Terms of Service

Payment is required to be made in full 7 days before arrival for campsites and 14 days before arrival for cabins.

Camp Site: Check In Time – 2:00pm     Check Out Time – 1:00pm

Cabin Rental: Check In – 4:00pm      Check Out – 11:00am

CANCELLATION POLICY :

Campsite cancellations with over 7 days’ notice receive a full refund minus a $20 fee. 7 days or less notice will receive no refund of their full reservation amount. Campsite reservation transfers with more than 7 days’ notification have no fees.

Cabin cancellations with over 14 days’ notice receive a full refund minus a $20 fee. 14 days or less notice will receive no refund of full reservation amount. Cabin reservation transfers with over 14 days’ notice have no fees. 

Cancellations may now be made online.                             

No shows will be charged for their full reservation.

inclement weather, illness, conflicting work schedule, or early checkouts.

 

COURTESIES FOR BETTER CAMPING

  • Camping rates are based on 2 adults, 2 children, (3 and under are free), 2 Pets, and 1 Camping Unit.
  • A maximum occupancy of 8 people allowed per site, including visitors.
  • Must be 21 or older to rent a campsite, cabin, or golf cart.
  • All vehicles must display a car pass.
  • Speed Limit is 10 MPH throughout the park. Only licensed, insured drivers may operate vehicles.
  • Parents are responsible for the safety and conduct of their children. Children 12 years & under should be accompanied by an adult. This includes the activity areas, game room, pools, playgrounds, office & store.
  • No walking through occupied sites.
  • Do not tie anything to, mark, or cut the trees. 
  • Everyone must wear shirts at all times outside of the pool areas.

 

VISITORS

  1. For everyone's safety, all visitors must register at the office, pay applicable visitor’s fee, and display a car pass in their vehicle. Visitor parking areas are displayed on the campground map.
  2. A maximum occupancy of 8 people allowed per site, including visitors.
  3. Visitor's fee permits use of campground facilities while visiting, including swimming pools.
  4. Day visiting hours are until 10pm.
  5. Unregistered guests are not allowed.
  6. Guests are the responsibility of the registered camper and must follow all campground guidelines.

 

QUIET TIME

  1. Quiet time is 11:00pm to 8:00am. Please no outdoor music, loud talking, or other disrupting noise during these hours.
  2. All minors are to be on their site by 11:00pm or accompanied by an adult.
  3. Report any disturbances to the office to 814-623-1677. After office hours, press 9 when prompted.
  4. Please be considerate of your neighboring campers at all times.

 

ALCOHOL

  1. Controlled use of alcoholic beverages is permitted but restricted to your campsite only!
  2. Any excessive drinking or drunkenness will not be tolerated.
  3. PA legal drinking age is 21.
  4. Alcohol must be enjoyed responsibly!
  5. Alcohol must be in covered containers & not out in open display.

 

PETS

  1. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times! Leashes should be no longer than 6 feet long,
  2. You must clean up after your pets EVERYWHERE in the park. There will be an immediate fine of $50 per incident to any guest who does not abide by this rule.
  3. Maintenance will not pick up pet waste bags on site. Please place in full-size garbage bag or in the dumpster.
  4. No pets allowed in Friendship Village facilities, bath houses, or in unapproved cabin rentals.
  5. Pets are not to be left outside at a site unattended or allowed to disturb other camping guests.
  6. Pets are not to be tied to trees. 
  7. Pet owners & handlers must be able to control pet at all times.
  8. No more than 3 dogs allowed on a site at one time.
  9. Temporary dog fence is permitted but must be black in color and there is a maximum height of 36 inches.

 

PARKING & VEHICLES

  1. If space allows, 2 vehicles are allowed per site, with the exception of camp sites 38-49, which are allowed 1 vehicle on-site.
  2. Additional parking is available in the visitor parking areas shown on the campground map.
  3. Parking on empty campsites or in the site grass is not permitted.
  4. No washing of vehicles or RV's without office permission. If permission is given, there is an associated fee.
  5. No working on vehicles or RV’s.

 

TENT SITES

  1. The tent fee includes 4 people, 2 pets. Additional guests are $5 per person per day/night with a maximum of 8 people per site, including visitors.
  2. Only 1 tent and 1 EZ-Up/screen tent allowed per site. Any additional tents need management approval.
  3. No dumping gray water or dishwater on the ground.  Please use the dump station located near the office.
  4. We do not permit the use of blue tarps.  Please use green, brown, or gray ones instead.

