Terms of Service

Your site number is subject to change prior to arrival without notice, only the site type is guaranteed unless a lock site fee is paid. 

Payment: Full payment will be processed at time of booking. 

Minimum Check In Age: The minimum age for a guest to check-in is 18.

Cancellations: Permitted up to 30 days before your arrival. For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to your arrival, your payment, minus a $25 cancellation fee, will be returned to your credit card. No refunds will be issued for cancellations less than 30 days before check in.  

USE AT OWN RISK; INDEMNIFICATION: By making your booking, guests hereby waive, release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Summerhill Resorts Ltd. and any of its affiliates, contractors, present/former and future supervisors, staff, officers, employees, representatives, agents  for any and all liability, claims, lawsuits, actions, suits or demands, whether known or unknown, in law or equity, by an individual of any age, or any corporation or other entity, for any and all loss, personal injury, accidents, real or personal property damage, theft, expenses (including legal fees, costs and other expenses for investigation and defense in connection with, among other proceedings, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appellate proceedings) or any other claim arising out of or in connection with the guests’ use of the rental property or any harm of any kind or nature arising out of, or in connection with, the participation in the use of any on site amenities or activities (meaning use of the amenities or engagement in any contest, game, function, exercise, competition, sport, events or other activity operated, organized, arranged or sponsored by Summerhill Resorts Ltd., its contractors or third parties authorized by Summerhill), by said patron, guest or other person, and any of his or her guests and any members of his or her family.

Damage Deposit: Those booking a Cabin will have a damage deposit of $250 pre-authorized to a credit card at check-in. The pre-authorization hold will be released at check-out, however, please be advised that it can take up to 10 business days for the funds to be cleared by the credit card financial institution. In the unlikely event that guests willfully or negligently damage the property, the deposit will be withheld in full and applied to all repair and replacements costs. Should the costs exceed the deposit, the full cost will be applied to the pre-authorized credit card. 

PARK PROTOCOLS

Welcome to Dinosaur Trail RV Resort and Cabins. We are a privately owned campground and for everyone's benefit there are expectations while in the campground. It is your responsibility to be aware of these expectations as failure to abide by them may result in being required to leave the campground without a refund.

 

To Keep Damage of The Park to a minimum:

*All vehicles must remain on designated roadways and parking pads.

*Obey ALL traffic signs, including 10 km/hr. Maximum speed.

*Driving intoxicated and/or with open liquor in any vehicle will be dealt with by law enforcement. No tolerance!

*No parking on grassed areas!

*RV’s must be parked properly, one unit or tent per rented site, tow vehicles in line with the RV (not cross parked). All other vehicles will be required to park in visitor parking. If your overall length is too long for this configuration, you will be required to park in visitor parking. Proper directional parking (back in) applies. Only pull through sites do not require back in but proper direction is required.

*There is a zero tolerance policy for any damage to trees and/or any other camp property.

*Outdoor Mats/Carpets should be on gravel areas as opposed to grass so that grass is not damaged.

*NO OUTSIDE FIREWOOD IS PERMITTED. Disease and pests have killed many trees in the park. During local fire bans, NO fires are permitted. Scrap construction wood burning will result in an additional charge of $25 for clean up.

*All fires, propane fire pits, bbqs or picnic tables are to be in designated areas only. Firepits and tables on your site are to be left where placed.

*Firewood can be purchased at the store/office.

*Wifi is available to purchase at the store.

*Shower tokens can be purchased at the store.

MAXIMUM 6 PEOPLE PER SITE.  A $10 FEE PER PERSON MAY BE APPLIED IF EXCEEDING MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE.

 

To Keep happy campers as your neighbors:

*Keep your fire under control and moderate it to be considerate of neighbors. No fire is to be left unattended at any time.

*Your sewer line must have the proper fitting to prevent leaks and odors.

*Alcoholic beverages and cannabis may be consumed on your site only .

*Cigarette smoking is not allowed in any campground buildings or within 10 meters of building entrances.

*You are responsible to supervise your children. Do not allow them to enter other sites without permission from the campers in that site.

 

Pool Rules - monitored by Alberta Health Services

*Sunscreen shall be applied 30 minutes before entering the pool. Those who apply sunscreen in the pool area will be asked to leave and return in 30 minutes. It damages our filtration and causes us to close our pool.

*An adult MUST accompany all children under 14. No exceptions.

*There is no lifeguard on duty. Use the pool at your own risk.

*Children in diapers must wear health department approved swim diapers (available at the store).

*Registered guests in the pool only. No visitors to the park are allowed to use the pool. A visitor is an unregistered person in the park.

*Absolutely no food, beverages, alcohol, or glass containers allowed in the pool area. Water must be in clear plastic bottles. This is an Alberta Health requirement.

 

Pets Are Welcome Here as long as:

*The off leash dog park is for supervised pets only. Unattended pets are not allowed in this area.

*Pets in the park are to be on leash AT ALL TIMES other than inside your own RV. No high wire dog run lines are allowed.

*Leashes or tethers must be no longer than 2 meters (6 feet) in length so that no pets are able to go into another camper's site.

*Pets, whether on a camp site or being walked in the park must be fully under the control of the person holding the leash or on the site with the pet.

*No pets are allowed inside playground areas at any time. 

*All pet droppings are properly collected and disposed of, both in the campground and the off leash area. A $50 charge will be applied for any pet cleanup.

*Be aware that noisy, aggressive or unruly pets will not be tolerated. Keep your pet under control at all times for everyone's safety and enjoyment.

*Pets left unattended in a site, inside a vehicle or RV, or left to run off leash will be reported to bylaw services for removal and care.

 

Restrictions:

  • No clothes lines, hammocks, kids play systems or ropes tied to trees.

  • No balloons allowed, whatsoever.

  • No running of generators unless specifically allowed during a power outage

  • No fireworks, unlicensed vehicles, ATV’s, repairing of vehicles, washing of any vehicles, repairs or oil changes to vehicles, kiddie/blow up pools, sprinklers, washing clothes in restrooms, or illegal activities are allowed.

  • Check in time is after 1 pm for RV & tent sites. And 3pm for cabins.

  • Check out time is no later than 11 am for RV & tent sites and 10am for cabins. An automatic charge of $20/hr. will be applied to your credit card for late checkouts. A late checkout may be arranged with 24 hrs notice provided the site is available, however,  late checkout fees will apply.

  • QUIET IS 10 PM. WHISPER IS 11 PM. Infractions may result in expulsion from the campground without refund. Loud parties, music or any other activity that disturbs neighboring campers after 11 pm will not be tolerated at any time. Visitors must leave the park at 10 pm.

  • ABSOLUTELY NO VERBAL ABUSE TOWARDS STAFF WILL BE TOLERATED. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO LEAVE WITHOUT REFUND. IMMEDIATELY! THIS IS A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY.

 

Management reserves the right to refuse service at any time due to non adherence to these protocols.Some infractions may result in immediate expulsion without refund. Management will not be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, loss or damages due to fire, theft, accident or Act of God.
