Big Manitou Regional Park
Policies
- Check in time is 2:00 PM. Check out time is 12:00 PM (noon).
- Persons must be at least 18 years of age to reserve and/or occupy a site without adult supervision.
- Full payment must be made when booking online.
- Camping season is May 1st to September 15th, 2025.
- All vehicles entering the park must display an appropriate park pass. These can be purchased during booking and obtained at time of arrival.
- Daily Pass $5.00
- Seasonal Pass $60
- Pets – A one time flat charge of $10.
Park & Campground Rules & Regulations
- Every vehicle that enters the park must have a Regional Park Pass, Daily or Seasonal, displayed in clear view.
- Site reservations will be held until noon of the day after scheduled arrival. If you anticipate arriving later than your scheduled arrival, you must call the Park Manager at 639-822-7654. If you are a “no show” the day after your scheduled arrival and the Park Manager has not heard from you, your site will be forfeited and will become open to reservations regardless of the length of stay. Fees will be forfeited in conjunction with the applicable refund policy.
- Day visitors may use the seating area next to the playground and the beach area. Campsites are for paid overnight guests, only.
- Pets are welcome; however, we want to make everyone’s experience enjoyable with some regulations:
- Pets should be on leash, a kennel or gate, or in your camping unit always.
- Pets should not be unattended.
- Pets are not allowed on playground areas.
- You MUST clean up after your pet. If caught not picking up after your pet, there will be a $50 charge.
- Quiet time is enforced from 10 PM to 7 AM.
- Please respect your neighbours. Please do not walk through campsites other than your own. Ensure all items are kept on your campsite and clean up after yourself. Please always be mindful of your noise level.
- Open fires are not allowed. All fires must be contained in fire pits / fire rings provided by Big Manitou Regional Park. All fires must NOT be left unattended for any length of time.
- Big Manitou Regional Park reserves the right to place fire bans on the entirety of the Park with no notice whatsoever.
- Absolutely no cutting of shrubs or trees.
- Big Manitou Regional Park takes absolutely no responsibility for the safety of your camping supplies and other belongings. Please ensure your belongings are properly secured when they are not under your immediate supervision as Big Manitou Regional Park is not liable for damages or loss of items.
- Personal golf carts, not ones supplied from Big Manitou Regional Park, may be used for transportation around the park. The operator MUST hold a valid driver’s license. Golf cart operators must obey the rules of the road, the same as any vehicle. If unable to follow, RCMP will be involved if necessary. Speed limits apply to golf carts and all vehicles.
- ATVs, Off Road Vehicles, Dirt Bikes are not permitted anywhere within the Park.
- Open liquor is prohibited in all public areas. Liquor is permitted at your campsite and in licensed areas, only. If unable to follow, RCMP will be involved if necessary.
- Vandalism, rowdiness, or verbal abuse will not be tolerated at any time within the Park premises. If failed to follow, RCMP will be involved and could result in eviction from the Park.
- Refunds are not granted for an eviction, vacating your site early, inclement weather, wildlife, insects, quality of lake water, air quality, fire bans, car troubles or getting lost on your way to the Park. If you are going to be late arriving, it is your responsibility to advise the Park Manager at 639-822-7654.
- Letting go of efficient grey/black water on the ground is a finable offense under the Litter Control Act. This will be enforced.
- Big Manitou Regional Park reserves the right to refuse services or evict customers who do not follow the rules and regulations of Big Manitou Regional Park.
Big Manitou Regional Park Authority reserves the right to add and/or amend rates, rules, regulations & terms and conditions at any time and as they may deem necessary.
