A Colorado Road Trip with RVshare

A Colorado Road Trip with RVshare

Always looking for a new adventure, I knew exploring the mountains during the fall was an ideal time for a Colorado road trip. The weather is perfect. The leaves begin to change. Most people are back to work/school so the best sites are less packed.

With the help of RVshare and Campspot, it was a breeze coordinating this trip. We were looking for a getaway in the Rocky Mountain National Park area. There were plenty of RV options for us to choose from and landed on a 2008 Gulfstream Endura. Which was the perfect vehicle for our needs. A local pick-up, plenty of space for activities, and the ability to get us from point A to B with ease.

As someone who is constantly traveling, finding ease in our adventures is essential. We don’t usually travel in an RV and this trip was a luxury having the space and amenities it provided. From a full kitchen, stovetop, expandable walls. Our trip went from camping to “glamping” really quickly. I know the pups were happy!

Once we established the ride, we started, mapping our Colorado road trip. The high volume of Campspot locations added another ease to planning our trip. We stayed at Winding River Resort in Grand Lake, CO, and then River Run RV Resort in Granby, CO, both just a quick drive from Denver/Boulder and adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park!

Winding River Resort

This was our first stop. This site was magical being surrounded by mountains. With free-roaming horses and options for rides, this made our experience way more enjoyable. The pups had to say hello every morning. There was a lot of open space to walk around and the foliage created an amazing atmosphere.

River Run RV Resort

This resort is nothing short of its name. This property had more amenities than most hotels we’ve stayed at. It was a joy to arrive and let the pups run around in the dog park. Taking a plunge in the heated pool or taking a sunset soak in the hot tubs. Being active beyond hikes while traveling is important for me too, River Run had a top-notch gym facility that allowed me to get my blood pumping. With its mountain views and vast space, this was a dream to end our adventure at.

This Colorado road trip was perfect, easy, and ultimately relaxing. We couldn’t have done it without the help of RVshare and Campspot. Having the spacious RV and luxurious campsites created an ideal getaway for our first time adventuring around Colorado in the fall. 10/10 will do it again.
