PARADISE STREAM FAMILY CAMPGROUND RULES, POLICIES & REGULATIONS

 

We are obligated to follow the local codes and regulations for campgrounds. Please see below for Campground rules. Please note, this is not a comprehensive list. Management reserves the right to change any of these rules before, during, or after the season, without prior notice to Campers. Any rule change will be posted in the office. Any situations not covered here will be up to Management’s discretion to resolve. Camper includes all campers, licensees, guests, and visitors of the Campground. Campers agree to comply with these rules and regulations as outlined below. 

 

These rules and regulations are instituted for the safety and security of all licensees, campers, guests, visitors, staff and Management of Paradise Stream Family Campground. Repeated violations of these rules will result in the removal from the Campground of individual or individuals whether registered campers or visitors without refund. Re-admittance to the Campground will be at the discretion of Management.

Activities:

•      Please visit https://campparadisestream.com/ or visit our Facebook for CampersApp to view events and activities planned during your stay. 

•      You will receive a reservation reminder a few days prior to your stay which will include a list of events and activities for that weekend. 

•      Events and activities are subject to change. 

Alcohol:

•      All Campers must be of legal age to consume alcohol within the Campground.

•      Alcohol must be consumed on your Campsite only. Open display of alcohol is not allowed.

•      Anyone using vulgar language or who is excessively consuming alcohol, using drugs or in the opinion of Campground Management who is acting in a rowdy or loud manner that is creating a disturbance, will be asked to leave the Campground immediately with no refund.  

 Amenities:

   Registration as a Camper at the Campground includes use of amenities including playground, swimming pool, lake, mini-golf course, mining sluice, volleyball/badminton court, basketball court, pedal go-karts, Gaga pit, Shuffleboard, bathhouses, campground store, laundry room, game room, wagon rides and group facilities. Some amenities have a fee.

•      As noted in the waiver and agreed to by Camper, Camper  and camper's visitors use of  these amenities voluntarily and at their own risk. Campground is not responsible for any injuries that may be sustained by Camper and anyone in their care, including children or guests, in their use of amenities.

The game room takes TOKENS, please have your child get change from the change machine or change at the store. Please be sure they DO NOT JAM THE MACHINES. An adult MUST be present with a child under 16.

Bicycles:

•      Children aged 12 years and younger must wear a helmet when riding a bicycle.

•      Riding after dusk is prohibited unless a light is attached to the bike.

•      Dirt bikes are not allowed at the Campground. 

•      Campground and Campground Management is not responsible for accidents occurring from bicycle riding. Ride at your own risk!

Boat Rentals:

•      Children aged 18 years or younger must be accompanied by their parents when renting a kayak or paddle boat. 

•      Life jackets must be worn at all times while in a kayak or paddle boat.

•      There must be a minimum of two people in a paddle boat at all times. 

•      Kayaks may be rented at the office for a fee of $10 an hour. 

Campfires and Firewood:

•      Campfires must remain inside your fire ring. 

•      Do not burn garbage in the fire ring. 

•      Please do not leave trash, batteries, and other items in the firepit. Camper will be charged a $25.00 cleaning charge if garbage is left in fire ring.

•      Do not leave fire unattended. Fires must be attended to at all times. 

•      Campfires must be completely extinguished before retiring for the evening. 

•      Firewood must be purchased in Perry County. This is a Perry County policy.

•      The spotted lanternfly is an invasive species which causes diseases and kills our trees. Do not leave unused firewood at the Campsite. Camper must take unused firewood with them when checking-out of the Campground

•      Campfires may be restricted by the Township for extreme dryness. 

Cabins:  Check in 3, Check out 12

•      All cabins are smoke free and Pet friendly.

•      All cabins must be left the way they are found. Dishes must be cleaned and dried.  

•      A fire pit and picnic table will be provided to the Camper at each cabin site.  

•      Campers must not exceed the total occupancy of each cabin.  

•      All garbage must be disposed of at the dumpster in accordance with state law.  

•      A $50.00 - $500 fee will be charged for all cabins left with any type of damage.

 Two Room Cabin  CHeck in 3 Check out 12

The two-room cabin sleeps two adults and two children.    

   The cabin has one queen size bed, a futon, microwave, a two-burner stove, sink, refrigerator with freezer, bath with shower, and an air conditioning and heating unit.   

  Campers must provide linens, bath, and kitchen supplies.  

