Blue Lakes Adventure Camp, Elmira, Michigan

 

Park Policies We adhere to and maintain all state, county, and local laws on property. Campers and Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their children and/or pets. Blue Lakes Adventure Camp is a non- residential recreational use only campground/facility. Campers cannot live in/at the campground. Campers are not allowed to receive any package deliveries or mail at the campground. Campground facilities are for registered campers and their approved and registered guests only. Blue Lakes Adventure Camp reserves the right to cancel any reservation/stay at any time- this includes nightly, weekly, monthly or seasonal. Campers must check in at the check in station, show legal identification, and sign the terms and conditions plus liability waiver upon arrival. 

Check In 2pm/ Check Out 11am:

Early check in and late check outs are not permitted. Our office will be closed at 5pm, all check-ins after 5pm must be handled online and prior to arrival. You are not permitted to enter the campground until the check in process has been completed. Site changes must be handled and approved with the front office. 

Open Fires/Firewood

Open fires are not allowed in our park; fires must be in designated fire rings, do not move fire rings. Firewood must be purchased at the front office. Firewood from outside of the campground is strictly prohibited and will be the tenants responsibility for immediate removal. No exceptions. These measures help reduce invasive species across our area. 

Parking/Navigation

A maximum of one (1) vehicle is allowed at each campsite rented, there will be overflow parking available at the front of the campground on a first come first serve basis. Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park. Please use main roads and designated public paths to walk around the campground.


 

Pet Policies

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone whose pet is NOT considered suitable to the serenity/safety of our guests. Blue Lakes Adventure Camp is not responsible for and will hold accountable pet owners for any injury or damage caused by pet(s). The maximum number of pets per site is (2). We require that you keep your pets on a leash at all times. Pets must be kept on a leash under the control of someone who can always manage all animals. Pets are not allowed in buildings or pool areas. Please do not tie your pet to any trees, doors, or posts. Please use the dog walk area and always clean up after your pet. Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites. Waste must be bagged and taken to the dumpster as needed. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund and a $25 fee per incident.
For your pet’s safety due to weather changes, power outages, etc., pets may not be left unattended in campers or at campsites at any time. If you leave, take your pet with you.
All pets must be vaccinated in our park. Please make sure your pets shots are up-to-date. It is always highly recommended to travel with your pet’s shot record. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without refund.

Vehicle Policies

Speed Limit: The park speed limit is 5 mph. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave without refund. 

Parking: Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 1 vehicle per site. Extra vehicles will need to be parked in additional parking spots in the overflow parking area. Please do not park on our grass. Ruts caused in your site due to additional vehicles will result in damage charges. Do not park in the middle of the road. Do not park in sites that you did not register for and do not block our bathrooms or check-in station. Parking on the grass is not permitted at RV Sites.

ATV’s. Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, and Golf Carts

OHV’s are welcome onsite but may not be used within the park-ONLY to get to and from your site. A strict 5mph speed limit will be enforced. 

Severe Weather

Please be responsible and weather vigilant. In case of severe weather, shelter can be utilized in the bathrooms. We love pets, so please bring them with you and please do not leave them in your RV during severe weather warnings. We do not offer any weather related refunds.


 

Visitors

Only registered guests are permitted to enter the park. All visitors must stop in the office to register, pay a fee and receive a parking pass. Visitors may not bring pets. Blue Lakes Adventure Camp reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site. Day visitors must depart by 10:00 pm. No overnight visitors. Registered guests are legally responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all campground rules are followed. All guests visiting the park must register and pick up a pass at the office and park in the designated area. Parking passes must be visible at all times. 

Electrical Use

You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using for your RV. 
Please notify the office so that we can notify maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose or work on our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Charging of electric vehicles is strictly prohibited.

Restrooms

Restrooms are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning once per day. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean. Guests under the age of 18 need adult supervision in the bathrooms and showers as well as the pool area.

Pool & Playground

No lifeguard is on duty. Pool and Playground opens at 11 am and closes at dusk. Anyone under 18 must be supervised in these areas and all areas of the campground at all times. Horseplay, running, and diving is not permitted in our pool area. Alcohol and Food are not permitted inside the pool area. Loud music, glass, and rough play are not permitted at our pool or playground. Children in regular diapers are not allowed in our pool- infants and toddlers up to two years of age must wear swim diapers to prevent the spread of germs. Applicable and appropriate swimwear must be utilized for all guests i.e. swimming suits and swimming trunks, no cut offs/jean clothing in the pool. Please do not let your children climb fences, trees, or furniture. Failure to follow these rules may result in you being asked to leave without refund. Children who are unable to swim must wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times while in or near the water. A parent or legal guardian must be in the pool and within arm’s reach of the child at all times.

 

Quiet Time 

Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. 

Trash Disposal and Recycling

Dumpsters are located at the end of the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, large items, toxic waste, chemicals or any hazardous waste items at the campground. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in charges for disposal fees.

Children

Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Horseplay, running, or diving in the pool is not permitted. Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by 9pm. Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Drones

Drones are not permitted in our park. Please do not fly drones over people or RVs. 

Clotheslines

Clotheslines are not permitted in our park.

Fireworks and Firearms/Behavior

All fireworks including sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers, etc. are prohibited on the grounds. All firearms including airsoft, BB, and pellet guns are prohibited on the grounds. If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Use of illegal drugs is PROHIBITED. Profanity or violence towards other guests or staff will result in immediate eviction from the park. Vandalism of any kind by anyone in your group (regardless of age) may result in eviction from the park.

