Terms of Service

In applying for this reservation, I understand I am to submit the total listed above to Doddridge County Parks with this application. I further understand and agree to the guidelines and policies included with this application. Camping has inherent risks associated with outside activities. DCPRC is not responsible for injuries or damages occurring as part of the inherent risks of camping. The camper(s) hereby release DCPRC, staff and volunteers, of all liability for the loss or damages to property and injury to his/her person arising from use of camping facilities and agree to indemnify the DCPRC, staff and volunteers, against claims resulting from loss or damages to property or injury.

I agree to pay for any damages to campground / park property, sites, buildings, facilities, equipment, or loss of equipment, which may occur. Damages can result in claims on guests insurance.

I agree to immediately report any accident, injury or property damage to the staff. If a hazard or dangerous situation exists on the premise I will notify staff immediately. I agree to take full responsibility for myself and all people in my party.

I have read and agree to comply with all campground rules and regulations listed in the agreement, posted in the office or on the grounds.Reservation Guidelines

Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis; however, first consideration will be given applications for longest rental period. 

Campsites that are not reserved shall be rented on a first come, first served basis.  Campers may occupy a spot not reserved and report to the General Store within 30 minutes.  If after hours, campers must fill out Camping Permit form located at entrance and drop in night box.

A campsite is reserved when the rental fee is paid, which shall be indicated by a camping permit affixed to the numbered campsite post.

A reservation form or online reservation information must be filled out and returned to Doddridge County Parks.  Use a separate form for each site you wish to reserve.  Multiple applications require a separate adult and address on each form.  Confirmation will be issued to one (1) adult who will become the reservation contact.

One (1) group leader must check in at the General Store within 30 minutes of arrival

One responsible person who has passed their eighteenth (18) birthday, who is answerable for the actions and safety of the campsite occupants and liable for any damages caused by them, shall be at each campsite.

Cancellation must be received in writing or email to receive a full or partial refund

30+ days out = 100% refund

29 days and under = 50% refund

24 Hour Cancellation = No refund

Reservations may begin any day of the week

Check-in time is 2:00PM and Check-out time is 12:00 PM (Noon).  Early arrival may be arranged in advance.

Late check-out may be arranged in advance – if the site is not rented for the next day.  An additional nightly fee will be applied to check-out past 4:00 PM.

Camping stay is limited to fourteen (14) consecutive days if your reservation falls anywhere between April 15st and October 31th.

Campsite rental may not be extended by registering under a different name for the same site.

 

Specific Camping Rules:

RV          All sites are back-in or pull thru sites. 

RV          Campers may have one additional tent in addition to the main camping unit on its campsite.

RV          All sites 50/30/110 hook-ups

RV          Six sites include full septic hook-up.  Dump Station available in park.

RV – Fall and Winter seasonal camping rules requires guests to disconnect from campground water hydrants nightly to eliminate the chance of freezing.  Damages to water lines due to freezing can result in claims on guests insurance.

 

Tent       Maximum occupancy for campsite, six (6).  If over six (6) an additional fee of $2 per camper       will apply.

YURT     Campers must register before occupying a YURT unless otherwise directed by DCPRC staff.

YURT     Set up for either four (4) or six (6) people.  Additional cots may be obtained with advanced        notice for a fee of $5.00 / night. 

YURT     Have full or twin beds in various combinations. Please ask your reservation guide in advance    what your YURT has.  Campers must bring all linens and pillows.

YURT     Non-smoking

 

General Campground Rules

The Park closes at 10:00PM.  With the exception of the bathhouse use, campers must remain in their designated areas.

Campers must observe quiet hours between 10:00PM and 7:00AM

No Generators may be used in campgrounds.

Visitors must leave the campground by 10:00 PM

Campers shall keep their site clear and orderly at all times.

Profanity, abusive language or behavior, and any conduct that may endanger the welfare of any person is prohibited.

No object shall be driven into any tree, shrub, rock, sign, building or other object or structure on DCPRC property.

The washing of any equipment, clothing, pet, utensils, tableware, flatware, or any other cooking or eating item or the body, at water fountains, water pumps, comfort stations, bathhouse, washrooms, or lakes, ponds, pools and streams is prohibited. 

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited by on all DCPRC property

ATV / Side by Side, mini bikes, dirt bikes, electric bikes or electric/motorized toys are prohibited on DCPRC property unless in use by staff or with specific approval of the Park Director. 

Fireworks, sparklers or any other type of explosive item are prohibited on DCPRC property.

Hunting is prohibited on DCPRC property

Fishing is permitted in all areas.  A West Virginia Fishing License is required.

Trash should be disposed or properly to discourage animals near or in the camping area.  Dumpsters are located at two locations within the campgrounds.   Do not dispose of trash in the shower house or laundry room.

Pets must be attended at all times.  All pets must be kept on leash.  You must clean up after your pet and dispose of waste properly.  Barking must not become a nuisance.  Pets may be on hiking trails but must be on a leash at all times.

Some YURTs are pet friendly.  Please specify if you are bringing a pet so the proper handling of your reservation can take place. 

 

Campfires

Fire rings for each site are provided.  Gathering firewood within the park is allowed if it is laying on the ground.  Do not cut trees or bushes, alive or dead, for any reason. 

Campfires must be contained in the fire ring provided.  Fire rings may not be moved. 

Campers should refrain from putting glass, cans and plastics in fire rings.

 

Parking

Each RV slip will accommodate one (1) vehicle including a group trailer.

Some Tent sites will accommodate one (1) vehicle.  Most Tent sites require short to moderate hikes.

Some Yurt sites will accommodate one (1) vehicle.

Additional parking is provided in the Upper Lot (gravel) of the Main Park.  Carpooling is encouraged as space is limited.
