Welcome to HideAway Lakes, Texas ~ where tranquility reigns supreme. We take pride in offering our guests a serene camping experience. To ensure a peaceful environment, we kindly request your adherence to the following guidelines:

  • Agreement to Park Rules: By entering our park, you are acknowledging and agreeing to abide by all our Park Rules & Policies (Terms & Conditions). We appreciate your understanding and compliance.
  • Music and Noise Levels: As a quiet park, we kindly ask that you refrain from playing any kind of music. Please keep noise levels at a minimum, ensuring they are only audible within your campsite. Excessive noise or inappropriate conduct may result in eviction from the park. Please note that evicted guests will not receive a refund and may be subject to a non-refundable $500 eviction fee.
  • We do not allow generators. 
  • Weather Channel: Before your visit or reservation, we recommend checking the  HideAway Lakes Weather Channel for the latest updates and conditions.
  • Reservation Requirements: Reservation holders must be prepared to present their reservation on their phone (no screenshots), a valid state ID, proof of auto insurance, and the credit card used for the reservation. We do not accept pre-paid cards.
  • Bag Check Policy: For the safety of all guests, our staff will conduct bag checks, including coolers, trunks, and bags, looking for glass items. Please keep ice in the bag, as we will empty coolers during the check. Entrance to the park is strictly prohibited for guests carrying unauthorized items. Reservations associated with such violations will be immediately canceled without exception. Please note that refunds will not be issued.
  • Clean Campsites: Please ensure your campsite remains clean at all times. Proper waste disposal is essential for maintaining the cleanliness of our park.
  • Valid Identification and Licensing: All guests aged 18 and older must present a valid state ID. Vehicle operators must have valid driver's licenses and auto insurance.
  • Vehicle Requirements: All vehicles, travel trailers, and gear trailers must be in good working condition, display license plates, and have proof of insurance.
  • Speed Limit and Driving Policy: For the safety of all guests and park staff, please adhere to a maximum speed limit of 5 MPH at all times. Driving after dark is strictly prohibited. Additionally, please avoid blocking roadways.
  • Vehicle Restrictions: Only individuals with a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance are allowed to operate motor vehicles in the surrounding roads and park areas. The use of quads, off-the-road vehicles, dirt bikes, and similar vehicles is prohibited within the park and its surrounding areas.
  • Campsite Etiquette: Please refrain from walking through other campsites, as well as note that we do not have a designated bicycle path.
  • Children Supervision: Parents are kindly requested to keep their children with them at their own campsite. Occupying additional campsites will result in additional campsite fees. Furthermore, parents must accompany their minor children (17 and under) to the bait shack and restrooms.
  • Private Property: HideAway Lakes is a privately owned campground, and all surrounding areas are also private property. Parking in neighboring farms, fields, roads, etc., is strictly prohibited and may result in towing at the vehicle owner's expense.

We appreciate your cooperation in upholding the peaceful and enjoyable environment at HideAway Lakes. Enjoy your stay!

 

RV Guests

- RV Cross-Country Travelers are welcome any day, year-round. 

- RV Camping is available on Friday & Saturday nights.  

Please be prepared to show proof of insurance before connecting your RV to HideAway Lakes' electric connections. Please be mindful of amp usage so you do not trip your breaker during your stay.

Please notify park staff if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests cannot diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Management is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless you are hired. All Motorhomes, RVs, and Travel Trailers must be in good working order and appearance. 

  • 30-amp & 50-amp connections
  • Water fill & Dump Station
  • Guests may Boondock (a campsite without electric connections).
  • Maintenance on RVs or vehicles in the park is not allowed.
  • Washing RVs or vehicles in the park is not permitted.
  • We do not allow generators.

Reservation Fishing Passes are $20/day per fishing rod. The limit is three catfish per fishing pass per day. *Reservations are 5 PM to 5 PM. Fishing passes may be added to your reservation or purchased upon arrival.

