PARK RULES & REGULATIONS / TERMS & CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS/BOOKINGS

-        Payment in full is required at time of booking.  All camping fees, including a non-refundable reservation fee and non-refundable booking fee will be charged to your credit card.

-        Reservation cancellations are to be made 3 or more days priors to the scheduled arrival for a full refund (minus the non-refundable fees).   A cancellation fee with be charged for cancellations made 2 days or less prior to the scheduled arrival. 

-        Cabin reservations are to be made using a credit card only. No cash/debit will be accepted.

-        Cabin reservation cancellations must be made 3 or more days prior to the scheduled arrival for a full refund (minus the non-refundable fees), otherwise a cancellation fee will be applied to your credit card.

-        Cabin cancellations made within 24 hrs of the scheduled arrival time will result in forfeiture of both the reservation and entire camping fees.

-        Cabin has a minimum stay policy of two-night minimum stay during the period of June 30 to August 30.  No refunds are provided for early departures.

 

PARK AND CAMPGROUND RULES

All campers, and visitors must adhere to the following rules. The penalty for violating any laws or park rules may be eviction from the park. Campers evicted from the campground for any circumstances are not eligible for any refund.

Operating Hours
Gatehouse hours will be 8:30 am to 8:30 pm.  No permits or passes will be issued after 8:30 pm.

Visitors
All visitors to the campground must purchase a day use pass and park in the designated parking areas.  Visitors are admitted during the normal hours of the park only. Hours may be restricted at other times at the discretion of the Supervisor.

Visitors must vacate the campground at 9:00 pm. All visitors must register their vehicles and pay the appropriate fee.  Only registered campers may remain in the campground after 9:00 pm.  It is the responsibility of the permit holder to make sure all fees are paid, and vehicles are registered.

Quiet time
Please keep the volume of your music, voices, and other noises to a reasonable level. Interfering with anyone else’s use or enjoyment of the park/campground, day, or night, is not only inconsiderate it is also contrary to park rules. Quiet hours will be enforced 24 hours a day.

Length Of Stay
Daily and monthly rates are available. A maximum of 30 days is permitted per reservation.

Changing your site
Changing sites (transient sites) within the campground is permitted but must be done through Park Staff, at the gatehouse.  Once the Staff has confirmed the site is available, has made the changes and provided you with new permits, you may set up camp.

Camping, Parking and Vehicle Permits

·        Permit holder must be 21 years of age and have proof of age.

·        Up to three pieces of shelter equipment allowed per site, only one of which may be a trailer or tent trailer. One storage shed/unit is permitted and is not to exceed 60”x 79” x 54” in size. The storage shed/bin shall not be considered a piece of shelter equipment. Shed must be approved by Team Lead, Field Operations.

·        One vehicle is included with a camping permit. Additional vehicles must purchase an extra vehicle pass. Only a maximum of two (2) vehicles permitted to park per campsite.  All other vehicles must park in designated area.

·        All passes/receipts, including seasonal passes must be displayed on vehicle dashboard or rearview mirror, at all times when entering the park. NOTE: Please have your vehicle come to a complete stop at the campground entrance in order to allow staff to validate your pass. Not stopping or passing other vehicles violates the parks regulations.

·        Visitors wishing to stay overnight on a registered site may do so if the maximum occupancy (6) has not been reached.  The visitor must pay the appropriate vehicle fee for an overnight stay.

·        A maximum of six (6) people or a single family (of parents and children under the age of 21 years) permitted

·        Children under the age of 16 years must be on their own campsite by 9:00 pm unless accompanied by an adult.

·        The speed limit within Charlottenburgh Park is 10 km/hr.

Alcoholic, Cannabis & Illegal Drugs

·     Alcohol and cannabis are only permitted on registered campsites. Intoxication of any kind in a public place is prohibited.

·     Alcohol and cannabis are not permitted in day-use or other public areas. Drinking, or the possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in any other park area, other than your campsite, is prohibited.

·     Substance abuse including illegal drugs is prohibited                           


Unlicensed Motor Vehicles, All Terrain Vehicles
ATV’s, off-road motorcycles or any other unlicensed vehicles are not permitted.  Bicycles are permitted on park roads only.

Golf Carts Gas/propane/battery operated) are allowed but are subject to the following:

·     Golf carts must be identified with the Lot #.  Number must be placed on the golf cart so it may be visible at all times

·     Golf cart drivers must be 16 years of age or older.

·     Golf carts may only be operated on park roadways.  They are prohibited from walking trails, fields, woodlots and beach.

·     Golf carts are prohibited at night unless they have proper lighting.

·     The number of occupants riding in a golf card cannot exceed the manufacturer’s designated seating capacity.

Pets

·        Pets must be on a leash, not exceeding six feet and kept under control at all times.

·        Pets are not allowed in the swimming, beach or picnic area or any areas adjacent to these locations.

·        Owners must pick up after their pets.

·        No pets shall be left unattended or be allowed to disturb other campers or visitors.


Having your pet at the campground is a privilege and not a contractual right.  Such permission is expressly conditional upon the camper’s adherence to these rules at any given time.  The campground may revoke such permission at any time, for any reason.  Additionally, the camper assumes all responsibility of risks, injury, damage, other harm that may occur while their pet is at the campground or caused by their pet.

Campsite Maintenance

·       Campers must always maintain a clean and orderly site.  Campsites must be cleaned before leaving the site.

·       Campers are responsible for all garbage and recyclable material during their stay as well as departure.

