Cow Lake Campground

GENERAL

  • The online booking system "Campspot" has the site dimensions for each camp site listed. Length and Width, this is for safety reasons and to allow emergency veichles access if need be. FOR example: You have a 30 foot long camper and the site is listed as only 24 feet long, your camper must be 24 feet or shorter or the system will not allow you to book that site (this is for safety reasons,traffic flow etc)  If you put in the wrong size camper, example: a tent or a 20 foot trailer just so your able to book the site this is against the campground rules and will not be allowed. If this does happen you may be asked to move to a site that will accomodate your camper (if there is a spot available) no guarantee's AND NO REFUNDS. The site dimensions are there for a reason so please respect that. Honest mistakes can happen we get that, so if your unsure please reach out to us before booking your spot. (email if your not able to get through on the phone).
  • Your campers/trailers etc must fit in the stall and can not be parked on the road way, no parking on the grassy areas
  • Check in time is 2:00pm Check out is 11:00am
  • For everyones safety, Speed limit while in the campground is 10km/hr and stictly enforced. Exceedance may result in immediate eviction

  • Quiet time is 11 pm. Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise to a reasonable level.

  • Generators must be campground friendly and can run between the hours of 9 am – 10 pm only with a running time of 2 hours on and at least 1 hour off. At 10 pm all generators are to be shut down for the night. Generators are to be kept within your site (not in the trees) and must not be left running in your site unattended.

  • No use of Beach or Playground after 11 pm.

  • Swimming is permitted off of the docks, however due to shallow water, NO DIVING

  • Fireworks are not permitted in accordance with Clearwater County Bylaws. The only exception to this rule is the community fireworks put on by Cow Lake Campground for Canada Day Long Weekend.

  • Our main Gate is locked from 11 pm – 7 am daily for safety reasons, if you require access out or in between these times it will result in a $20 fee unless it is for a medical emergency. Make sure any guests who may be visiting later than 11 pm have moved their vehicle to the parking area outside the red gate.

  • We have onsite management 24/7 and is located in the cabin beside the main office and can be reached by calling the main office number at 403-845-5851 after the office is closed

  • Beach and Playground use is prohibited after 11 PM

  • NO Outside firewood delivery. Only firewood brought in by the camper or purchased from the campgroung is permitted

GARBAGE DISPOSAL 

  • We have provided several bear prrof bins for garbage and recycling disposal around the campground, Please do not litter.

  • Brown bins are for garbage, Blue is for Refundable containers.

  • All proceeds collected from recyclables goes to our fireworks show on Canada Day!

  • Fish remains to be disposed in the Fish Cleaning Station only.

  • Please use ashtray or fire pit to dispose of cigarette butts & sunflower seeds.

OHV/ATV

  • All ATV/OHV off road vehicles are forbidden within our campground.

  • You may trailer your off road vehicles in and out but the staging area is outside the main gate.

  • Anyone caught using these vehicles within the campground can and will be evicted.

TOBACCO, MARIJUANA & ALCOHOL USE

  • Please remember Cow Lake Campground is a Public place.

  • Use Respect when using any and all items mentioned.

PET OWNERS

  • Rules are strictly enforced and any person with pets caught disobeying these rules will be evicted from their sites without refund. NO DOGS ON THE BEACH OR GRASSY AREAS

  • All dogs must be on a leash and under control at all times, even while in your campsite.

  • Please clean up after your pet and put dogie bags in the garbage bins provided.

  • Do not leave your dog unattended and keep noise (barking) to a minimum.

  • Dogs are not allowed on the beach/grass area or waterfront. Please do not allow your dogs to swim in the lake.

  • Dogs are not allowed in any buildings.

  • Dogs are not allowed on the green area that surrounds the volleyball court and main playground.

  • Dogs are not allowed on the fishing pier.

  • Dogs are allowed on the boat dock for loading & unloading purposes only

  • Please watch carefully for signs.

FOREST PRESERVATION

  • Park only in designated parking areas only.

  • Refrain from peeling bark, putting nails in or pouring hot liquid on the trees.

  • Do not carve on the trees or picnic tables.

  • Do not brake branches off the trees to make wiener sticks.

PARKING, BOATING & CAMP SITE SETUP

  • All tents, Trailers, Wood and vehicles must be on the gravel area, not in the bush area.

  • Extra vehicles that do not fit in your campsite or who may be visiting must park in designated parking areas or the main public parking lot.

  • Boat & Trailer parking : If your boat trailer fits in your campsite without blocking the road way from passing vehicles then you may park it in your site. But if it does not fit then it must be parked in the designated boat parking lot by the beach.

  • No overnight mooring of boats on the docks. There is an area where boats can be beached and tied for overnight

  • There is a $10 boating fee per visit for day use customers, persons who are camping at the time do not pay the boating fee. Proof may be requested. We do have seasonal and monthly boating passes available for purchase as well.

  • No guns in the campground of any kind

Services

  • Fresh water is available to all campers free of charge, located east of the office
  • Sani dump is available near the exit of the park for a fee of $10.00
  • Laundry services are available onsite to all campers.The machines take loonies
  • There are shower facilities loacted in the center of the park which are open from 08:00am untill 10:00pm.tokens can be purchased at the office
  • Firewood ($15 for a cart) and Ice ($3.00 per bag) can also purchased from the office
  •  

Cancellation Policy

  • Regular Cancellation: Reservations cancelled 2 or more days in advance are charged $10 cancellation fee, reservations cancelled less than 2 days in advance are non refundable. 

    Holiday Cancellation(Long Weekends etc): Reservations cancelled 14 or more days in advanced are charged $10 cancellation fee, reservations cancelled less than 14 days in advance are non refundable.
