractable leashes) at all times and must not be left
unattended to. Two (2) pet maximum. Clean up immediately after your pet.
11. Wildlife. Campers are encouraged to use animal proof containers for storage of food.
Bears, raccoons, and other foraging animals are abundant in the area.
12. Noise. Noise may not interfere with the enjoyment of the park by others.
a. Quiet Hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
13. Generators must be monitored while operating and can only be used during non-quiet
hours (7:00 AM to 10:00 PM).
14. No discharging of firearms, Air or BB guns, or bows anywhere on park grounds.
15. Campfires:
a. It is important to be aware of fire conditions and to use extreme caution during periods
of elevated fire danger.
b. Only certified firewood or firewood originating from within ten (10) miles of the park is
allowed in the park; firewood is available for sale at the kiosk located at the entrance to

the park and at various locations in Iron River. The use of chainsaws within the park is
prohibited.
c. Fires are allowed in fire rings and grills ONLY, and must be attended to at all times.
Fires must be fully extinguished before vacating the site.
d. Do not burn garbage, plastic, cans, or other recyclable items.
16. Fireworks. Fireworks are illegal; anything that flies/explodes is a firework.
17. Garbage. Dumpsters are provided and are intended for those occupying the campsites
only.
18. Property Damage. Campers are responsible for any damage to campsites or other park
property that occurs during their stay. Any damage noted upon arrival must be reported
immediately upon arrival.
19. Eviction. Violations of park rules may result in eviction from the park.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancelling your reservation within:
a. 24 hours or less prior to your arrival date will result in no refund.
b. 72 hours (to 24 hours) prior to your arrival date will result in a refund of 50%.
c. More than 72 hours prior to your arrival date will result in a full refund minus a $5 processing fee.

There will be no refunds after you have checked in, for inclement weather, failure to follow the Rules & Regulations, or disorderly conduct.  Manager/Owner reserves the right to have discretion on all refunds.