 

TRASH

  1. Trash Pick-Up:
    1. Trash pick-up is available between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.
    2. Trash will be picked up once a day only.
    3. All trash must be bagged & tied closed and set at the end of your site by 9am.
    4. Any trash after the morning pickup needs to be placed in the dumpsters.
  2. Trash dumpsters are shown on the map.
  3. Do not leave trash out overnight or on your site when departing.
  4. Do not leave trash in the fire rings.

 

FIREWOOD/TREES

  1. Locally cut firewood is available to purchase at the Office and Camp Store.
  2. Due to the spread of invasive insects, PA Department of Agriculture recommends that firewood be bought locally. PA state law does not allow out-of-state firewood.
  3. Burn all firewood brought in from outside of the campground. Do not leave unused firewood.
  4. The breaking/cutting of branches, or injuring is prohibited.
  5. Tying or hanging anything to our trees is not permitted, including pets, hammocks, clotheslines, or tents that suspend from trees.

 

CAMPFIRES

  1. Do not move fire rings. A $25.00 fee will be charged if fire ring is moved.
  2. Campfires cannot be left unattended and must be extinguished before leaving your site or turning in at night.
  3. Campfires must be contained in the fire rings.
  4. No chopping or splitting wood on fire rings.
  5. Do not discard garbage, cigarette butts, cans, etc., in fire rings.

 

PERSONAL GOLF CARTS

  1. Owners must provide proof of insurance when entering park, specifically showing coverage of golf cart and expiration date.
  2. A registration fee applies, see our Registration Rates in the Activity Guide.
  3. All drivers must have a current registered driver’s license.
  4. Alcohol is restricted to only being allowed at your campsite, drunk driving will not be tolerated.
  5. All riders must be seated on regular seats - No standing or hanging on carts.
  6. Carts are allowed to only travel on campground roadways and the Upper Lake track. They must obey all roadway & directional signs. No carts are allowed on gravel pathways. Exception: Staff Use Only
  7. Off road vehicles such as RTV's, ATV's, mini-bikes, battery-operated Power Wheels, and similar vehicles are not allowed.

BIKES, SCOOTERS, ATV'S

  1. NO bike riding allowed after sunset. For safety and visibility reasons, ALL bikes must be parked during night time hours beginning at dusk.
  2. PA state law requires children under 12 to wear helmets.
  3. Off road vehicles such as RTV's, ATV's, mini-bikes, battery-operated Power Wheels and similar vehicles are not allowed. 
  4. Bicycle sized electric and battery-operated scooters are permitted in the campground.  Management reserves the right to discontinue the use of scooters at their discretion.  Operators must follow the 10 mph speed limit
  5. Flags are required on all low-riding vehicles.
  6. No riding on sidewalks or porches or other paved areas.

 

RECREATION

  1. Playground equipment, jumping pillow, gaga ball, and the river are free for campers to enjoy at your own risk.
  2. Swimming pools of any size are not permitted on your site.

 

FISHING, LAKES/PONDS

  1. Pond/Lake fishing is catch & release only and a license is not required.
  2. All hooks must have barbs removed. No treble or 3 prong hooks allowed.
  3. All fish must be quickly released back into the water. Do not carry fish back to camp site.
  4. Use needle-nose pliers or other hook removers to quickly remove hooks. If the hook is swallowed, cut the line as close to the hook as possible and release the fish.
  5. Please see PA Fishing Regulations for river fishing.
  6. No unauthorized boats, swimming, or pets allowed in our lakes/ponds. Personal boats, canoes, floats may be used in the river at your own risk.
  7. Nightcrawlers are sold at the Camp Store and the Office.

 

POOL RULES

  1. Pools are open Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day.
  2. Swim at your own risk.
  3. Floatation devices should be applied before entering pool area for weak or inexperienced swimmers.
  4. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  5. No pets, food, running, pushing, rough play or foul language allowed inside pool area.
  6. Infants and children still in diapers must wear swim diapers.
  7. Shirts and cover-ups required when outside the pool area or off your camp site.
  8. Must register name & site # upon entering pool area.

 