  We offer a linen package that is $50.00 for the Two-Room Cabin. If you choose the linen  package, we ask when you leave the cabin you take all the linen off the bed and place it on a pile at the bottom of the bed.

  Plates, cups, utensils, coffee maker and basic pots and pans for cooking indoors will be provided. We ask you clean your dishes and dry them placing them back where you found them.  

 

Deluxe Cabins: CHeck in 3 Check out 12

The Deluxe cabin sleeps 6.

   The Deluxe cabin has a queen bed, one set of bunk beds and a futon.  

   The Deluxe cabin is pet friendly.

   Utensils, dinnerware, bakeware, and cookware are provided in each deluxe cabin.

  Camper must bring linens, and shower and kitchen supplies.  

   We offer a linens package that is $75.00 for the Deluxe Cabins.

  The cabin has heat and air conditioning.  

    Gristmill Lodge Check in 3 CHeck out 12

  Sleeps a total of 12.  

   Campers must provide linens, bath, and kitchen supplies.  

   Includes a master bedroom with a king bed and access to a bathroom, queen bedroom, futon in the living room and singe beds in the loft area. There is also a porch swing.  

  We offer a linen package that is $100.00 for the Lodge. This includes bedding only.

  Gristmill lodge includes heat and air conditioning.  

The lodge is also pet friendly.  Before leaving the Lodge we ask you run the dishwasher and place the dishes where they belong.

 Campsites:

•      Please clean your site before checking-out and leave it the way it was found. 

•      A cleaning fee of $25.00 will be charged if your Campsite is left a mess. 

Cancellation Policy:

•      Camper will receive a full refund minus a $25.00 service fee if notice of cancellation or modification is received 10 days prior to arrival on a non-holiday. 

•      If notice is received within 10 days of the non-holiday arrival date, Camper will receive a full refund, minus a one-night stay for any reservation type. 

•      Camper will receive a full refund minus a $25.00 service fee if notice of cancellation or modification is received 15 days prior arrival on a holiday. 

•      If notice is received within 15 days of the holiday arrival date, Camper will receive a full refund, minus a one-night stay for any reservation type. 

Check-in and Check-out Times ($):

•      Check-in time is 3:00 PM.

•      Early check-in or late check-out is based upon availability and is not guaranteed. YOU CAN ONLY BOOK EARLY CHECK IN OR LATE CHECK OUT UNTIL THE DAY YOU CHECK IN OR CHECK OUT. 

•      A $10.00 early check-in or late check-out fee will be charged. 

•      All guests must register at the office. 

Cabins, Lodge and Glamping check in is at 3, CHeck out is 12

Children:

•      Children aged 18 years or younger must stay with a registered adult Camper. 

•      Parents, guardians, or other responsible adults are responsible for the actions of their children. 

•      Children aged 16 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult to the restrooms, swimming pool and game room. 

 Emergency:

•      In case of emergency, call 911 and contact the Campground office at (717) 789-2117 and leave a message.

Fireworks

•      All fireworks, including sparklers are prohibited on Campground property.

Fishing in lake: 

•      Catch and release only. 

•      Worms are the only live bait permitted in the lake. 

•      Minnows are prohibited to be used as bait in the lake. 

•      Lures are permitted. 

Garbage:  PENNSYLVANIA LAW states Garbage and Refuse Containing Food Wastes must be kept in leak-proof, nonabsorbent, rust and corrosion-resistant containers of adequate number, which shall be kept covered with tight-fitting lids.  

•      All garbage must be disposed of at the dumpster. WE DO NOT PICK UP GARBAGE.

•      Dumpsters are placed throughout the Campground can be found on the Campground map. 

 •      Containers must be kept with tight-fitting lids at all times. 

Gate Policy:

•      A gate card will be provided upon check-in to the Campground. 

•      The gate card provides access into the Campground. 

•      Please only drive one car through the gate at a time as the gate will come down between cars. 

•      When checking-out of the Campground, a red drop-off box is provided at the gate for the deposit of gate cards. 

•      Please place gate cards in the red drop-box or stop at the store when checking-out.

•      A $20.00 fee will be charged if you lose or do not return the gate key.

Glamping Tents

•      All glamping tents are smoke free and pet friendly.

•      All glamping tents are set up with either a Queen size bed or two twin beds, in addition to an end table, charcoal grill, a fire pit and a picnic table. 