 

Tent Camping Guests

- Tent Camping is available on Friday & Saturday nights.

Please be prepared to show a valid driver's license and proof of insurance upon arrival. 

Upon checking in to your campsite, please check for any litter and tree damage. Immediately notify park staff of any issues. We are happy to ensure your campsite is clean so you and your family can enjoy peaceful lakeside camping! 

Fishing Passes are $20/day per rod. The limit is 3 catfish per fishing pass per day. *Reservations are 5 PM to 5 PM. Fishing passes may be added to your reservation or purchased upon arrival.

 

Day Fishing Guests

- Day Fishing is available on Saturdays & Sundays in the Spring, Summer, & Fall - from 7 AM to 5 PM. 

Please be prepared to show a valid driver's license and proof of insurance upon arrival. 

Day Fishing Passes are $15 per rod. The limit is 3 catfish per fishing pass. Fishing passes are purchased upon arrival.

 

Check-In & Check-Out

All guests must check in at the Bait Shack upon arrival. Reservation holders must be prepared to show the reservation on their phone (no screenshots), valid state ID, proof of auto insurance, and credit card used to book the reservation. We do not accept pre-paid cards.

Please be prepared to open all bags, coolers, trunks, etc., as park staff checks for glass & tags all rods. *Please keep your ice in the bag as we empty the coolers checking for glass. Guests arriving with glass will not enter the park.  

 

Day Fishing Guests

  • All sites: 7 AM - 5 PM

 

Overnight Camping Guests *reservations required

  • Check-in is 5 PM - Sunset. Gates close by dark; gates open at 7 AM. For the safety of all guests and staff, we do not allow driving after dark.
  • Same-day reservations can be made online until 5 PM.
  • Please report damage, vandalism, or any issues with your campsite to park staff immediately upon check-in. Any clean-up, damage, or destruction reported by park staff will be charged to the guest's account.
  • Check-out is 5 PM. Please plan prompt departures. Guests in campsites after 5 PM will have an additional day added to their reservation.

Rates May Change

Early Check-In

  • We can arrange an early check-in if your campsite is available. Please call/text for assistance at 915-247-8105
  • Additional fees may apply.

No Show

  • Guests who do not arrive during the designated check-in time are marked as "No Show" and will forfeit their reservation without camp credits or refunds. ​

Occupancy

Please select the best campsite for your family. You can always call our reservation desk at 915-247-8105 for booking assistance.

  • Small Campsite Reservations include 1 vehicle and 2 people.
  • Standard Campsite Reservations include 1 vehicle and up to 5 people.
  • Large Campsite Reservations include 1 vehicle and up to 5 people. Large Campsite reservations can accommodate 2 vehicles and up to 10 people.

Large Campsites: Your campsite reservation includes 5 people and 1 vehicle at no additional cost. If you bring additional guests beyond the initial 5, there is a small fee of $5 per person for each extra person up to 10 guests. Additionally, should you require 1 additional vehicle, there is a nominal fee of $20.

Large Group Campsite Clean-Up Deposit - A $250 deposit is required for all daytime guests and camping reservations involving groups of 10 or more people, including multiple campsites. This deposit will be refunded during check-out if the campsite has been maintained in a clean and quiet condition throughout your stay, and all campsites are left clean upon departure.

 

Peace & Quiet

We want to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable experience for all guests during their visit. To maintain a serene atmosphere, we kindly request your cooperation with the following guidelines:

  • Mindful Noise Levels: We encourage laughter and fun times while being considerate of others. Please keep the music off and maintain noise levels that are only audible within your own campsite. We strictly enforce peace and quiet to foster a tranquil environment.

  • Music Restrictions: To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, we kindly ask that you refrain from playing music using car radios, Bluetooth speakers, or your phone. Let's embrace the serenity of nature without any external distractions.

  • Reporting Inappropriate Behavior: If you encounter any loud or inappropriate behavior, please promptly report it to our park staff. We greatly appreciate your assistance in maintaining a peaceful environment for all guests.

