(Better known as Campground rules … and who likes rules!  But without them we can’t guarantee that you will experience the adventure, joy and well-being that we would like you to!)

You may reserve your site or accommodation online through our website, by phone or email.  A valid credit card is required for all reservations.

Cancellation Policy (not applicable to Seasonal Agreements)

Reservations may be cancelled 14 days prior to arrival, with full refund less a $10 administration charge.  Cancellations between 8 and 14 days will receive a 50% refund, and a cancellation 7days or less will receive a reservation credit, less a $10 administration fee (re-booking subject to availability).  Reservation credits expire 12 months from the date of issue.

Early departures are not eligible for refund.

Check In / Check Out

You may check in to your campsite any time after 2pm, (3pm for roofed accommodation) on your reserved arrival date to receive your vehicle permit.  Should you arrive after the office is closed, please text (855) 550-1558, and one of our hosts will assist you.  Check out time for all accommodation is noon.  Additional fees will accrue at the rate of $20 per hour for late departures.  You do not need to contact the office for check out unless fees are owing.

Accommodation permit holders must be 18 years of age or older.

Children

Children in your care must always be under your supervision, especially around water.  Their safety and conduct are your responsibility.   Should any damages be incurred by those in your care, and restitution not satisfactorily resolved, the costs will be charged to your account.

Fees

Full payment of reservation fees are due at the time of booking.  Reservations made for dates more than 12 months from the date of booking may be subject to price adjustments to reflect the current year fees.  For seasonal campers, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to hold the site, with the balance due on or before May 15.

Fires and firewood

Fires must be contained within the designated fire rings. Please do not move the fire ring, it has been placed in what is deemed as the safest location.  Ocean River RV Resort will comply with provincial and regional fire bans to ensure the safety of our guests, and may additionally impose park bans if conditions are deemed unsafe.  We will monitor alerts and post fire ban notices each afternoon outside the office, when required.  Fire bans will be strictly enforced.

We do not permit firewood to be brought in from outside the park.  Moving firewood can be a violation of the Plant Protection Act which imposes regulation to prevent the introduction of insect species, and wood disease.  For more information visit https://inspection.canada.ca/plant-health/forestry/don-t-move-firewood.  Firewood may be purchased from the Camp Store.

Garbage and Recycling

Refuse and recycling containers are located throughout the park. Please bag and tie both recycling and garbage bags before placing in the bin – do not place loose items in the recycling container (Note: plastic bags, #3 or #6 plastics, Styrofoam, glass and aerosols are not recyclable) . Place loose aluminum cans in the ‘Can Corral’.  Please no large or bulky trash items – we are not equipped to handle those.

Do not leave garbage outside your site as insects and animals both small and large will be attracted to it, creating safety issues (black bears and skunks are not uncommon here).

Hazardous waste items are prohibited in the park and in disposal bins.

The onsite dumpster is for staff use only.  Disposal fees will be charged for any items illegally dumped.
