RULES OF THE CAMPGROUND
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
All reservations are non-refundable. We do not charge for extra sunshine nor do we refund for weather. You must cancel your reservation 7 days prior to your stay to receive a camp credit that can be used towards a future resrvation and will be charged a $10 processing fee.
Discount and Coupon Policy
All discounts and coupons must be mentioned at the time of booking. There are no refunds for coupons or discounts.
Camper info
- Check in time is 3:00 P.M. Check out time for a site is 11:00 A.M and check out time for cottage, Teepee, Safari Tentl is 9:00 A.M.
- Garbage - Please place all garbage in designated dumpsters. Charcoal is to be dumped in the fire ring at your site or cabin. Do not leave trash at campsites for individual pickup or put in a fire pit.
- Each campsite is allowed 1 camper or tents per site. You are allowed 2 vehicles on your site (if space allows).
DO NOT park extra vehicles in empty sites, in the restaurant parking lot or along the roadways.
- Wristbands/Pond/Beach: All guests on the property are required to wear a wristband at all times.
Please be aware that there is no lifeguard on duty and any children under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
There is a fee for non-campers to use pond and resort facilities. Please register at the office.
- The shower house/restrooms are open 24 hours a day. The showers are coin operated .
- There is a coin laundry facility. This is open 24 hours a day.
- Each campsite has 1 fire ring and 1 picnic table; please do not take a picnic table from another site.
- Campfires are allowed in the provided fire rings ONLY, please do NOT move the fire rings. During DNR burn bans campfires are not permitted.
- QUIET TIME: For the enjoyment of all our campers, especially those with children, we enforce “QUIET HOURS” in the campground from 11:00 P.M. TO 8:00 A.M. There is an 11:00 P.M. curfew for minors, at this time they must return to their campsites. CARRY IN’S Wisconsin State Law 125.32 6A “prohibits patrons from bringing their own alcoholic beverages into a restaurant for consumption. Therefore carry-ins are prohibited at The Lighthouse Pub
REGISTRATION AND GUEST INFO:
All campers must check in and register at the office BEFORE setting up camp. You are allowed no more than 6 guests on a site, including children. Your site is priced for 2 adults and 2 children any variation will incur additional charges. All visitors to your site must register at the office and receive a wristband.
Guests must know your site number when registering. We cannot give them this information. You must be at least 21 years of age to camp without being accompanied by a parent. Alcohol use by underage campers in the park is not tolerated, violators will be asked to leave the park.
Smoking is not allowed on the pond, in the arcade, around the beach or at any playgrounds. No one under the age of 16 may be left unsupervised on the property. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for the whereabouts, actions, and safety of their child(ren) while at Buckatabon Lodge and Lighthouse Pub
Any child under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at the pond/pool area.
- GUESTS: The Camper is responsible for the conduct of their day and overnight guests, and shall be personally liable for any injuries or property damage arising from the actions of such guests. All day/night guests must register at the office upon arrival, purchase a wristband.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- There is a 5 mile per hour speed limit in the campground. This applies to all vehicles including golf carts, UTV/ATVs, bicycles, etc.
- Bicycles must have lights if riding after dark!
- Do not trespass on properties surrounding Buckatabon Lode and Lighthouse Pub. No fireworks may be possessed or used on the Campsite or anywhere else in the Campground.
- Camper agrees that any photographs taken by Buckatabon Lake Lodge staff in which they or their family appear may be used for advertising purposes
- Concealed weapons are not permitted in the Campgrounds.
- Do not cut through other campsites walking or with golf carts, bikes, cars etc.
- DO NOT WALK THROUGH OTHER CAMPSITES.
- Do not cut tree limbs off trees or drive nails into trees.
PETS
Pets are welcome in the campground as long as they are kept quiet and on a leash. They are never to be left unattended outside your camper. Barking dogs will be required to be removed from the campground. You are expected to clean up after your pets. Pets are not allowed in any buildings, swimming area or beach. No fences are allowed. Dogs must be registered; show vaccination records and wear a tag with the site number. We do not allow Pitbulls or Rottweilers or any similar breed.
Notice of Wisconsin Law Wisconsin Statutes 895.525(3) & (4) states: ...A participant in a recreational activity accepts the risks inherent in the recreational activity of which the ordinary person should be aware. A participant in a recreational activity is responsible to do all of the following: Act within the limits of his or her ability Heed all warnings regarding participation in the recreational activity Maintain control of his or her person and equipment devices or animals the person is using while participating in the recreational activity. Refrain from acting in any manner that may cause or contribute to injury to himself or herself or to others while participating in the recreational activity.. A violation of the law constitutes negligence.
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I have requested to be permitted access to the Facility or permitted use (including as an operator or passenger) of a boat, jet ski, or other equipment owned by the Facility for the purposes of a camping, swimming, boating, fishing, and other recreational activities.