•      Camper must bring their own charcoal. 

•      Bedroom linens, including pillows are provided by the Campground. 

•      A 20-amp electric service and water are provided at each glamping tent. 

Golf Cart Rental Agreement: Golf carts rent for  a minimum of 2 days

 1. Camper acknowledges receipt of the Golf Cart which was examined by Camper and found to be in first-class condition upon receipt (except as noted below). Camper further acknowledges that the Golf Cart is leased by Campground Management to Camper, for the use and purpose for which it was manufactured subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein.

2. Camper shall return the Golf Cart to the office no later 2 PM on the last day of rental or upon Campground Management’s demand thereto.

3. Camper shall pay to Campground Management, upon demand, rental fee for the Golf Cart at the rates provided until the Golf Cart is returned to Campground Management. Daily 23-hour rates will apply unless other arrangements are made with Campground Management in advance. Daily rates will apply if the Golf Cart is kept after the scheduled return date. All days including weekends and holidays are chargeable.

 4. The Golf Cart shall be returned in the same condition as when received, ordinary wear accepted. Camper shall reimburse Campground Management, upon demand for the loss of, or any damage to the Golf Cart or property damage while it is rented to Camper and for all costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fee, incurred by Campground Management in collecting and amounts owing by Camper hereunder or in otherwise enforcing Campground Management’s rights hereunder.

 5. Camper shall indemnify and hold Campground Management harmless from and against any and all liability, including bodily injury and property damage, arising out of the use or operation of the Golf Cart by Camper or anyone using or operating the same with Camper’s express or implied consent: provided, however, that Campground Management shall be responsible for loss or damage resulting from Campground Management’s sole negligence.

 6. Camper shall abide by all rules and regulations of Campground Management governing the use of the Golf Cart (ONLY HOLDERS OF A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE OF AT LEAST ONE YEAR MAY OPERATE THE GOLF CART).

7. Camper shall not assign the rental contract or sublease the Golf Cart.

8. Camper shall immediately report any Golf Cart malfunctions to the Campground Office.

 9. Camper acknowledges that the Golf Cart carries a maximum of four people and/or 550 pounds. This must not be exceeded.

10. Camper shall apply the brake and ensure that the key is in the off position and removed when the Golf Cart is not occupied.

 11. Camper acknowledges that the Golf Cart must be charged overnight and as needed.

12. Camper acknowledges that Golf Cart must only be used on gravel driveways within the Campground to and from Campsites. The Golf Cart must not be driven on paths designated and posted for golf cart owners only.

 INDEMNIFICATION: Camper enters into this Golf Cart Rental Agreement of Camper’s own free will and assumes all risk and liability of any kind resulting from Camper’s use of the Golf Cart. Paradise Stream Family Campground shall not be liable for any damage or injury of or to the Camper, Family, designated Visitors, Day or Overnight Visitors, invitees, Licensees, agents or employees or to any person entering the Site or premises of which the site are a part or to goods or Golf Cart, or in the structure or Golf Cart of the structure of which the Site is part, and Camper hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold Paradise Stream Family Campground harmless from any and all claims or assertions of every kind and nature.

 SEVERABILITY: If any part or term of this contract shall be deemed invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this Golf Cart Rental Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. Camper and Paradise Stream Family Campground irrevocably agree that this Golf Cart Rental Agreement shall be enforceable under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and submit to jurisdiction of said Court. I HAVE RECEIVED AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT, RULES, AND RATE INFORMATION, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL

•      Golf cart can be rented at the Campground office.  

Golf carts may be rented beginning at 3:00 PM and must be returned on or before 2:00 PM.

•      Golf carts must be rented for 2 nights if the rental begins on a Friday and 3 nights if the rental begins on a Thursday. 

•      Rented golf carts must only be used on gravel driveways within the Campground to and from Campsites. Rented golf carts must not be driven on paths designated and posted for golf cart owners only.  

•      Golf carts must not be operated after 11:00 PM or before 8:00 AM. 

•      Speed limit is 5 miles per hour at all times and in all places on the Campground. 

Personal Golf Cart Liability Waiver: There is a $30 one time pass or a $60 yearly pass to ride on the grounds.