  • Generator Prohibition: Generators are not allowed within the park. This policy ensures a peaceful and noise-free experience for all visitors.

  • Off-Road Vehicles: Dirt bikes, four-wheelers, ATVs, and similar off-the-road vehicles are strictly prohibited within the park. This measure ensures the safety of all guests and preserves the park's natural surroundings.

  • Responsible Alcohol Consumption: For the well-being of our guests and the harmonious atmosphere of our establishment, we kindly request that those who choose to indulge in alcoholic beverages do so responsibly. It is imperative to avoid intoxication, as it may disrupt the tranquil environment and pose potential risks to both individuals and the community. In instances of severe intoxication, we reserve the right to involve law enforcement, and any guests evicted due to such circumstances may be subject to a non-refundable $500 eviction fee. Your cooperation ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

 

Cleanliness

We prioritize the cleanliness and orderliness of our park to provide an enjoyable experience for all visitors. We kindly request your cooperation in maintaining a clean environment by following these guidelines:

  • Campsite Cleanliness: Please keep your campsite clean and orderly at all times. We appreciate your effort in leaving all areas and restrooms in a clean condition. If you notice any areas that require attention, please notify our staff so we can promptly address them.
  • Prohibited Items: To ensure the safety of everyone, we strictly prohibit the presence of glass bottles or containers of any kind within the park. Guests who arrive at the park entrance with glass will not be allowed to enter the premises. Additionally, pallets are not allowed on the premises for any reason. Kindly note that a non-refundable fee of $250+ will automatically be charged to the guest's account for any prohibited or unsafe items brought into the park.
  • Proper Food Storage: Avoid attracting pests and animals by not leaving any food out in the open. Securely store all food items to prevent any unwanted visitors from disrupting your camping experience.
  • Trash Disposal: Dispose of all trash in sealed trash bags. If you didn't bring your own trash bags, please visit the Bait Shack for assistance. Trashcans are conveniently located at each campsite, so please refrain from littering and dispose of all waste appropriately. Dumpsters are also available at the southwest corner of the park for larger items and bulk trash disposal.
  • Restrooms: We kindly ask that you maintain cleanliness in the bathrooms and campsites. If you have private camping bathrooms or toilet bags, dispose of sealed toilet bags directly into the dumpsters located at the southwest corner of the park. Refer to the provided restroom information for further details.
  • Proper Disposal of Broken Items: When it comes to broken shade canopies, chairs, tents, etc., please dispose of them directly into the park dumpsters located at the southwest corner of the park. If you need assistance, feel free to approach our park staff for guidance. Please note that non-refundable clean-up and disposal fees of $250+ will be charged for items left in campsites.
  • Prohibited Materials: It is strictly prohibited to dispose of or leave behind any wires, oil, furniture, carpets, mattresses, toxic waste, or chemicals anywhere within the park or its surrounding areas, including park trash cans or dumpsters.

Please be aware that non-refundable clean-up fees of $250+ will be automatically charged to the guest's account for any clean-up performed by our HideAway Lakes staff.

By adhering to these guidelines, you help maintain the cleanliness and integrity of our park. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a pleasant and pristine environment for all visitors.

 

Fishing

HideAway Lakes is a privately owned park. We stock Blue, Channel, and White Catfish.

  • Texas fishing licenses are not required.
  • Please bring your rod & reel. We do not rent or sell fishing rods. Please visit our Bait Shack for live bait & all-natural bait.
  • Fishing passes must be purchased before entering the park.
  • At check-in, all rods will be tagged.
  • We allow 1 hook per rod and real. We do not allow fishing with cast nets or throw nets, sticks, bottles, soda cans, etc.
  • We allow 3 catfish per permit. Guests who exceed their limit are charged $9/lb for all catfish.
  • We do not allow "catch & release."
  • Fish Cleaning Station available. Bring your knives. Or pack your fish on ice & clean your catch at home.
  • Please allow park staff to count your fish when you check out.
  • Please do not throw unused bait in the lake. Please give it to a neighbor angler or park staff, or place it in a sealed trash bag.