OTHER POLICIES

  1. Sewer collars required on all sewer hoses. Sold in our office and camp store.
  2. Shirts or cover-ups are required when off your site or outside of pool area.
  3. No dumping gray water or dishwater on the ground, please use the dump station located near the office.
  4. No rowdiness of any kind.
  5. Please do not walk-through other sites or between sites.
  6. One EZ-Up canopy is permitted per site and must be anchored to the ground.  The canopy must be taken down when you leave your site. For canopies bigger than a 10x10, see management for approval. Portable car ports are not permitted on site.
  7. For safety & privacy purposes, the flying of drones in our park is not allowed.
  8. Blue tarps are not permitted in the campground or storage, please use green, brown, and gray.
  9. Do not tamper with any of the facilities. If there is a problem, please notify management.
  10. No generators!
  11. Fireworks, firearms, bb guns, or other weapons are not permitted. Hand-held sparklers are allowed at your own risk.
  12. Yard sales of any kind are not permitted, except during the official Friendship Village yard sale dates.
  13. Please leave your campsite in a desirable state.
  14. Storage is available for car/utility trailers. Utility trailers may be allowed on site for a weekend as long as room allows with approval from management.
  15. We reserve the right to change or move a site if necessary.
  16. Photos, video and other media taken during your stay may be used for promotional purposes.
  17. Friendship Village Campground is a privately owned campground. The owners and staff are not liable for any injuries that may occur on campground property, for any acts of theft, damage caused by natural elements, or vandalism.
  18. Any breach of the policies by the camper or their guests shall constitute as grounds for immediate dismissal without refunds We also reserve the right to remove people or animals which are considered detrimental to the health, safety, and welfare of our staff, other guests or campground facilities from the property with no refund of fees.
  19. No subletting or Air BNB is permitted.  

 

MONTHLY CAMPING GUIDELINES:

  1. The monthly reservation covers 2 adults and 2 children. 
  2. The monthly reservation covers 2 pets.  Additional pets are not permitted.  This includes visiting pets.
  3. The monthly reservation covers one family.  Two or more families are not permitted to rent the same monthly site.
  4. Subletting or Air BNB of your monthly site is not permitted.
  5. The monthly reservation is in no way to be construed as a lease or as creating a tenant/landlord relationship. 
  6.  Two vehicles are permitted to park at each site.  Parking in the grass is not permitted. 
  7.  Monthly campers are not permitted to use overflow parking as their main parking spot.  Monthly camper must park at least one vehicle on site.
  8.  All monthly campers must have a car pass on their rear view mirror while on Friendship Village property.
  9. All visitors must be registered at the campground office.  A visitor fee may apply.  The number of people on your camp site, including registered monthly family, may not exceed 8.  All visitors must have a mirror tag on their vehicle while on campground property. Day visitors must leave by 10:00 p.m.
  10. Electric is metered and based on individual usage.  Electric invoices are sent via email and need to be paid when invoice is received.  We require keeping a credit or debit card on file and authorizing the office to automatically charge the card each month.
  11. Pets are not to be tied up on site or left unattended.
  12. Pets must be walked on a leash.  Leashes should be no longer than 6 feet. 
  13. Pets must be cleaned up after everywhere in the park including the dog park.  There will be an immediate fine of $50 per incident to any guest who does not abide by this rule.
  14. Flashlights must be used when walking pets after dark.  Please have pets inside by quiet time which is 10pm. 
  15. Pet fences and enclosures are permitted but must be black in color.  Management approval required before set-up.
  16. Monthly living space is the area on the door side of your RV, all utility areas behind/beside your site is an extension of the campground.
  17. Sites should be kept neat and attractive. Bicycles and other items must be stored in the rear of the site behind RV.
  18. Keep area under RV reasonably free from clutter.
  19. Yard sales of any kind are not permitted except during the official Friendship Village Yard Sale dates.  These dates can be found in our activity brochure. 
  20. One surprise site inspection will be conducted each season to ensure that site is to the standards laid out in these guidelines.  A two week follow-up will be conducted if needed.
  21. Structures, patios, sheds, shelters, tents, outside kitchens, and other fixtures are not permitted. 
  22. One EZ-Up canopy is permitted per site and must be anchored to the ground.  The canopy must be taken down when you leave your site. For canopies bigger than a 10x10, see management for approval.
  23. Portable car ports are not permitted.
  24. Due to recent flooding, wooden decks are no longer permitted. 
  25. No digging holes or planting on site.  Plants in containers and other special tasteful decorations may be added if approved by management and must be removed at the end of the camping season.  Absolutely no silk, plastic or other artificial flowers or plants.  Placement of decorations or plants cannot interfere with mowing.  If sites are decorated with plants in containers, or other items approved by management, the site occupant may be asked to mow the site.
  26. Upholstered furniture is not permitted outside of your camper on site.
  27. Fire Rings are not to be moved.  Monthly campers are responsible for cleaning their own fire rings.
  28. On-site trash pick-up is available once a day starting Memorial Day weekend and ending Labor Day weekend. Please have trash set out by 9:00 AM. Trash will be picked up once a day only.  Do not place trash out after pick-up is done for the day.  Do not leave trash out overnight.
  29. All sewer hoses must be protected with a solid piece of 4” sewer PVC pipe to prevent string trimmer damage. Management will not be responsible for unprotected utility lines and hoses.
  30. Dismantling or working on vehicles and RV’s is not permitted.
  31. Avoid large stockpiles of wood, which could attract undesirable insects and rodents.
  32. Wood should not be left on the site after the camping season.  Due to the spread of invasive insects, the PA Department of Agriculture requires that firewood be bought locally.
  33. Be courteous to neighbors – a maximum of 8 people are allowed per site. Large parties and gatherings on sites are not permitted. Please plan to rent the small pavilion for your special event. Contact the office for availability.
  34. There is a fee of $20 for RV washing. Nozzles on hoses must be used. No open hose washing.  Washing of RV’s is prohibited during Bedford County water restrictions. 
  35. One golf cart is permitted per site unless it is used for employment at the village. Every golf cart must be registered at the office. There is a registration fee and the office must have a copy of current insurance specifically indicating that coverage is provided for the golf cart. Updated copies must be supplied when coverage is renewed.  Please see office for current golf cart registration fees.
  36. Off-road vehicles are not permitted (RTV’s, ATV’s, mini-bikes, etc.).
    1. All drivers must possess current driver’s license.
    2. Carts must be driven in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner at all times.
    3. All riders must be seated in regular seats – no standing or hanging on carts.
    4. Carts must travel roadways and obey all posted motor signs. No carts are permitted on gravel pathways. Exception: Staff use only, as necessary.
    5. All carts must be in good running condition, the brakes and lights must work.
    6. Carts must be equipped with lights for night driving. You are encouraged to display reflective tape or some other similar type of material on the rear of your cart, making it more visible from behind after dark.
    7. Parking is restricted to cart & car parking areas only.
    8. Carts are only to be used for travel to and from our amenities as needed. They may not be used for pleasure riding throughout the campground, due to high vehicle traffic and pedestrians.
    9. Pleasure riding is permitted only on the track surrounding the large lake. Please use caution when riding, being mindful of the safety of our bicycle riders, joggers, and walkers.
    10. Friendship Village is not responsible for golf carts remaining on site when the campsite is not occupied.
  37. Summer emergencies have caused us to move RV’s during the camping period. We will only move campers that have been prepared    for removal by the occupant. Requests for removal should be made and approved by the occupant. (We cannot call everyone and get all campers prepared for removal). This task can prove to be dangerous to our staff during emergency periods.
  38. Small storage units are permitted on site.  Management approve required before set-up.
  39. We allow only green, brown, or gray covers to be used (blue or brightly colored tarps are not permitted). It should be tied to prevent blowing.
  40. Alcoholic beverages are acceptable at Friendship Village but must be confined to your camp site.  Alcohol is not permitted off site.  Kegs of beer are not permitted at any time. Intoxication is prohibited.
  41. Friendship Village Management assumes no responsibility for the safety of monthly campers and their guests and reserves the right to terminate the camping privileges and remove anyone from the campground for infraction of the rules with no refunds.
  42. Please be courteous to your fellow campers and neighbors and treat all other people here as you would like to be treated. Behavior that is deemed by Friendship Village to be discourteous, rude, offensive, or vulgar will not be permitted and may lead to immediate removal from the campground without a refund. 
  43. Symbols, relics, statues, signs, and political items might seem harmless to one but can be extremely offensive to another.  These items may not be displayed while at Friendship Village.  We all thankfully have constitutionally protected freedom of speech and can express those freedoms in public spaces and our private property, but those protections do not extend to our private property at Friendship Village.  Some expressions can erode our efforts to create a welcoming atmosphere for all who stay here.  We do promote and encourage that you fly the American Flag.
  44. Please remember that everyone leaving the swimming pool area must wear a shirt or coverup. Swimming is for you to enjoy at your own risk.   Our pool attendants are not certified lifeguards.
  45. Campsites must be kept clean, neat, and free of clutter.  Please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground, dog “refuse” behind, or trash in the fire ring.  A cleanup fee will be charged if your campsite is left in unsatisfactory condition.
  46. Skateboards, scooters, hover boards, and battery-operated children’s ride-on toys must be driven on the half mile track at the 5 Acre Lake only.  These are forbidden elsewhere in the campground for safety reasons. 
  47. Fireworks/ firearms are not permitted at Friendship Village (including sparklers).
  48. Bicycle and electric bicycle riding is prohibited after dusk.  At dusk, all bikes are to be placed safely at your site.  Any child under 12 must wear a helmet while biking at Friendship Village.  While electric bikes are permitted, they must obey the 10-mph speed limit.
  49. All other rules that apply to regular campers also apply to monthly campers.