·       The planting of gardens and other landscaping within the park/campground is strongly discouraged.

·       The use of pesticides and herbicides within the park/campground is prohibited, unless carried out by RRCA/Park staff.


Garbage Disposal

·       Garbage must be collected and properly disposed of in the bins provided

·       Furniture, appliances, construction material and/or other hazardous items or materials shall not be disposed of at the park/campground.  Disposal of these items into or beside waste bins is strictly prohibited.

·       No garbage shall be brought into Charlottenburgh Park.  Charlottenburgh Park disposal sites shall only be used for garbage generated within the park/campground.
 

Trees and Vegetation

·         This is a conservation area with a natural setting – please keep it natural.  No person shall damage any property or cut, remove, damage any tree, plant, or shrub. It is against the law to remove or destroy anything in the park.

·         Campers shall not plant any trees or shrubs without the prior express written approval of the RRCA. If permitted, all trees and shrubs planted by campers shall become the property of the RRCA and shall not be removed.

·         Campers shall not prune or trim trees without the prior written approval of the Team Lead, Field Operations.

Fires

·       Campfires are permitted in designated areas only.  They must be contained within the designated fire pit and no bigger than 3’ x 3’ x 3’.  Camper, their family and guests are responsible to ensure that any fire is under control at all times, is supervised at all times, and that fires are fully extinguished before retiring for the evening.

·       One fire pit per campsite
 

Generators

·       “Quiet-running” generators are permitted within the campground during the hours of 8:30 am to 10:30 am and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The generators must be enclosed in a structure or self-contained. Industrial-type generators are prohibited.

Swimming

·       The beach is unsupervised.  Swim at your own risk.  Never swim alone or in unmarked areas.  Use the buddy system. Always watch for children and non-swimmers.
 

Boating, Water-skiing, Jet-skiing, etc.

·       All watercrafts are prohibited in the swimming area and in areas directly adjacent to the swimming area and within 200 feet directly adjacent to the swimming area.

General Rules

·       Fireworks are not permitted in the park/campground

·       Firearms are prohibited in the park/campground

·       Hunting is prohibited in the park/campground

·       Soliciting or selling products or services of any kind, without prior RRAC/Park Staff permission, is prohibited.


Park and Campground Etiquette

·       All campers and their visitors must act in a kind and respectful manner and must not interfere with the ability of others to enjoy Charlottenburgh Park in a quiet and peaceful setting.

·       Verbal or physical abuse or threatening behaviour toward RRCA/Park personnel, campers and visitors shall not be tolerated and will result in immediate and indefinite eviction, without refund, from Charlottenburgh Park.

·       Harassment of any kind towards RRCA/Park staff will not be tolerated.

·       Excessive noise or disturbance is not permitted at any time.  Any fighting, yelling, intoxication or use of obscene or vulgar language shall not be tolerated.

·       All campers are responsible for the actions of the registered members and visitors, and will be held liable for any damage, vandalization, or destruction to/of the park and campground.

·       RRCA/Park staff may evict without refund, at its sole and unfettered discretion, any person(s) whose conduct or actions are detrimental to the operation of the campground and the enjoyment of the public.

 
Waiver/Acknowledgement

RRCA/Park Staff have the full authority to enforce the rules as set out in this Agreement and the rules and policies of Charlottenburgh Park and the RRCA.  The RRCA may amend rules and policies from time to time, including the Seasonal Camping Rules & Regulations.  Campsite occupancy shall be a personal, exclusive, revocable, and unassignable license and nothing contained herein shall be deemed to create a tenancy or possessory interest.  RRCA/Park Staff reserve the right to evict without prior notice any camper or guest who, in our judgment, creates a disturbance or nuisance or deliberately breaks any of the rules.  NO refunds will be made in such case.  In the event of a camper’s expulsion, trailer and all personal items must be removed from Park property within 48 hours of notice, at the Camper’s expense.  Camper is required to carry liability and comprehensive insurance to protect against fire, windstorm, water damage, damage from windblown objects or falling trees or limbs, hail, vandalism, and theft.

Charlottenburgh Park, the RRCA, its members and employees are not responsible for loss of any kind, and it is mutually understood that the camper hereby releases Charlottenburgh Park and the RRCA from any and all liability for the care and/or safety of trailer or any possessions owned by the camper or their guests while on Charlottenburgh Park property at any time during the year.  It is also understood that Charlottenburgh Park and the RRCA are not responsible for damage to the camper’s trailer due to movement of trailer or any other vehicle or trailer by Charlottenburgh Park and the RRCA when such movement was requested by camper or required as a result of abandonment or when the trailer is not removed from the property within 48 hours of notice.  The Camper also understands that there is no security protection system in effect at Charlottenburgh Park at any time during the year and that the camper assumes all responsibility and liability for their trailer and/or possessions while they are used and/or stored at Charlottenburgh Park.  Charlottenburgh Park is a natural environment with inherent risks of bodily injury.  Charlottenburgh Park and the RRCA assume no responsibility for bodily injury sustained while on the Charlottenburgh Park property.

This agreement is for the benefit of and is binding upon the undersigned Occupant.  I acknowledge that I have these Terms & Conditions and understand and agree to comply with all the provisions set out in this agreement, including the Park & Campground Rules, and that Charlottenburgh Park and the RRCA are not responsible to me, my family or associates for any injuries suffered or loss due to theft, hydro loss, fire or other causes, in respect of which Charlottenburgh Park and the RRCA are not responsible, liable for or negligent.
