DISCLAIMER
Winding River Resort is not responsible for trail system closure in Rocky Mountain National Park or Arapaho National Forest. We do, however, anticipate both trail systems to be open June 15-October 1. (This includes guests traveling with horses and guests traveling with UTV’s)
Winding River Resort does not issue refunds for early departure or cancelation for any reason. This is not limited to COVID 19, weather, road conditions, travel delays, road closures, family emergencies, sicknesses, lack of transportation, or distance of travel. Winding River Resort recommends and encourages all customers to protect their travel investment by purchasing travel insurance from a 3rd party.
Pricing
Pricing is based on double occupancy (2 adults) on all RV and tent sites. Additional adults are $10.00 per person/per night. Children 17 and under are free. Max of 6 people over the age of 5 total on any RV site or tent site. Pricing on cabins and wagons are based on the total number of people the cabin or wagon can sleep.
Cancellations
Cancellations for all camping made at least 7 days prior to the arival date will be refunded in the form in which it was paid, less a charge of one night stay. For cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date, the entire balance paid will be forfeited by the guest. Cancellations for all lodging, cabins, and wagons made at least 30 days prior to the arival date will be refunded in the form in which it was paid, less a charge of one night stay. For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, the entire balance paid will be forfeited by the guest.
Guests of Winding River Resort shall abide by the resort rules and regulations posted on the front of the main building, back of campground map or the website. Winding River Resort shall not be held liable to any guest for any loss, theft, injury, or damage that may result any person or property by or form any cause whatsoever.
Check in and check out
Check in and check out time for RV and tent sites is noon. Check in time for camper cabins is noon and check out time is 11am. Check in time for all housekeeping cabins, lodge rooms and wagons is 3pm and check out time is 10am.
Early departure
No money will be refunded for early departures.
Camping units per site
Only one camping unit per site.
Cabins
All stays in cabins and wagons are subject to a minimum cleaning fee of $150 if an excessive amount of cleaning is needed.
Quiet hours
Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am.
Pets
Pets are allowed on campsites and camper cabins but are NOT allowed in housekeeping cabins, lodge rooms, wagons, or public buildings. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times, never left unattended, and you must clean up after them.
Speed limit
The speed limit on Winding River Resort property is 10mph. We love our kids!
ATV's
Winding River Resort allows guests to ride ATV's, UTV's and other large terrain vehicles to and from the trailhead. All off highway vehicles are prohibited on property.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in all cabins, lodge rooms, wagons, and public buildings. Evidence of smoking in any of these is subject to a $250 charge per day for the entire length of your stay. Marijuana use in any form is strictly prohibited on Winding River Resort property.
Drones
Drone flying is prohibited on resort property and adjoining federal lands.
EVs
Electric vehicle charging is stricktly prohibited at Winding River Resort.
DIRECTIONS
Go 1-1/2 miles north of Grand Lake Village entrance on Highway 34. Take the third left turn (west) after Grand Lake onto County Road 491 (across from the Kawuneeche Visitor Center), go 1-1/2 miles to Winding River Resort. DO NOT TURN at Winding River Ranch (Wedding Venue).
