Terms of Service

REGISTRATION

All guests and visitors are required to register at the Camp Store upon arrival and pay any applicable fees.  All rents are payable upon registration.  No refunds on early departures.  Tall Pines Harbor reserves the right to limit the number of person occupying and/or visiting a site.  Campsites are assigned.  Do not set up on any campsite or move from one site to another without first registering at the Camp Store.

CHECK IN & OUT TIMES

Check In for all lodging accommodations (Cabins, RV Rentals, Safari Tents) is 3:00 p.m. Check in for RV site rentals is 1:00pm Check Out for all accommodations is 11:00 a.m.  Fees will apply for early arrival and/or late departures (subject to availability).

OCCUPANCY

The maximum number of people allowed on an RV site, RV Rental Unit, and Safari Tent is 6. The maximum number of people allowed in a Cabin is 4-6 (depending on Cabin Size) NO SUBLETTING

GUESTS/VISITORS

Campers are responsible for their guests/visitors. All guests must register at the office and pay a $10 per/person per/day fee. Site occupancy must remain at the maximum 8 people. Vehicles must be parked in the overflow parking area. All visitors must leave by 10 p.m. Each site is allocated 2 adults and 4 children. If more than 2 adults are staying on one site, a $10 per/person, per/day charge is applied. For guest vehicles fees and policies please refer to the Vehicle section. NO SUBLETTING

QUIET TIME, COURTESY & CLEANLINESS

Our quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily. Do not cut through other sites and please keep all personal possessions within the boundaries of your own site. Be kind and considerate to all surrounding neighbors. Violations of courtesy rules could result in eviction from the campground. Extra Charges can be Applied if Site or Accommodation requires additional cleaning. Please keep the grounds and your site free of trash.

CLOSING

The closing date for the 2022 season is 2:00 p.m. on November 27th. All camping units and personal property must be removed by the date.

EMERGENCY

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY DIAL 911. Our location is 8107 Tall Pines Lane, Temperanceville, VA 23442. Provide your site number and then notify the front office so we can provide an escort to the emergency services. (we are located in Accomack County)

SPEED LIMIT

All campground roads are 5 mph.

TRASH/RECYCLABLES

Before 10:00 a.m. trash may be placed in front of your campsite to be collected by our maintenance staff. After 10:00 a.m. please place ALL trash in any of the allocated dumpsters.

SEWER HOOK-UP

Virginia law requires all sewer hoses be undamaged and sewer connections be tight. Replacement sewer hoses and sewer doughnuts can be purchased at our camp store.

WASHING/CLEANING

Washing and cleaning RV’s, vehicles, or watercrafts is prohibited on the property.

SMOKING

All buildings including the bathhouses, pool areas, and the beach are smoke-free.

TENTS

One tent is included per tent rental site. $20 to add a tent to an RV site (subject to space availability, check with Camp Store).

VEHICLES

One vehicle is included in the site fee. Any additional vehicle may be parked in overflow parking area for an additional $10 per/day. All vehicles must have a valid state license plate and a parking pass from the front office upon check-in. Parking your vehicle at the beach is not permitted. Towing is enforced. All ATV/UTV/Minibikes and other large terrain vehicles are prohibited. Stand-up scooters are also prohibited on property.

LIABILITY

Please be careful! Use of beach, campground, pool and Tall Pines equipment is at your own risk; management assumes no liability for loss or damage to camping equipment, vehicles or property of campers or guests

BOAT TRAILERS

After launching your watercraft, the trailer must be returned to the overflow parking immediately.

PETS

All pets must wear a collar with current contact information of the owner. There is a limit of 2 pets per site for accommodations. Owners must clean up after their pets. All pets must be leashed at all times when they are outside of your RV and/or lodging. Pets must not be left outside unattended. No more than 2 pets per pet friendly accommodations and 4 pets per RV site accommodations. No vicious pets allowed. Pets not allowed in swimming areas.

FIREWORKS/FIREARMS

Virginia and county law both prohibit the use of fireworks at any time. Tall Pines Harbor has also banned the use of sparklers. All types of Guns, Rifles, bow and arrows, slingshots are Prohibited.

CAMPFIRES

Virginia law requires campfires be always attended. Occasionally there is a state/area ban on fires, and we will post and/or notify you at check-in if that occurs.

FIRE RINGS & PICNIC TABLES

One of each is provided to marked sites. Please do not put trash, bottles, or cans in fire rings. Moving fire pits or Picnic Tables from the provided location is NOT permitted.

BIKES

Virginia law requires that anyone operating a bicycle under the age of 16 must wear a helmet while biking. All bikes used during dark hours must have working lights and/or reflectors. No bikes on Pier.

GOLF CART OPERATORS

Virginia law requires all motor vehicles, including golf carts, be operated by a licensed driver. Proof of insurance coverage while at Tall Pines Harbor is required for anyone operating a Personal golf cart. Homeowners insurance is not adequate, as it does not cover the golf cart away from home. A rented golf cart is not permitted to leave the property of Tall Pines Harbor.

CHILDREN

Children under 10 must be always under direct supervision of a parent or guardian.

SWIMMING POOL/BEACH AREA

No lifeguard on duty at the beach or pool areas.  Swim at your own risk. No running in pool areas. No diving into pool. No glass containers. Children must be accompanied by and adult.  Please do not swim alone.  Safety equipment is for emergency use only.

PERSONAL SALES

It is prohibited to advertise and/or sell personal products while staying at Tall Pines Harbor.
