POLICIES

SPEED LIMIT:

Speed limit throughout the park is 10 miles per hour.  Please be mindful of children on bikes & playing.  Violators may be asked to park or leave the property. 

CAMPING UNITS:

Only one camping unit or tent per site.  Tents are not permitted on site with a camping unit. Tent sites are intended for one family unit.

QUIET HOURS:

Quiet hours are from 10am – 8am.  Please be mindful of your neighbors & keep noise levels to a minimum.  Music, TV & voices should not be able to be heard beyond your campsite.  You may be asked to leave if we need to speak with you regarding your noise level.

GENERATORS:

Generator usage is not permitted at any time.

CHILDREN:

Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children.  Young children must be supervised by an adult while using the playground, sports equipment, restrooms, showers & laundry.  Children under the age of 16 are required to have a parent inside the pool fence with them at all times. 

PETS:

Pets must be leashed, under control & attended at all times.  Pets are not to be left alone in a tent at any time. Owners must clean up after their pets & properly dispose of waste.  Bags & receptacles are available throughout the campground. Excessive barking is not tolerated. Adults must be with children under 16 while walking pets.  Pets are not allowed in any buildings, pool area or on the playground.

VISITORS:

All visitors must check in & register at the office.  Registered guests are responsible for guests.  There is a $5 per person fee for visitors.  All visitors must vacate by 10pm.  Overnight guest fee is $8 per person.  Max of 8 persons per site including guests & visitors.

POOL INFORMATION:

Swim at your own risk.  No lifeguard on duty.  No diving or  jumping.  No smoking, no glass, no alcohol, no food or drinks in pool area.  Anyone 16 or younger must have an adult inside the pool fence with them at all times.

LAUNDRY:

Laundry is open 24 hours.  Please be respectful & do not leave your clothes in the washer or dryer.  We are not responsible for damaged or lost items.

VEHICLE/RV WASHING:

Vehicle or RV washing or repair is not permitted on the property. 

GOLF CARTS:

Personal golf cart use is prohibited.

GARBAGE:

We do not have garbage pick up at your site.  Dumpsters are located throughout the campground for your convenience. No large, oversized items are to be put in our dumpsters.

EV CHARGING:

Charging of electric vehicles is prohibited on the property. 

CLOTHESLINES are not permitted.

RESTROOMS & SHOWERS:

Children must be supervised when using the restrooms & showers. Please do not wash dishes in the restroom.  Dishwashing sinks are provided next to the bathhouses.  We strive to maintain clean bathrooms, please do your part to help maintain the cleanliness.  Please do not flush any foreign objects (diapers, feminine hygiene products, wipes) as they can clog the septic system.

FIREARMS & FIREWORKS:

Firearms & fireworks are strictly prohibited.  Possession or use will result in immediate removal from the park.

WIFI:

WiFi is offered as a free service to our guests.  This free service is intended for quick internet searches & checking email.  It is not intended for streaming or gaming.  We do not guarantee any site will have WiFi access.  We do provide WiFi at certain locations through the campground. 

 

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT:

Check in time is 2pm.  If you would like to check in early & your site is available, there will be an early arrival fee.

Check out time is by 11am.  The date on your car tag is the date you are departing.  Late departures may result in additional fees.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

All Reservations:

Cancellation After Arrival – No Refund

RV/Tent/Transient Sites:

Cancellation – (0-14 Days from reservation start date) – No Refund.

Cancellation – (15-30 Days from reservation start date) - Full Refund, minus a 25% cancellation fee on reservation total.

Cancellation – (31+ Days from reservation start date) - Full Refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee on reservation total.

Holiday Weekends:

No refunds on reservations canceled during a holiday weekend.

2025 Holidays:

Memorial Day Weekend - (05/23/2025 - 05/26/2025)

4th of July Week - (06/30/2025 - 07/06/2025)

Labor Day Weekend - (08/29/2025 - 09/01/2025)

Columbus Day Weekend - (10/10/2025 - 10/13/2025)

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be responsible for injury or accidents to campers or their guests or for the loss of valuables of any kind. There will be no refunds given for early departures or due to inclement weather.

 

 

By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges and covenants not to sue Bar Harbor Campground for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Further, Guest agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bar Harbor Campground from all losses, claims, expenses and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Bar Harbor Campground may incur arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Modern America Campgrounds reserves the right to remove any renter, occupant or guest who is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a State sexual offender registration program

Bar Harbor Campground or its Management bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person or property or thing, howsoever caused.

The Management reserves the right to evict any day user, guest, camper, or group of campers for any cause.