In exchange for the privilege to operate a golf cart in the Paradise Stream Family Campground, I hereby accept responsibility for my own negligence and the negligence of any operator of my golf cart. I hereby agree to operate the golf cart in a safe manner,and adhere to all rules set forth by Paradise Stream Family Campground. I ensure that anyone operating the golf cart with my consent does the same. I acknowledge that I am liable for all medical and legal claims that may arise from the use or misuse of the golf cart. I voluntarily agree to accept the risks of using a golf cart and on behalf of myself, my personal representatives and my heirs hereby voluntarily release Paradise Stream Family Campground, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, actions, causes of actions, suits, judgments and demands for bodily injury, property damage, loss of life and /or loss of services, in law and equity, that may in any way or manner arise out of use of the golf cart.

1.     I am at least 18 years of age and have shown proof of my valid driver’s license. I assume all responsibility for any one operating this golf cart at Paradise Stream Family Campground.

2.     I acknowledge that any one I permit to operate the golf cart shall be 16 years of age and in possession of a valid driver’s license for one year.

3.     The golf cart must be operated in accordance with the rules at Paradise Stream Family Campground and I acknowledge receipt of both.

 I am responsible for the possession/control of vehicle keys when not in use.

Golf carts are a motorized vehicle and driving or riding in these vehicles can lead to serious injury, property damage and even death.

The use of these vehicles is for transportation and the use thereof should conform with all rules and regulations of Paradise Stream Family Campground. 

No excessive speeding, joy riding, disregard to traffic, or any type of unreasonable activity with the golf cart will not be tolerated by Paradise Stream Campground.

I will limit the number of golf cart occupants to the number of occupants recommended by the golf cart manufacturer.

I hereby acknowledge that Paradise Stream Family Campground does not give warnings with regards to violations of the rules. I acknowledge and agree that in the event my golf cart is used in violation of the rules, Paradise Stream Family Campground may ask me to remove myself and my golf cart from the property, without a refund.

I have carefully read, understand and voluntarily agree to the terms above and Paradise Stream Family Campgrounds rules and regulation. 

We ask if you do not have room at your site for your trailer that you talk with the staff so we can get you a parking spot that will be out of the way of other campers.

 Camper is responsible for carrying insurance coverage on your RV, vehicle(s) and their contents. 

  Campground is not liable for any acts of theft or vandalism or for any damages caused by natural events. 

•      All personal golf carts MUST have a certificate of liability insurance and a park-issued permit. 

•      Park issued permits are $60 for seasonal permits or $30 per reservation.

•      Proof of insurance must be provided to Campground office staff upon arrival. 

•      Only a licensed driver, 16 years of age or older may operate the golf cart.  

Please return pass in the red box or at the office prior to leaving.

 

Lake:

•      No swimming is permitted in the lake.

Lock Site Fee:

•      A $10.00 lock site fee is required if requesting a specific site or groupings of sites.  

•      Lock site fees are non-refundable.

•      The lock site fee guarantees a Camper the site requested. 

•      Campers may opt out of the fee. If a Camper opts out of the lock site fee, the Camper risks that they may be moved to a site of the same cost. Campground will ensure the site fits your unit requirements.

Lost or Stolen Items:

•      Campground is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Check the store for lost items.

Mini Golf

•      Children aged 16 or younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult when playing mini golf. 

•      Mini golf is $5.00 for adults and children aged 12 years or older; $3 for children aged 5 years of age through 11 years of age. Children aged 4 years and younger are free. 

Minimum Stay:

•      A minimum of a 3-night stay is required on holiday weekends. 

•      A 2-night minimum stay is required at all other times. 

•      Contact the Campground directly for inquiries for a one-night stay.

Occupancy

•      Weekend Campsites have a maximum ten (10) person occupancy, including two (2) adults. 

PETS:

Some visitors enjoy sharing the pleasure of camping with their dog or cat. To ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, we have established and strictly enforce the following policies: NO PETS ARE ALLOWED, except under the following conditions for registered & seasonal campers: Limit of 2 pets per site. A $20.00 fee will be charged for a third pet and will be permitted only at Campground Management’s discretion. Visitors are not permitted to bring pets with them. Pets that are hostile and aggressive will be asked to leave the Campground along with their owner with no refund. If your pet bites another person or another pet, you will be asked to leave the Campground immediately with no refund. The Campground has a dog park where dogs can run, bark and play. Pets must be leashed at all times. Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet. If there is an incident with your pet, you must report it to the office immediately. Do not leave a dog tethered and unattended. Please always clean up after your pet on all parts of the Campground. Do not allow pets to relieve themselves on other sites. Pets are not allowed to be left in a camper unattended. Pets are not allowed to bark constantly and disturb other campers. Quiet is a must, if barking continues the owner will be asked to leave with no refund. Pets are NOT permitted in the store, playground, or lake, game room, laundry, rec hall and pavilion. Pets are not allowed on other Campsites. CAMPGROUND MANAGEMENT reserves the right to remove, without prior notice, anyone who fails to obey rules or is creating a disturbance or is a nuisance, WITHOUT REFUNDS.

