Chestnut Ridge (Park and) Campground Policies

This property is privately owned. By staying at Chestnut Ridge Campground you agree to abide by all rules and regulations. If you fail to do so, you will be asked to leave immediately.   No refunds will be given.  We will not tolerate onerous, noxious, or offensive activity of any sort that could interrupt or adversely affect the enjoyment of other parties utilizing the Campground.  Chestnut Ridge Campground reserves the right to amend rules at any time.

 

PAYMENT 

Payment in full is required at the time of reservation and we do not issue refunds for cancelations.

A Visa, Master Card or Discover number is required for each reservation.  All reservations require payment in full.  

SITE GUARANTEES  Your site # is subject to change prior to arrival, unless a site lock fee was paid during the time of booking.  We reserve the right to modify site assignments based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, occupancy levels, mechanical issues, weather and maintenance needs.  Your specific site information will be available to you upon your arrival.

 

CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT

Our Check-in time is 1:00pm or later.

Our Check out time is by 12:00pm.

* * * We do not accept after dark arrivals!

Please plan on arriving  before dusk. Areas of our campground are dark and may be difficult to get into at night - thus causing unwanted noise. 
 

The guest who paid for the site the night before you has paid for their site until noon. We do not have a waiting area for early check-in so please make arrangements until your site opens at 1 o’clock. You do not need to stop at the office to check out.

 

TENT SITES   Tent sites can only be reserved by calling the office  330-534-2352.

1.  One tent per site.

2.  Tents are not permitted on RV sites.

 

OCCUPANCY   

1.   Sites have a maximum occupancy permitted.  

2.   RV and tent sites have a maximum occupancy of 6 persons.  

3.    Unregistered guests are not permitted to stay over night.

 

REGISTERED GUESTS   The registered guest responsible for the site must be at least 24 years of age to reserve a campsite. The person making the reservation must have a valid government issued photo identification.  

 

VISITOR POLICY  All persons not registered to site are considered visitors.

NO ONE is permitted in the campground without registering at the office upon arrival.  Therefore, all visitors must stop at the office during business hours.

1.   We ask that all visitors arrive before 7:00pm.

                           The office closes at 7:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

                            The office closes at 5:00pm on Monday thru Thursday.

                            The office closes at 4:00pm on Sundays.

 

2.   Visitors are welcome at guest sites between the hours or 10:00am and 10:00pm

3.  The maximum number of persons on a campsite is 8.  (This includes BOTH registered campers and visitors)

4.  The day fee is $5.00 and visitors must depart by 10:00pm.

5.   The overnight fee is $7.00 and visitors must depart by 12:00pm. (noon)

6.   VISITORS CAN NOT BRING THEIR PETS.

 

SPEED LIMIT

   The speed limit is 5 MPH at all times. 

      This includes:

  •    golf carts

  •    driving in and out of the campground

  •    heading back to the dump station.

  1. You must stop at all stop signs. 

  2. Motorcycles must be at idle speed when traveling through the campground.

  3. These policies are to keep you, your children, and your pet safe. Exceeding the speed limit will result in a warning. We will only give one. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.

 

PARKING

  1. Motor Homes, RVs or Travel Trailers must be in good working order

  2. Additional fees may apply to trailers, boats, and additional vehicles.

  3. Only 1 RV and maximum of 2 vehicles are allowed per site.

  4. No parking on other campsites or along roads.

  5. Other vehicles must be parked in designated overflow parking.

 

PET POLICIES

  1. There is a limit of 2 pets per site. 

  2. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone whose pet is NOT considered suitable to the serenity/safety of our guests. We do not allow Rottweilers, Pitbulls, Chows, Doberman Pinchers or any aggressive breed.

  3. When walking your pet we asked that the leash  be no longer than 6 feet and please do not use a retractable one. 

  4. Pets are to be on a leash at your campsite at all times. 

  5. They are not to roam freely.

  6. No exotic or oversized pets are permitted.  (Including reptiles and large birds)

  7. Pets may not be left outside unattended.

  8. Excessive barking is not permitted.  If your pet is remaining inside your camper, please make sure they will not be upset by outside noise if you must leave for a short period of time. (Use the air conditioner to drown outside noise and close your blinds). This helps keep your pet from barking excessively and disturbing other campers.