 

Wildlife

HideAway Lakes is a bird sanctuary. Please protect our birds, visiting birds, and all wildlife by maintaining your distance (at least 6 feet away from birds, ducks, geese, etc., and their nests) and keeping your campsite clean. If you have a dog, please keep it on a short leash, in your campsite at all times, and under the owner's control. Any behavior disruptive to birds in the park and surrounding areas will result in eviction. 

Causing injury or death to any park birds, visiting birds, and any wildlife is a Misdemeanor that will result in state fines and/or jail. Please see Texas law for more information.

We do not allow glass containers, confetti, confetti eggs, fireworks, holiday baskets with paper or plastic grass/straw, piñatas, or any items deemed unsafe. These items injure and can kill wildlife. Anything confiscated will not be returned. 

  • A non-refundable fee of $250+ will be charged to the guest's account for any prohibited or unsafe items brought into the park.

Please remember that you are in a natural wildlife habitat area. There are coyotes, birds of prey, bull snakes, reptiles, snapping turtles, and additional wildlife animals/creatures. All guests should ensure their safety and the safety of all children and pets. Children (all minors 17 and younger) must always be in the care of their parents.

 

Children & Safety

  • Parents, please keep your children in your family's campsite and under your supervision. 
  • A parent or legal guardian must always accompany all children (guests 17 and younger).
  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for children’s actions and safety.
  • Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times and for any disturbance caused to other guests.
  • Please do not allow your children to climb or hang from trees. A non-refundable fee of $300+ will be assessed for any tree damage.
  • Please do not allow your children to disturb, injure, or kill the birds and wildlife.
  • For safety reasons, we do not allow people to be dropped off. All guests must have a vehicle or be with their family in the family vehicle.
  • No one is allowed in the water for any reason. Please keep your hands, feet, and paws out of the water.
  • We do not allow boats, canoes, kayaks, etc., in the water.
  • The park speed limit is 5 mph.

 

Trees & Shrubs

Please do not injure the park trees or shrubs. NO nails, screws, ropes, or lines can be tied or inserted into trees, shrubs, or other structures.

  • Please do not hang from or climb on trees.
  • A non-refundable fee of $300+ will be charged to the guest's account for any tree damage.
  • Upon check-in, please report any tree or shrubbery issues in your campsite to park staff. Any tree or shrubbery damage reported by park staff will be charged to the guest's account. 

 

Restrooms

For the convenience of our guests, porta-potties and handwashing sinks are conveniently located around the park. HideAway Lakes staff clean the restrooms every 2 hours. Please help keep the restrooms clean by disposing of your personal items in the trash cans conveniently located by each restroom and in every campsite. Please bring issues to our attention immediately.

  • Please bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, sanitary wipes, etc., with you during your visit.
  • Guests under the age of 18 require adult supervision. Please accompany your children to the restrooms.
  • Please do not bring your dogs to the restrooms. 
  • Urination/Defecation or disposal of human waste onto park grounds or surrounding areas will result in eviction, fees, and reports to law enforcement. Public urination or defecation is a Class B Misdemeanor in Texas.

You are welcome to bring your private camping bathrooms and toilet bags. Please dispose of sealed toilet bags directly into the dumpsters at the park's southwest corner.

 

Dog Policy

A maximum of 2 small/medium well-behaved dogs (under 20 pounds) - per campsite/family/group - are certainly welcome at many Hideaway Lakes campsites. Please see the HideAway Lakes Park Map for dog-friendly campsites. Please keep your dogs on short leashes, in your campsite, and under the owner's physical control at all times!

We kindly request that you diligently clean up after your beloved canine companion.