Photos and Videos:

•      Security cameras are used throughout the Campground and in the Game Room. 

•      As agreed to in the Photo Release, entrance onto the Campground constitutes permission for Campground Management to photograph, video, etc. the camper or visitor while they are on the premises, and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without compensation to or approval from the camper or visitor. 

Drones:

Because we respect the privacy of all our campers, using drones at the campground is NOT allowed. 

 Playground Area:

• Playground closes at DUSK.

Please read and adhere to the signage placed at the playground for rules and regulations.

We asked that your children respect our playgrounds. NO bullying, No hitting the equipment with sticks. 

 

Quiet Time and Noise:

•      Quiet time begins at 11:00 PM and ends at 8:00 AM. 

•      Children under the age of 18 years old must be on a Campsite during quiet time and accompanied by their parents, guardians, or another responsible adult. 

•      Please be considerate of your fellow campers. 

•      Excessive noise is not allowed at any time and may not interfere with anyone’s ability to use or the enjoy the Campground. 

•      All noise must be confined to the Campsite.

All public areas of the Campground are closed after 11 p.m. 

•      Vehicles may only be used during quiet time to enter and exit the Campground. 

•      Please contact (717) 789-2117 if there is a noise disturbance after hours. 

            NO FIREWORKS AT ANY TIME !!!!

 

Refunds:

•      No refunds will be given for cancellation or modification of your reservation due to inclement weather, elevated heat, acts beyond the Campground’s control, including power outages, or leaving the Campground prior to your scheduled departure. 

 

Safety:

•      Playground equipment, all Campground Activities, the lake and Sherman’s Creek are to be enjoyed at the Camper’s own risk. 

•      Please respect all Camper’s and supervise your children. 

•      Anyone not complying with these rules and regulations may be asked to leave with no refund.

 

Security:

•      Campground hosts are in the Campground at all times. 

•      Security is on staff on the weekend. 

 

Swimming Pool:

    Hours are:

     Sunday-Wednesday 9-6   Thursday-Saturday 9-8  

     Swimming pool hours are subject to change. 

     Please follow the rules at the pool.

Trees:

•   No cutting of trees of any kind, whether dead or alive, is permitted in the Campground Please speak to the staff if there is an issue we will evaluate the situation.

Visitors and Additional Guests ($):

•      All visitors and additional guests must register and check-in at the office upon entry to the     Campground. 

•      Unregistered visitors are not allowed to enter the Campground when the office is closed. 

•      Visitor’s will be charged a daily visitor’s fee of $7.00 per person. 

•      Overnight guests will be charged $12.00 per person per night. 

•      Visitors younger than 18 years of age or older than 62 years old are free. 

•      No visitors are permitted before 9:00 AM and must leave by 11:00 PM unless registered as an overnight guest. 

•      Any guest or visitor not complying with the rules and regulations, causing dissension or displaying any conduct or action that is considered unsuitable by Campground Management will be asked to leave the Campground immediately with no refund. 

 

 

Vehicles:

•      Speed limit is 5 miles per hour on all roads. The speed limit applies to all vehicles and golf carts.

•      The 5 miles per hour speed limit is strictly enforced. Anyone who does not obey the speed limit will lose their Campsite without a refund. 

•      Vehicles must be registered upon arrival. 

•      Vehicle pass must be displayed at all times. 

•      Golf-carts must be registered at check-in. 

 

Violation of Rules:

 Campground Management reserves the right to immediately remove, without prior notice, Licensee, family, and guests after any undesirable behavior, or upon violation of any rule, or who, in Management’s opinion, is creating a disturbance of any kind or is a nuisance. No refunds will be given. 

By signing these terms and conditions you have agreed to all the above policies of Paradise Stream Family Campground.
