No jumping, running, climbing on tables and chairs in the dining hall and common areas. If you are inside, move to a doorway threshold or under a strong piece of furniture. Stay away from windows. When the immediate danger has passed, move all persons outside to an open area.
If you are outside, move to an open area away from buildings and trees.
After an earthquake, turn off all electrical, water, and propane. Do not enter any buildings until they have been checked for safety and Camp Staff gives an approval to enter.
Severe Weather-
Camp Staff will notify you in the case of severe weather.
Take shelter inside the nearest building.
Find a safe place to wait out the storm (make sure you are away from windows).
Stay in a safe place until notified by a staff member that the danger has passed.
Active Shooter-
If you hear gunfire at the camp, run for shelter. Go into the nearest building with doors that can be locked. If there are no buildings in the area, run and scatter.
Once you are in a safe place, hide (make sure the door is locked), and then move furniture in front of the door. Turn out the lights and hide under or behind tables or other pieces of furniture. Make sure all campers are accounted for as soon as possible.
Call 911 and then keep quiet (turn cell phone to silent and turn walkie talkies off).
If you do encounter a shooter then fight. If several people are in a room, position people on either side of the door that can jump on the shooter if they do enter the room. Grab anything that is available to hit the shooter.
