Reservation of Rights
The Canyon Creek Campground & Harbour (Canyon Creek) reserves the right to amend these rules without prior notice to residents or guests. Canyon Creek, at its discretion, reserves the right to refuse entry on the campground to any person and to evict current guests. Canyon Creek further reserves the right to refuse to accommodate current and returning guests that have violated rules and regulations and/or have vacated the campground without paying all fees.
Ironclad Anti-Harassment Policy
Any incidents of harassment will result in the immediate suspension of regular or seasonal camping privileges. Campers found in contravention of our harassment policy will be asked to leave, and no refunds will be given.
Harassment includes incidents of bullying; intimidation; direct insult; malicious gossip; and victimization.
Patrons are sincerely thanked for their adherence to our code of conduct. We can’t create an exhaustive list of things that may constitute harassment, but a few scenarios include:
- Sabotaging a patron's campsite
- Making derogatory comments
- Making unwanted advances
- Spreading personal rumours
Reservations
- Online reservations can be made at ourcanyoncreek.com beginning February 20 of each season.
- All powered, non-powered and group campsites are reservable on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The registered purchaser (permit holder) shall be the designated representative for the campsite and must provide ID including their name AND vehicle license plate number(s), and number of people at their campsite. This adult is responsible for the actions of all members of their campsite, and any visitors to the campsite.
- If a reservation cannot be fulfilled, you must cancel your reservation at least 14 days in advance to receive a 100% refund (less reservation fees) or risk charges as laid out in the cancellation guidelines herein.
- Reservations/sites are not transferable. The reservation holder’s name must be provided at the time of booking and cannot be added or changed later. Any reservation holders found to be transferring or selling their reservations to another party risk their reservation being canceled without a refund.
- If a customer can no longer use their reservation, they are encouraged to cancel it so that any unused camping fees that are not forfeited as a penalty can be refunded.
- Weekend reservations have a 2-night minimum reservation.
- Long weekend (Statutory Holiday) reservations have a 3-night minimum reservation.
- Full payment (including reservation fees) is required at time of booking. We only accept credit cards.
General Campground Rules
- All camping fees must be paid before parking in the site. The check-out time is 12:00 noon. No refunds will be given due to weather conditions. No refunds will be given without one week's notice of cancellation.
- A campsite is defined as an area suitable for one RV unit, one picnic table, one firepit and one vehicle per site. There is a designated parking area for boats & trailers, plus visitor parking.
- All campsites must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Seasonal sites are the responsibility of the site holder.
- No cutting down of trees or bushes without management permission.
- All campfires must be kept in fire pits and must never be left unattended. Please try and keep the fire pit areas clean and tidy.
- Washrooms and showers are available for 24/7 use by campers. Please clean up after use for the next person.
- Liquor is allowed only within each patron’s campsite.
- The speed limit is 10km per hour within the campground. All ATVs must adhere to all Alberta Motor Vehicle Regulations. No riding ATVs in or around the campground; you must idle in and out.
Power, Sewer, Garbage and Water
- Provincial legislation prohibits the dumping of sewer or grey water anywhere except in a designated dumping station. Sewer dumping and water are free to campers during their stay at the campground.
- All household garbage must be disposed of in the dumpster located across from the hotel next to the shed. This does not include fish waste. ALL FISH MUST BE CLEANED AT THE FISH CLEANING STATION BEHIND THE STORAGE SHED AND FISH WASTE TO BE BAGGED AND PLACED IN THE DEEP FREEZE—NO EXCEPTIONS. There is no cleaning of fish directly on picnic table surfaces. Paper or cardboard must be used.
Harbour and Marina Rules
- The marina is a NO WAKE ZONE
- SWIMMING AND FISHING ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the boat launch and marina.
- The use of the boat launch, dock and moorage slips is at your own risk.
- All vehicles and boat trailers must be angle-parked in the designated areas.
- Launching and berth passes are available at the office. Keep any receipts on hand as you may be asked to provide proof of payment by marina staff.
Pets
- Pet owners must tether/contain their pets at their given campsite, and must attend these pets at all times.
- Pets must be leashed when walking within the campground and harbour areas.
- It is each owner’s responsibility to clean up after their pets. Please ensure you bring your scoop and dispose of all pet waste in the dumpster.
Quiet Time
- Quiet time is between 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Quiet time applies to generators, ATVs, loud music, and other disturbances. Thank you in advance for your consideration of your fellow campers
Liability
The campground and harbour facilities are at the user’s own risk. Campground guests are responsible for their visitors. Canyon Creek assumes no responsibility or liability for the safety and security of RV tenants/campers/visitors. Canyon Creek is not responsible for loss or damage to RV or camping patrons’ or guests’ property due to theft, vandalism, fire, any casualty or act of God.
Registered guests and all other users of this property expressly assume all risk of such loss or damage and must carry their own insurance.
Disclaimer
Canyon Creek provides its services, including but not limited to its sites, utilities, boat launch and amenities on an “as is” basis and makes no representation or warranties of any kind, either express or implied. By staying at or using campground or boat launch facilities, you agree to these terms and that under no circumstance will Canyon Creek be liable for direct, indirect, incidental or any other type of damages resulting from your use of any part of the resort. This includes, but is in no way limited to, loss or injury caused in whole or in part by our negligence or things beyond our control.
Indemnification
Camping and/or boat launch guests shall indemnify and hold harmless Canyon Creek, its officers, and employees from all claims, liability, and expenses, including but not limited to attorney and other professional fees, for injury to persons, loss of life, or damage to property arising out of the tenant’s exercise of his rights hereunder.