I understand that I may opt out of signing this Waiver and Release of Liability by paying a $50 fee.
I understand that visiting a facility with a campground, playground, and lake involves risks, dangers, and hazards that may cause serious personal injury or death and that injuries are a common and ordinary occurrence. I further understand that boating, jet skiing, or operating other watercraft involves risks, dangers, and hazards that may cause serious personal injury or death and that injuries are a common and ordinary occurrence. Risks include, but are not limited to, drowning, injuries caused by diving, injuries caused by the use of water skis, tubes, and other accessories, collisions involving vehicles, boats, golf carts or other equipment, slip and trip hazards associated with wet or unpaved surfaces, injuries related to playing sports, including basketball, pickleball, horseshoes, and/or shuffleboard, injuries, including falls and collisions with other participants, injuries related to utilizing the “jump pillow” inflatable, falling off or being hit by the train, injuries caused by fishing tackle or hooks, falling off or crashing a bike, falling off or otherwise being injured by while utilizing the swing set, being burned or otherwise injured by a campfire, insect or animal bites or attacks, or any injuries caused by participating in activities at the Facility.
In consideration of being permitted access to the Facility Site and/or being provided a tour free of charge, I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND AGREE NOT TO SUE, AND FURTHER AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD HARMLESS BUCKATABON LAKE LODGE LLC, as well as its owners, parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, officers, directors, managers, partners, shareholders, members, agents, insurers, attorneys, employees, agents, and volunteers (collectively “BUCKATABON RELEASEES”) from, and for any liability, claim(s), demand(s), cause(s) of action, damage(s), loss, or expense, including court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees of any kind or nature resulting from any personal injury to myself, including death, which is caused by any negligent act or omission of any of the BUCKABATON RELEASEES, with respect to:
· Drowning in the lake or pond;
· Injuries caused by diving;
· Injuries caused by the use of water skis, tubes, or other accessories;
· Collisions involving vehicles, boats, golfcarts, or other equipment;
· Slip and trip hazards associated with wet or unpaved surfaces;
· Injuries related to playing sports, including basketball, pickleball, horseshoes and/or shuffleboard;
· Injuries, including falls and collisions with other participants, related to utilizing the “jump pillow” inflatable;
· Falling off or being hit by the train;
· Injuries caused by fishing tackle or hooks;
· Falling off or crashing a bike;
· Falling off or otherwise being injured while utilizing the swing set;
· Being burned or otherwise injured by a campfire; and
· Insect or animal bites or attacks.
I FURTHER AGREE TO ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY WHICH MAY RESULT FROM MY PRESENCE AT THE FACILITIY SITE AND I HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS, DEFEND AND INDEMNIFY THE BUCKABATON RELEASEES FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURIES SUSTAINED BY ME, INCLUDING DEATH, CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF ANY BUCKABATON RELEASEES WHILE I AM AT THE FACILITY SITE. I AGREE NOT TO BRING ANY ACTION OR LAWSUIT AGAINST ANY BUCKABATON RELEASEES FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF ANY BUCKABATON RELEASEES.
In accordance with Wisconsin law, nothing in this Waiver and Release of Liability shall be construed as releasing, discharging, or waiving any claims I may have for reckless or intentional acts on the part of any BUCKABATON RELEASEES. This releasee is not intended to, and shall not, alter or limit Wisconsin’s recreational immunity statute, Wis. Stat. § 895.52, in any respect.
I acknowledge that I have signed this Waiver and Release of Liability freely and voluntarily, without any inducement, assurance or guarantee, and intend for my signature to serve as confirmation of my complete and unconditional acceptance of its terms, conditions and provisions. This Waiver and Release of Liability represents the complete understanding between the parties regarding these issues and no oral representation, statements, or inducements have been made apart from this Waiver and Release of Liability. If any provision of this this Waiver and Release of Liability is held to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this this Waiver and Release of Liability and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. The Laws of the State of Wisconsin, notwithstanding its conflict of laws principles, shall control the interpretation and enforcement of this release, waiver, and promise to defend and indemnify.
I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE CAREFULLY, AND UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING THIS WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE, I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE THE BUCKABATONRELEASEES, AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, SHAREHOLDERS, INSURERS, ATTORNEYS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES FOR CERTAIN CLAIMS.

As the parent or legal guardian to the minor identified above, I hereby accept and agree to all of the terms and conditions of this Waiver of Liability and Release on behalf of the minor in connection with the minor’s presence on the Facility Site. If, despite this Waiver of Liability and Release, I, or anyone on the minor’s behalf, makes a claim for Liabilities against any of the BUCKABATON RELEASEES, I will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless each of the BUCKABATON RELEASEES from any such Liabilities which any may be incurred as the result of such claim.
