Coal Creek Camping and RV Terms and Conditions
Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in time: 3 pm
- Check-out time: 11 am
- We are unable to accommodate early check-in or late check-out for any reason.
- Failure to vacate your site by 11 am without prior approval may result in additional fees and the removal of personal items from the site.
Long Weekends
- Statutory holiday long weekends listed below require a minimum 3-night booking during the months of May through October:
- Victoria Day / May Long-Weekend
- Canada Day / July Long-Weekend
- BC Day / August Long-Weekend
- Labour Day / September Long-Weekend
- National Day for Truth and Reconciliation / September
Rate Details
- Rates are subject to 5% GST.
- Rates are subject to seasonal changes but are guaranteed once your booking is paid in full.
RV Site Occupancy
- Rates are based on occupancy of up to 2 adults (aged 17 and older) per site and any accompanying children aged 16 years and under. For each additional adult guest aged 17 and older, a fee of $6 per person per night will apply. All additional fees are non-negotiable and must be paid at the time of booking.
- One tent (no larger than 7’ x 7’) is permitted on-site for children aged 16 and under for an additional fee of $6 per night.
- All possessions, including vehicles and equipment, must remain within the designated gravel pad area of your site.
Tent Site Occupancy
- Tent site rates include up to 2 adults (aged 17 and older), children aged 16 and under, and one vehicle per site.
- A maximum of 2 tents is permitted per site.
- For groups exceeding 2 adults, additional sites must be booked.
- Tent site stays are limited to a maximum of 14 consecutive nights.
- All belongings, including tents and equipment, must remain within the designated gravel pad area of your site.
Payment Policy
- For daily stay bookings, full payment will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking.
- Long-term stays (one month or more) require payment in full of the first month as a deposit to confirm the booking. All subsequent months will be charged on the 1st of each month.
- For cancellations and refunds, please refer to our Cancellation Policy.
Protection of Wildlife
- To ensure the safety of guests and wildlife, all wildlife attractants must be stored in a bearproof enclosure or a secure vehicle whenever you are away from your site or retiring for the night.
- Wildlife attractants include, but are not limited to:
- Food (opened or unopened), garbage, and recycling
- Empty containers and coolers (whether full or empty)
- Dishes (clean or dirty), stoves, and cooking utensils
- Scented items, such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste
- Guests found in violation of this policy will be subject to a $100 fine without warning and may face immediate eviction without a refund.
- If violations result in attendance by the Municipal Bylaw Department or the Conservation Service, the guest responsible will be liable for all associated fines and penalties.
- Coal Creek Camping and RV are not liable for damages or incidents arising from wildlife interactions.
Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours are observed daily from 11 pm to 8 am to ensure a family-friendly and restful environment.
- Failure to comply with quiet hours may result in fines, eviction, or both.
Vehicles
- RV Site Rates: RV site rates include one RV, trailer, or fifth wheel, plus one tow or towed vehicle.
- Tent Site Rates: Tent site rates include one vehicle per site.
- Additional Vehicles: All additional vehicles must be declared at the time of booking and will incur a fee of $6 per vehicle, per night.
- Parking: Vehicles must be parked either on your designated site or in approved parking areas. Parking in undesignated areas is prohibited.
- Speed Limit: The speed limit throughout the campground is 10 kph. Please drive cautiously and be mindful of cyclists, pedestrians, pets, and children playing.
- Off-Road Vehicles: Unlicensed and motorized off-road vehicles are prohibited from operating anywhere on the property, including the surrounding Montane Trail Network.
Garbage
Guests are required to deposit all garbage and recycling into the approved bearproof containers provided throughout the park.
Fires
Only guest-supplied gas fire pits permitted.
Open burning of any kind is prohibited to ensure guest safety and compliance with local fire regulations.
Generators
As all sites are fully serviced, the use of generators is not permitted. Guests found using generators will be subject to a $50 fine per violation and may face eviction.
Pets
We are a pet-friendly campground and welcome up to 2 pets per site. To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, the following rules apply:

- Leashes: Pets must always be on a leash while outside.
- Supervision: Dogs and other pets must not be left unattended for extended periods and are not to be left by themselves outside.
- Behavior: Aggressive behavior or excessive barking will not be tolerated. Guests may be asked to leave without a refund if their pets pose a nuisance or safety risk.
- Quiet Hours: All pets must remain inside your unit during quiet hours (11 pm – 8 am).
- Clean-Up: Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Sites left with pet waste will incur a $50 cleaning fee.
Visitors
- Visitors are welcome between 9 am and 10 pm only. Visitor vehicles must be parked in designated guest parking spaces.
- Unauthorized overnight stays by visitors are not permitted and will result in a $50 per-person per-night fee and may result in eviction of the reservation holder.
Water Pressure
- We recommend the use of a water pressure regulator while hooked up to our water system.
- Coal Creek Camping and RV are not responsible for any damage to a guest's equipment while connected to our services.
Alcohol, Smoking, and Cannabis
Alcohol, smoking, vaping, and cannabis use are permitted only within the boundaries of your site and are not allowed in any public areas of the park.
Respect for the Park and Other Guests
At Coal Creek Camping and RV, we are committed to preserving the natural beauty of our grounds. To help maintain this environment for all to enjoy, we kindly ask all visitors to adhere to the following guidelines:

- Respect for Vegetation: Please protect and preserve the trees, bushes, and other vegetation on our property.
- No Alterations: Do not hang, tie, or attach any objects to trees or bushes.
- Avoid Damage: Cutting, breaking, or damaging any vegetation in any way is prohibited.
By following these guidelines, you are helping us maintain the natural charm and ecological balance of Caol Creek Camping and RV for future generations. Thank you for your cooperation and respect for our environment.
- The reservation holder is fully responsible for the behavior and actions of all occupants and visitors at their site.
- Children must remain under adult supervision at all times. Guests are responsible for knowing their children’s whereabouts and ensuring they are respectful of the campground’s grounds, facilities, wildlife, and other guests.
- Coal Creek Waters: The creek can be fast-moving and deep, and currents may pose a hazard. Guests are advised to exercise caution around the water.
- Surrounding Grounds: Trails, rocks, and beach areas may be slippery or uneven, creating a potential slipping hazard. Guests must proceed with care.
- Use at Your Own Risk: Guests are responsible for their own safety while enjoying the facilities and surrounding environment. Coal Creek Camping and RV are not liable for accidents, injuries, or damage.
Damage to Site
The holder of the reservation is responsible for any damage to the site or property caused by residents or guests of their site and is subject to charges based on the damage caused.

Termination of Stay
- Coal Creek Camping and RV reserves the right to terminate any stay without prior notice for violations of our policies. Guests whose stays are terminated will forfeit all fees paid, with no refunds issued.
- We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for the following behaviors:
- Public intoxication
- Vulgar language
- Threatening, abusive, or disruptive behavior towards staff or fellow campers
- Any such violations will result in immediate eviction, permanent banning from future bookings, and, if necessary, the involvement of law enforcement.
- In cases of serious violations, guests may be evicted without warning. For less severe violations, a warning will be issued before further action is taken.
Liability Disclaimer
- Coal Creek Camping and RV assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or damage to personal property occurring on the premises. Guests agree to use all facilities, amenities, and surrounding areas at their own risk. By booking, guests release Coal Creek Camping and RV from any claims arising from the use of its property.