Repairs/Washing
Washing RVs or vehicles is not permitted at campsites. Please use the designated rinsing area for washing/spraying ORVs. Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted in our park. 

Safety and Emergencies

All emergencies: Life threatening situations please call 911. 

Non emergencies: If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call (321) 312-9371 24 hours a day. 

Liability Waiver: The Blue Lakes Adventure Camp, LLC liability waiver is required to be physically signed in person before 5pm at the check in station and completed before entry to our park on the day of your arrival-this includes any approved visiting guests to your campsite.

Campground

All guests of Blue Lakes Adventure Camp, LLC (“Resort”) will be required to be checked in and out upon arrival/departure, and agree to follow the Resort’s rules and regulations.

Acknowledgements of risks, release, indemnification agreement, and covenant not to sue. Each part of this document must be completed and signed before using Resort facilities or participating in Resort activities.

Notice: This legally binding release of liability and waiver of certain legal rights is an enforceable contract between the undersigned user (“you”) and Blue Lakes Adventure Camp, LLC  (“Resort” or “Property”), including Resort employees, agents, directors, members and other persons and entities (“Employees”). The pronoun “you” includes any third party whose behalf you are signing. Only legal parents or guardians may sign on behalf of and waive their child’s rights as set forth below. Legal advice should be sought if anything on this document is not understood.

Assumption and Acknowledgement of Risks

Any and every person desiring to participate in or use any entity on or maintained by the Resort, including but not limited to: fire rings, the pool, playground, common areas bathhouse pavilion grills (any “Facilities”); or hiking, swimming, exercising, running, biking, showering, and any other resort related activity, including ones occurring near or at the water or in nature (“Activities”) must complete this Waiver of Liability and Release Form.  Use or participation in Resort Activities and/or Facilities (also referred to as “Grounds”) creates risks that may result in injury and loss potentially arising from the action, inaction, conduct, or negligence by you, the Resort, or others; the rules of play; adverse weather conditions; or the condition of the Grounds or equipment. Risks may cause physical injury, disability, death, loss of use or damage to personal property, severe social and economic losses, and more. 

BY ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR USING FACILITIES, YOU VOLUNTARILY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL RISKS AND DANGERS THAT MAY OCCUR PURSUANT TO YOUR USE OF AN PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES ON THE GROUNDS, INCLUDING THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

1. You have received sufficient information about the Grounds, and recognize other risks and dangers may be, known, unknown, anticipated, unanticipated, or not described herein.

2. You have full knowledge of the nature and extent of all risks associated with the Grounds, and willfully assume such risks associated with your intentional and actual use, despite the harm that may result. You are responsible for requesting, reading, and complying with Resort Rules, Regulations and Policies, which are subject to change. Non-compliance may result in the denial of entry, participation, or use of the Grounds, at the Resort or Employees’ discretion.

3. You agree to give up certain legal rights and/or possible claims which you might otherwise assert or maintain against Resort and its owners, affiliates, their respective partners, agents, operators, managers, employees and representatives (“Released Parties”), including, but not limited to, rights arising from or claims for the acts or omissions, fault or negligence of the Released Parties. This applies to losses, damages, death or injury actually or allegedly caused in whole or part by the negligence of the Released Parties, including claims of stolen or damaged property, virus or illness, including COVID- 19, allergic reactions, bug or insect bites, and anything else that may occur while on the Property.

4. You and any of your agents, children, heirs, or representatives acting on your behalf promise and agree to the covenants to hold harmless and to indemnify the Released Parties against all damage which you may negligently or intentionally cause to third parties during your participation in or use of the Grounds and assume full responsibility and legal liability (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) for such claims.

5. You understand that this Waiver of Liability and Release Form is intended to be, and is, a complete release of any responsibility of the Released Parties for any and all personal injuries, temporary or permanent disability, death, and/or property damage sustained by you while on or using the Facilities, Grounds, and/or Activities.

6. You agree, for yourself and your heirs, not to sue the Released Parties or initiate or assist in the prosecution of any claim for damages or cause of action against the Related Parties which you or your heirs may have as a result of any personal injury, death or property damage you may sustain while on or using the Facilities, Grounds, and/or Activities.

7. If an accident occurs, you become ill, or injured during use or stay on the Property, you consent to medical treatment. You will not be provided medical insurance benefits and will be held personally liable for any medical bills, including co-payments and deductibles, even if you have no such insurance. You are in good physical and mental health, not suffering from any condition, disease, or disablement, which can or may potentially affect participation in Activities.

8. You acknowledge and agree that you are fully and solely responsible for any of your property and personal belongings that you bring onto the Grounds and that Released Parties will not be responsible for or provide any security for such belongings.

9. You acknowledge that the Released Parties make no representation as to the condition of the Grounds, Facilities, and/or Activities, or the safety of any structures or equipment that may be used thereon. You accept and shall use the Grounds, Facilities, and/or Activities in their “AS IS” condition. You acknowledge and agree that you are not relying upon any representation or statement by the Released Parties except to the extent such representations are expressly set forth in this agreement.

10. Any photographic images, video, or audio recording taken during your stay or use of the Resort shall be granted to the Resort for use and ownership.

11. This agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of Michigan. If a portion of this agreement is held invalid, the valid portions and intent of this agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

By signing below, you have carefully read and fully understand the effect of relinquishing the above stated rights, and voluntarily sign this Waiver of Liability and Release Form without any inducement. You acknowledge that prior to signing this agreement, you had the opportunity to consult with an attorney to review this agreement. You are at least 18 years of age and fully competent, and you execute this agreement intending to be fully bound by the terms thereof.
