Camp Valhalla Rules

Check out time is at 11:00 am.

Note – potable water is not available and a boil water advisory is in place.

Please check in with Camp Valhalla staff at the office upon arrival.

Be bear and wildlife aware. Do not leave any food unattended, store all food in a vehicle or camper, and put all garbage in dumpsters nightly. A fed bear is a dead bear, and we want to protect these magnificent local creatures. If you are tent camping and need a non-refrigerated place to store food safely please talk to your friendly camp host.

You have been assigned a specific site. If you wish to move, please check in with the office. We will do our best to accomodate your request, but moving may not be possible due to maintenance or other reservations.

Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.

Extra tents or camping units, are charged a fee of $46, and must be within site boundary.

Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only. Campfires are prohibited during times of open fire bans, issued by the Province of British Columbia. Camp Valhalla also reserves the right to issue a campfire ban on our grounds, even if a regional fire ban is not in effect.

Quiet time is from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am, every day.

Children must be supervised.

Please limit speed to 10 km/hr within all areas of Camp Valhalla.

There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

Kids using the pump track must wear appropriate biking helmets.

Littering of any kind is not permitted. No water balloons (to prevent bits of balloon plastic polluting pristine Summit Lake). No Spitz on the ground please. No cigarette butts on the ground or in the fire pits.

Garbage, recycling and compost (including dairy, meat and bones) are to be disposed of properly in the designated waste area. See posted signage.

Guests using fully serviced sites must use a sewer elbow to minimize the risk of sewer line backup. These devices are available for purchase at the Camp Store.

The laundry room is open 24/7. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.

Amenities are for guests only (including sani dump).

No fireworks (they scare wildlife and dogs, and not all campers are fireworks fans).

Generators allowed from 9am-11am and from 4pm-7pm. We ask that you please be courteous and check in with your neighbours first.

Camp Valhalla reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, including those listed above.

Camp Valhalla is not responsible for loss, injury, or death due to accident, fire, or theft.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
(THE “RELEASE AGREEMENT”)
BY AGREEING TO THIS DOCUMENT, YOU WILL WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.
TO: Camp Valhalla Holdings Inc., and its directors, officers, employees, members, agents, officials, organizers, volunteers, assigns, sponsors, promoters, and any other types or representatives (collectively, “the “Releasees”).
“Property” shall mean, without limitation, any premises, lands, buildings, facilities, play structures, fields, sports fields, docks, pump track, beaches, lakes, man-made lakes, swimming pools, parks, trails, walking paths, trees, roads, grounds, parking lots, and equipment owned, leased, or licenced by Camp Valhalla Holdings Inc.
IN CONSIDERATION of the Releasees granting permission to use its property and equipment and engage in certain activities, which include without limitation renting and using boats, water sport, recreational vehicle camping, hiking, fishing, biking and participating in any activity, events, services, or use of facilities arranged, organized, or conducted by the Releasees, including but not limited to recreational activities, training and instruction, use of play structures, bike pump track, picnic areas, field, beaches, lake, mane-made lakes, swimming pools, parks, trails, walking paths, roads, grounds and parking lots (the “Activities”), THE UNDERSIGNED, AS A RELEASOR, HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES AS FOLLOWS:
1. TO WILLINGLY AND FULLY ASSUME ALL RISK AND INDEMNITY, acknowledging that participating in the Activities and my presence at, or use and enjoyment of the Property involve many risks, dangers, and hazards, including, but in no way limited to: personal injury, illness, death, property damage, loss, drowning, all manner of injuries resulting from using or falling out of a boat; using or falling off of a bicycle; changing weather and water conditions; exposed rock, earth, trees, and other natural objects; changes or variations in the water or land terrain which may create blind spots or areas of reduced visibility; impacts or collisions with other persons, boats, fencing, equipment, vehicles, or objects; and, the failure to operate boats safely within one’s own ability, or within designated areas; negligence of other persons; and negligence of the Releasees. I understand that negligence includes failure on the part of the Releasees to take reasonable steps to safeguard me from any risks, dangers, and hazards of the Activities. I am also aware that the risks, dangers, and hazards referred to above, and many others not referred to above, exist throughout and adjacent to the Property, and that many are unmarked.
2. TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I have or may have in the future against the Releasees and to hold harmless and indemnify the Releasees from any and all liability for any property damage, loss, illness, or any personal injury resulting from my participation in the Activities, involving myself and/or any third parties.
3. TO RELEASE THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense, illness, or injury, including death, that I may suffer or that my next of kin may suffer, as a result of my participation in the Activities, and my presence at, or use and enjoyment of the Property, due to any cause, whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or other duty of care, including any duty of care owed under the Occupiers Liability Act, RSBC 1996 c 337, on the part of the Releasees, or other participants, or anyone else and further including any failure on the part of the Releasees to take reasonable steps to safeguard or protect me from the risks, dangers, illness, and hazards or participation in the Activities, and my presence at, or use and enjoyment of the Property.
4. I AGREE THAT:
a). this Release Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns, and representatives in the event of my death or incapacity:
b). any rights, duties, and obligations as between the parties of this Release Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the province of British Columbia, and no other jurisdiction; and,
c). any litigation involving the parties to this Release Agreement shall be brought solely within the province of British Columbia and shall be deemed to be within the exclusive jurisdiction of such province.
5. FURTHER, I HEREBY AGREE:
a). to maintain complete sobriety while I rent or use boats or other equipment from the Releasees, and I understand I may be excluded from participating in certain Activities if the Releasees or their agents deem me, in their sole discretion, to be under the influence of any drugs and/or alcohol;
b). to abide by and understand the rules and regulations established by the Releasees, and to act responsibly with a view to preserving my own safety and the safety of others; and,
c). that in entering this Release Agreement, I am not relying upon any oral or written representations or statements made by the Releasees other than what is contained in this Release Agreement.
Cancellation Policy:
Any cancellations and/or date changes to reservations received within 14 days of the scheduled arrival will result in a forfeiture of your entire payment.
Cancellations and/or date changes to reservations received between 14 and 30 days ahead of scheduled arrival will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations and/or date changes to reservations made more than 30 days in advance of arrival will incur a $46.00 transaction fee (per site). Any refunds owed will be processed through the credit card on file.
There are no refunds issued for variable weather conditions (rain, heat or smoke). There are no refunds issued for wildfires in BC, or for highway closures if there is one access open to Camp Valhalla as per DriveBC.
By reserving a site with us you agree to all terms and conditions of our property.
All "add-ons" are subject to the same cancellation policy above.
I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTOOD THIS ENTIRE RELEASE AGREEMENT PRIOR TO SIGNING IT, AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS RELEASE AGREEMENT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH I OR MY HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, OR ADMINISTRATORS, ASSIGNS AND REPRESENTITIVES MAY HAVE AGAINST THE RELEASEES. FURTHER, I AM LAWFUL AGE (19 YEARS OR OLDER) AND AM OTHERWISE LEGALLY COMPETENT TO ENTER INTO THIS RELEASE AGREEMENT.
