Armstrong Creek RV Park & Cabins, Marion, North Carolina
PLEASE NOTE: Our park was devastated by the floods from Hurricane Helene in September 2024. We ask that you bear with us as we are working to restore as much of the park as possible. We have not yet rebuilt our picnic pavilion and our WiFi system is still down. We hope to have WiFi service restored in the near future. Thank you for your patience and understanding. It is very much appreciated.
1. Our park does NOT have bath houses or restroom facilities. However, all of our RV sites include full hookups. All camping units staying one night or longer in this park MUST be equipped with an integrated restroom or equivalent capability.
2. Check in time for cabins & cottages is 3 PM Eastern Time. Check in time for RV sites is 12 PM Eastern Time. Check out time for all sites is 11 AM Eastern Time.
3. Only one camping unit can be placed on any given site or connected to park utilities. No tents allowed on RV sites.
4. The speed limit in the park is 5 MPH. Occupants are responsible for driving safely and for assuring their guests drive safely.
5. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8AM.
6. No ATV’s or motorcycles are allowed in the park except for a properly tagged motorcycle and driver. Golf carts are allowed providing the drivers of the cart are at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Golf cart owners are responsible for any personal injury or property damage caused by golf cart operation. Golf cart operation is strictly limited to use on established roads. Please drive in designated areas only. Do not shortcut across grassy areas or other campsites. Obey all posted signs. Operators must observe safe driving practices. Avoid excessive speed and unsafe maneuvers.
7. Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.
8. Children under the age of 16 must wear helmets when riding bicycles as required by NC state law. All traffic signs apply to all bike riders. No bike riding after dark. Small children should always be accompanied by an adult. Reckless behavior could result in loss of biking privileges during your visit.
9. No more than two pets are allowed per campsite except that visitors to each site are allowed one pet per family providing they honor all park rules with respect to pets. All pets visiting our park must be vaccinated. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up to date. All pets shall be on a leash at all times when outdoors. Pets shall not be allowed to remain outside when not accompanied by an adult. No pets can be left outside overnight. Pets shall not be secured to any trees or other property owned by Armstrong RV Park. Please pick up after your pet(s) immediately. Excessive barking will not be tolerated. Please note that excessive barking may result in your being asked to leave without a refund. Occupants or guests of occupants are responsible for any wrongful acts performed by their pet(s). Our insurance provider requires that we cannot accept any breeds that have a history of unfriendly or aggressive behaviors. These breeds include: Pitbulls, Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Bull Mastiffs, and Chows.
10. Campfires can only be built in fire rings. Most sites have fire rings. You may use a fire ring on legs. Do not move existing fire rings. Do not leave campfires unattended. No petroleum products can be used with fires. All occupants and guests are responsible for fire safety to assure the safety of persons and prevent the escape of fires to grass and nearby wooded areas. No burning of bottles, cans, plastic, or metal is allowed. Completely extinguish all fires before leaving site for extended periods or vacating the site.
11. Swimming is allowed in Armstrong Creek. There is no lifeguard on duty. No swimming alone. No children under the age of 13 should ever be in the water without an adult. No swimming after sunset.
12. Rocks should never be removed from the creek for any reason. Leave trees and limbs in the woods.
13. The following flags are allowed to be displayed at your site and throughout the park, American, Canadian, Military, including Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, POW, MIA, and veterans, sports and decorative flags such as holiday, seasonal or garden.
14. Firearms and other weapons are prohibited, except that those with a proper permit may possess a concealed handgun in permitted areas and under the requirements of North Carolina G.S. 14-415.11. Guests must obey all federal, state, and local laws regarding the ownership and possession of firearms. Firearms are not permitted in common areas. The only exception is that guests may have a firearm in a locked, private vehicle in parking areas if permitted by law. The discharge of firearms, BB guns, air guns/rifles, or similar devices is strictly prohibited.
15. No fireworks of any kind are allowed in the park.
16. Alcohol is allowed on individual campsites and in rental cabins. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in common areas. Campers and visitors shall not be or become intoxicated while within the park. Please drink responsibly and respect other campers.
17. A North Carolina fishing license is required to fish Armstrong Creek. The creek is patrolled by NC Wildlife Officers who have jurisdiction to enforce all game laws related to fishing and hunting. No fish will be cleaned at campsites. All persons fishing shall make sure no litter is left around or in the ponds or along the creek.
18. All trash shall be removed by occupants or their guests. All trash that is maintained outside camper units shall be in a plastic or metal container with a lid that provides total enclosure of contents to prevent animal disturbance and sanitary conditions. No more than one outside container for trash is allowed per site. Trash must be removed from the campground at least once per week and at the end of your stay. A county-owned recycling facility is located 200 American Thread Rd, Marion, NC 28752 (less than a 3-mile drive)
19. No occupant or any guests of occupant may dig, trench, drive stakes or pipes or create any ground disturbance activity within the park without prior approval and under the supervision of park personnel. This is due to the numerous underground wires, pipes, electrical, phone, water, and sewer lines.
20. By connecting to any water, power, or sewer connection in the park, occupants and guests accept these regulations. They further release the park, its officers and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his/her person arising out of his/her use of the park and facilities. They agree to indemnify the park, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person of any member of the family or guest of a tenant arising out of the use of the camping facilities.
