DOVR provides special rates for veterans. Use of any promo code pricing or discounts for Veterans or Military must provide proof if claiming a discounted rate. Please email proof to dovrteam@gmail.com

 

General Rules and Regulations

  1. All vehicles are to stop at the caretaker’s trailer or office to check in with staff for their camping permit before proceeding to their campsite.

  2. Camping permits must be displayed on campsite post.

  3. Drivers must obey the posted speed limits, signs and be aware of pedestrians,

    especially children at all times.

  4. Campsites must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Deposit all garbage in proper

    receptacles located within the campground. If the site is left unkempt, a $50.00 fee will

    be applied to your credit card.

  5. The Conservation Authority encourages recycling. Please utilize the proper recycling bins on site.

  6. Every person using the campground or other facility at DOVR shall maintain it in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.

  7. Dock and Dam areas are unsupervised. Use at your own risk. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child’s safety.

  8. Rowdy behavior and excessive noise will not be tolerated.

  9. Fireworks are prohibited by regulation, except for specific designated holidays and only if approved and under the direction of the DOVR staff.

10.The DOVR assumes no responsibility whatsoever for personal injury or loss/damage to vehicles or personal property of any kind.

Campsites/RV/Tent

  1. Check-in time is after 10:00 a.m. and Check-out time is before 12:00 p.m.

  2. Campsite permit holders must be at least 18 years of age.

  3. The permit holder is responsible for the conduct and behavior of their family and guests.

  4. Maximum stay of 14 days no long term stays

  5. A maximum of 6 persons are permitted per campsite, unless it is a single family of parents and their children living at the same address.

  6. Where space permits, a maximum of 3 pieces of shelter equipment is allowed per campsite. Only one of which may be a travel trailer, tent trailer, camper van, motor home or self-propelled camping unit.

  7. Quiet time is from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. All electronic devices are to be turned off during quiet hours so as not to disturb other campers.

  8. Campfires are only allowed in the fire pits provided at each campsite and only to a maximum of 2 feet in height.

9. Please be considerate of fellow campers and arrive early (prior to 10:00 p.m.) to set up your campsite. The noise created from setting up is often disturbing to other campers. If this is not possible, please keep noise to a minimum.

Cabin/Duplex rental

 Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. and Check-out time is before 11:00 a.m.

  1. Cabin/Duplex renter must be at least 18 years of age.

  2. Cabin/Duplex renter is responsible for the conduct and behavior of their family and guests.

  3. A maximum of 8 persons are permitted per unit.

  4. Quiet time is from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

  5. Campfires are only allowed in the fire pits provided at each campsite and only to a

    maximum of 2 feet in height.

  6. Please be considerate of fellow renters.

Additional Vehicles or Trailers

1. The fee for up to two vehicles is included in your campsite fee, all trailers/UTV will be asked to park in the “additional vehicle” parking area. The number of additional vehicles permitted per campsite may be limited by the staff.

Campsite Visitors

  1. No visitors are allowed to enter the campground or park after 9:00 p.m.

  2. Day visitors must leave the campground by 11:00 p.m.

Alcoholic Beverages

  1. Alcohol may only be consumed on a registered campsite.

  2. Alcohol is not permitted in day-use or public areas including picnic shelters.

Firewood

1. Please help us protect our forests and do not bring firewood from home. Moving firewood, even just a few miles away, can spread invasive and destructive insect species such as the Emerald Ash Borer and Asian long-horned beetle to our forests. Firewood is available onsite for a good will donation. Any remaining firewood shall not leave DOVR area.

Reservations

1. When making a reservation, you will be asked for the following information:

  • Your name, address, zip code and telephone number

  • Email address

  • Arrival/departure dates

  • Size and type of camping equipment

  • Type of site required (hydro/water, camping equipment, etc.)

  • Number of people in your party

  • Method of payment (credit card number, expiration date, CVC number) Service fee of

    3.5% will be added. Veterans for RV/Camping Sites are goodwill donation with valid ID

2. Multiple reservations in the same name for the same time period are not allowed!

Reservations must be made in the name of the person who is arriving to pick up the camping permit. Reservations cannot be assigned from one person to another at the time of arrival. If a name change is required, please make changes by contacting Dairyland Outdoor Veterans Retreat at 651-295-2632. Only the person named on the permit shall make those changes. The site shall not be occupied until the changes are made.

4. Full payment of camping and reservation fees are payable at the time your reservation is confirmed. Payment made by Visa or MasterCard, cash and debit cards are accepted in person and will incur a 3.5% service fee

5. A 2 night minimum payment is required on holiday long weekends.
6. Reservations can be made up until 6:00p.m. the day of arrival.
7. Off-season rates apply from the second last Friday in September, to the Wednesday

before Memorial Day. Campgrounds will have limited services during the off-season periods.

8. A “no-show” is a reservation that has not been claimed by 2:00p.m.the day following the arrival date. A “no-show” will result in the reservation being cancelled with no refund and the campsite will become available to a new camper.

Cancellations or Changes to a Reservation

1. For Civilians there is a minimum charge of $10.00 when you change a reservation less than 24hrs.

2. For both cabins & campground sites FULL refund will be given if cancelation is made 14 or more day in advance.

3. For both cabins & campground sites a 50% refund will be given if cancelation is made 4 to 13 days in advance. 

4. For both cabins & campground sites a 25% refund will be give if cancelation is made 3 to 1 day in advance.  

5. For both cabins & campground sites NO refund is given if less than 24hrs of reservation.

6. Reservation/Change/Cancellation Fees are Non-Refundable.

7. When cancelling prior to departure time, NO CASH refunds are provided under any circumstances at the campground. No refunds will be issued, only a Camping Voucher for unused nights may be granted by submitting a request to the Administration Office in Danbury, WI. Request must be submitted within 20 days from departure. A request may take up to 30 days to process.

8. Campers evicted from the campground for any circumstance are not eligible for reimbursement.

9. Camping is an outdoor experience.Therefore,no reimbursement will be approved for discomforts of nature including rain, snow, temperature change and insects.

Pets 

1. Pets must be on a leash not exceeding 6 feet and must be under control at all times.

  1. Pets are not to make excessive noise or disturb other persons.

  2. Poop and scoop applies at all times.

  3. If your Pet is not on your reservation and not paid, DOVR has the right to charge your credit card on file for the Pet Fee. 

  4. If DOVR finds damage or excess cleaning is needed due to your Pet, DOVR will charge your credit card on file appropriately for damages.  

  5. By accepting this Terms & Conditions contract, you agree that you will not hold DOVR liable if a pet of yours or another camper should injure a human or another pet. The Dairyland Outdoor Veterans Retreat is not liable for the damages, liability, legal fees, or medical expense to either party. All pet liabilities are at the pet owner’s liability and expense. If you have a pet on premises, you agree that your pet is properly vaccinated according to the laws and regulations of State of Wisconsin.

Picnic Shelters/Activity Center

  1. Picnic Shelter may be reserved through the administrative office throughout the year or at the park during the operating season.

  2. Shelters may be reserved from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  3. Garbage receptacles are provided and renters shall leave the facility in a clean and sanitary condition at the end of the day.

  4. If the Facility is left unkempt, a $50.00 fee will be applied to your credit card.

5. Pets are allowed at the Picnic Shelters, but must be under control at all times and must be on a leash not exceeding 6 feet.