  • Dog Fee: $15 per dog
  • Dog poop bags are required. If you forget to bring some, please visit our Bait Shack.
  • Owners are liable for their dog's actions while visiting the park.
  • Proof of rabies/distemper vaccinations must be provided upon request.
  • Dogs must wear appropriate identification tags at all times.
  • Dogs are not allowed near the restrooms. Please keep your dog on a leash, in your campsite, & under the owner's physical control at all times.
  • Dogs are not allowed in the water for any reason.
  • If your dog(s) violates any of these rules, you will be asked to remove your dog(s) from the campground.

Please be aware of any bait/hooks in your campsite. Park staff cannot assist in removing hooks from dogs' mouths, paws, or bodies.

If your dog bites someone, we must call the Sheriff's Department. They can and will take your dog. It will be impounded until you prove your dog has a rabies vaccination.

If your dog injures or kills any park birds, visiting birds, or wildlife, we will report it to the Sheriff's Department. Causing injury or death to any park birds, visiting birds, and any wildlife is a Misdemeanor that will result in state fines and jail. Please see Texas law for more information.

 

Campfires & Grilling

Campfires ~ At HideAway Lakes, we cherish the warmth and camaraderie of campfires, fostering a welcoming ambiance for our esteemed guests. We invite you to partake in this timeless camping tradition, crafting cherished memories amidst the dancing flames. For your convenience, we provide firepit rentals at a nominal fee of $10, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

 

To maintain safety and preserve our pristine surroundings, all campfires must be contained within firepits. Guests have the option to bring their own fire pit or rent one from us. Renting our fire pits not only promotes controlled fires but also facilitates seamless cleanup, overseen by our diligent park staff. Should guests opt to bring their own fire pits, they must refrain from leaving ashes in the campgrounds. Let's work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Firewood: In order to maintain the natural integrity of our park and its surroundings, we kindly request that you refrain from bringing any outside wood. Instead, we provide a convenient solution: Texas Pecan Firewood, renowned for its aromatic qualities and excellent burn. We offer bundles of this premium firewood for $20 each, ensuring that your campfire experience is both hassle-free and delightful. Elevate your camping experience to new heights by adding a delectable s'mores kit for $10 to your reservation. Indulge in the cherished tradition of crafting these gooey, chocolatey treats that have stood the test of time.

By adhering to these guidelines, we collectively contribute to the preservation of our pristine environment while enjoying the unparalleled charm of crackling campfires. We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to witnessing the magic of your campfire gatherings at your lakeside campsite.

Charcoal Grills ~ We've meticulously curated an immersive outdoor experience tailored just for you. As part of our dedication to your comfort and convenience, we're thrilled to offer charcoal grill rentals for $30. Easily incorporate the rental into your reservation or opt to rent one on-site. Bid farewell to logistical concerns – we'll personally deliver the grill straight to your campsite and handle all the cleaning upon your checkout. Forget about the hassle of transporting your grill and managing charcoal ashes; we've taken care of it all.

Please note that guests are not permitted to bring their own charcoal grills, but propane grills are welcome.

To enhance your stay even further, we have an assortment of amenities readily available. We proudly provide high-quality charcoal and lighter fluid right here on-site for $18. So leave your worries behind and immerse yourself in the serene ambiance of the lake while creating unforgettable memories with your cherished family and friends. Our goal is to make your time here as effortless as possible, allowing you to indulge in nature's beauty and relish every moment of relaxation.

