Carterville Acres COVID-19 Policy

At Carterville Acres, we’re committed to fostering a safe and welcoming space for everyone, including those with invisible disabilities or health concerns. While we strive to create an environment where all campers feel comfortable, we also encourage care and mutual respect within our community to ensure everyone can enjoy their stay. Our COVID-19 policy reflects this ethos:

  • Respect for Personal Choices: We understand that everyone has different comfort levels and personal needs. Masks are not required but are welcomed in common areas, especially if you're interacting closely with others and you have concerns about spreading any contageous illness. We encourage you to wear a mask if it makes you feel safer.

  • Health Awareness: If you’re feeling unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that you exercise consideration and respect for other campers with whom you'll share space at Carterville Acres and either avoid shared spaces or consider rescheduling your trip.

  • Shared Spaces: In high-traffic areas like restrooms, lodges, or the office, we encourage guests to be mindful of others’ space. Maintaining a bit of distance and being courteous goes a long way in helping everyone feel at ease.

  • Community Care: We are a community that cares for one another. If you’re coughing, sneezing, or have other mild symptoms, we suggest using a mask in shared spaces out of consideration for guests who may be more vulnerable.

  • Cleanliness Standards: Our team regularly cleans and sanitizes common areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for all guests. Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the park for your convenience.

At Carterville Acres, we aim to balance freedom and comfort with care for those around us. We ask all guests to approach this policy with kindness and empathy, recognizing that some in our community may have health conditions that aren’t immediately visible.

Thank you for helping us create a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for everyone. If you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.