  9. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

  10. Due to insurance requirements, all pets must be vaccinated so please make sure their shots are up-to-date

  11. Pets are prohibited at the beach, lake, playground, pond or in any pavilion or enclosed building 

  12. Service animals may accompany a disabled person but proof of certification for the animal must be provided.

  13. Please do not bathe your pet here.

  14. Please do not walk your pets around our home, we have pets too!

  15. Visitors CAN NOT bring their pets.

 

QUIET HOURS

  1. Quiet hours are from 11:00pm to 8:00am.

  2. Children should be at their own campsite by 10:00pm

  3. Please be courteous of guests around you.

  4. Outside LED lights must be turned off by 11:00pm.

  5. Loud music or objectionable noise is not allowed at any time.

  6. Inconsiderate guests will be evicted from the campground.

  7. Profanity or violence towards other guests or management will result in immediate eviction from the property.

  8. Guests violating rules that result in eviction will not receive any refunds for their stay.

 

CAMPFIRES/GRILLS

  1. Campfires are permitted in fire rings only.

  2. Grills cannot be placed on wooden picnic tables.

  3. Firewood is available.  We do require that it be requested before 6:00 PM.

  4. All trash is to be disposed of in enclosed blue trash dumpster near the bathhouse.

  5. The fire ring is not a trash container.

  6. Do not cut or break trees or foliage for firewood.

 

TRASH

  • Only Kitchen garbage is allowed in the dumpster. 

  • Do not clean out your camper and put items in the dumpster. 

  • Fire rings are not trash containers. Do not burn your trash.

  • Please tie off your bags.

 

BEACH/LAKE

  1. BEACH hours are 12:00pm - 6:00pm. 

  2. There is NO LIFEGUARD on duty. Swim at your own risk.

  3. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult (21 yrs or older) at the beach. 

  4. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the beach or playground.

  5. No glass containers allowed at beach, playground  or lake areas.

  6. Proper swim attire must be worn.

  7. Please clean up all trash, cans and paper before leaving.

  8. FISHING: is catch and release only.

*** THE PLAYGROUND  closes at 9:00pm or dusk, whichever comes first.

 

BICYCLES

  • No bike riding after dark.

  • Parents assume all responsibility for the safety of their children.

  • Chestnut Ridge assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries or loss from any cause.

  • It is recommended that children under the age of 12 wear a helmet.

 

GOLF CARTS

  • No driving of golf carts after 11:00pm.

  • Proof of insurance is required.

  • Only those with a valid license can drive a golf cart.

  • Lights are required after dark.

  • Do not drive on grass.

 

BATH HOUSE/ RESTROOMS

Restrooms and Shower facilities are available on site.  Due to Board of Health Regulatios, animals are prohibited in the restrooms.  The washing of equipment, pets, clothing, cooking intensive, tableware, flatware, or any other cooking or eating  paraphernalia is prohibited in bathhouses and washrooms. Please help us keep the restrooms and bathhouses clean and ready to use by others by picking up after yourself.  Young children are not allowed in restrooms without supervision.

 

The following is prohibited in the Campground:

  1. Kiddie pools or other water features are PROHIBITED.

  2. Washing your car or RV is PROHIBITED.

  3. The use of firearms of any kind is PROHIBITED. This includes all guns including air surf, BB, and pellet guns. 

  4. Use of illegal drugs is PROHIBITED.

  5. Fireworks of any kind are PROHIBITED. This includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials and firecrackers.

  6. Obnoxious behavior of any kind is PROHIBITED.

  7. Drones or other remote controlled machines may not be used at any time on the property.

  8. Skateboards, Quads, ATVs and other motorized items are not Permitted .  ONLY GOLF CARTS ARE ALLOWED.

  9. Metal Detectors are PROHIBITED.

  10. The use of Generators is PROHIBITED. 

 

PHOTOGRAPHY  Chestnut Ridge  Campground uses video surveillance for the  security and protection of our guests.  We also use on-site candid photography for advertisements and promotions.  Entrance into this property constitutes permission to be photographed while on the premises and for any resulting photos to e usd by Chestnut Ridge Campground for lawful purposes without compensation or notification to the guest.

 

SMOKING  Absolutely No Smoking, Vaping, Tobacco Use, Etc., in any buildings or structures on Chestnut Ridge Property.  DO NOT throw your butts on the ground or in fire rings!

 

OTHER

  • Rugs:   Rugs larger than 3 X 5 are not allowed as it kills the grass and we want your site to look good for both you and the next guest.

  • No EV charging permitted at RV pedestals. 

  • We reserve the right to evict any person(s) who does not comply with the rules and policies.

  • Chestnut Ridge Campground  does not allow the delivery of mail or packages to any guests.  

 

SECURITY

  1. Report any problems with your site to the office immediately.

  2. Campers and guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their children or pets.

  3. The campground is not responsible for personal injuries or damage, loss or theft of any personal property. 

 

WAIVE AND INDEMNITY OF LIABILITY  Customer shall indemnify and hold Chestnut Ridge Campground and it's owners and employees harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from any and all damages or injuries casused by fire, water, wind, civil strife, or acts of God, owner and / or customer actions or inactions (or those of their employees,  agents, or invitees), or any other related to Customer's use or  occupation of the campsite or rental unit, regardless of whether such loss was caused by the negligence of any of the customers parties.