  • Campfires are for firewood ONLY! Please do not burn trash in your campfire, fire pit, or grill.
  • Fire Pit and Firewood Delivery: We bring the fire pit and a plentiful supply of firewood straight to your campsite. No need to worry about finding or carrying heavy logs—just sit back and relax while we handle the logistics.
  • Ash Disposal: Once your camping adventure comes to an end and you've checked out, we take care of the messy task of disposing of the ashes in our firepits and charcoal grills. Leave the cleaning to us, ensuring a seamless departure without any lingering chores. 
  • Protect the Trees: Please refrain from cutting, trimming, or gathering wood, sticks, or branches within the park grounds. We provide a convenient firewood delivery service, ensuring a responsible and sustainable source of fuel for your campfire needs.
  • Safe Campfire Placement: For the safety of the park's ecosystem, we kindly ask that you build campfires at a minimum distance of 6 feet away from trees and shrubs. Additionally, avoid constructing campfires under overhanging tree branches. By following these precautions, you can enjoy your campfire while minimizing the risk of accidental fires.
  • Fire Height Restrictions: To prevent any potential hazards, please ensure that your campfire does not exceed a height of 18 inches. This height restriction ensures better control and reduces the risk of embers or sparks reaching nearby vegetation.
  • Tree Damage Assessment: A minimum fee of $300 will be applied in the event of any tree damage caused by campfire-related activities. We encourage responsible fire management and appreciate your understanding of maintaining the park's natural environment.
  • Attentiveness and Extinguishing: For the safety of everyone, never leave fires unattended. It's crucial to completely extinguish your campfire before leaving it unattended, regardless of the duration. This practice guarantees that the fire is fully out and poses no threat.

 

Bicycle & Walking Path

We do not have a bicycle or walking path. Please keep your bicycles at home. 

 

Miscellaneous Policies

  • Flying kites is not allowed.
  • Drones and remote-controlled machines are not permitted.
  • Only long-term RV Park guests may receive deliveries and/or packages.
  • Nudity or lewd behavior is not allowed on the premises or surrounding areas.
  • We do not allow the intoxication of guests. Law enforcement will be called. Evicted guests may be charged a non-refundable $500 eviction fee.

 

Internet Service

Disconnect from the world and reconnect to nature! Enjoy the peace & quiet ~
We are truly OFF-THE-GRID! Your cell service may be spotty. Your hot spot might work.

 

Damage & Harmful / Illegal Activity

Please report any damage, vandalism, or any issues with your campsite to park staff immediately upon check-in. Any clean-up, damage, or vandalism reported by park staff will be charged to the guest's account.

  • No trimming or wood gathering from trees or shrubs. A non-refundable fee of $300+ will be assessed for any tree or shrub damage.
  • Firewood bundles are available for your purchase.
  • Please do not hang any items from trees.
  • Please do not climb or hang from trees.
  • Absolutely NO FIREWORKS!
  • Archery, paintball, slingshots, or air guns are not allowed.
  • Any damage made to the park or property will be billed to the guest.
  • Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere in the park or surrounding property.
  • Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests and animals.
  • Guests who enter the park with glass containers of any kind will incur a non-refundable $250+ fee.
  • Guests who enter the park with pallets/wood with nails, screws, hinges, etc., will incur a non-refundable $250+ fee.
  • We do not allow the intoxication of guests. Law enforcement will be called.
  • Drunk / Disorderly evictions will result in a non-refundable $500 fee to guests.

 

Payments & Fees

Any account that becomes past due will be subject to a 25% late payment fee and may be suspended or disabled for non-payment at any time at the sole discretion of HideAway Lakes. Any accounts that are not collectible by HideAway Lakes will be turned over to an outside collection agency. If your account is turned over for collection, you agree to pay HideAway Lakes a “Collection Fee” of not less than $250, in addition to any fees that may be imposed by the outside collection agency or its legal representation. All services that HideAway Lakes offers are considered to be provided on a strictly prepaid basis.

 

Indemnification

Guests acknowledge that they make use of HideAway Lakes’ services at their own risk.

Guests assume any and all risks associated with the foregoing and agree to hold HideAway Lakes harmless from and indemnify HideAway Lakes against the same.

 

Policy Changes

HideAway Lakes reserves the right to evict or refuse entry to any person. Guests and their visitors agree to use the campground at their own risk. Management, staff, and owners are not responsible for damage, injury, or loss to persons, pets, or property. We reserve the right to change the rules and regulations as we deem necessary.
