Downata Hot Springs, Downey, Idaho

Check-In / Check-Out:
Lodging Check-in is at 4:00 PM  and entitles you to your site until 11:00 AM the next day. Key drop boxes are at the campground exit, camp host, or main office. 
Campground check-in is at 4 PM and entitles you to your site until 2 PM the day after check-in.  If you arrive early, please make arrangements until your site opens at 2 PM MST. We have a waiting area for those checking in early, but please check in before pulling into the waiting area.  You do not need to contact the office for checkout unless you have a balance on your account.
Late check-ins are not allowed after 10:45 PM MST.  This is courtesy to the other campers.  Guests can park in the main parking lot until 8 am the next day. All vehicles need to be registered.  Overnight camping is not permitted in our main parking lot.
Pavilions are from 10 AM to 10 PM.  If you need to get in early for breakfast, please notify us prior to arrival so we can have it cleaned and ready.

Cleaning Fees: A cleaning and/or pet fee will be charged for any units left cluttered OR damaged from guests' usage.  Pets are ONLY allowed in YURT 4 and the DEER DEN.  These pets must be registered, and you will be charged for any damage caused by your pet(s).   NO SMOKING or VAPING is allowed in any of our lodging units.  You will be charged a damage fee of at least $100.  We require a credit card on file for all incidentals and cleaning fees.  A list of cleaning requirements will be posted at each unit.  Cleaning or damage fees may take up to four days to be charged to your card.

Open Fires are not allowed in our park. Fires must be in firepits or designated fire rings.  Sites that do not have fire rings do not permit portable fire rings.  Safety is not possible due to the narrow campsites.  The State of Idaho has asked that out of state firewood not be permitted to enter Idaho.  This is to keep our trees healthy.  Firewood is available to purchase at the resort.

Site and Park Navigation:  Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park. Please use main roads, sidewalks, and designated public paths to walk around the campground.

Children always need to be supervised by an adult.  We don't allow any digging in our sand volleyball area.  A sandbox is provided for such an activity.  Climbing on top of our swings and basketball hoops will not be tolerated.  Our Memory Park is for adults.  If children are in the Memory Park, they must be with an adult.  The children's swings and playground are located by the pickleball court in the middle of the park.  Horseplay, running, or diving in the pool is not permitted. Riding bicycles without a parent on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. We do not allow any bicycles, scooters or skateboards to be ridden on our sidewalks.  This is for the safety of our guests.  Bikes need to be parked in bike racks and not on sidewalks or roads.  

Pet Policies: We ask that you keep your pets on a leash at all times. You are responsible for your pet and any damage or harm they cause. No aggressive breeds are allowed.  County code laws do not allow pets in our building or pool area.  Pets are also not allowed on our playground or water facilities.
 

Cleaning Up After Your Pet: Be a good neighbor and please use the dog walk area and clean up after your pet always. Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites please. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund and (or) a fine.
 

Leaving Pets Unattended: Pets may not be left unattended in our park. Please do not tie your pet to a tree and leave. Leaving your pets unattended is dangerous for your pet as many factors including weather, power outages, etc. can affect your pet’s well-being while you are away.
Barking: Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without a refund.

Speed Limit: The park's speed limit is 5 mph. This policy keeps you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave. Safety is our number one priority for our guests. 

Parking: Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 1 vehicle per site unless noted. Extra vehicles will need to be parked in additional parking spaces in our lower parking area. Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.  Registered vehicles, trailers or boats can park in the lower parking lot.  All vehicles must be registered and have a window tag.

ATV’s. Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, and Golf Carts:  OHV’s are welcome onsite but may not be used within the park.  ONLY to get to and from your site.  Children should not be driving or operating these OHV without an adult present.  Local laws need to be observed including speed limits and driver’s license requirements.  Helmets are required.

Severe Weather: In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the bathrooms or pavilions.  If you are in a tent and the wind is blowing hard, please take shelter under a pavilion or in the bathrooms.

Visitors: Only registered guests are permitted to enter the park. All visitors must stop in the office to register, pay a fee and receive a parking pass.  Day visitors must depart by 11:00 pm MST.  Please check with the office before inviting any visitors. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all campground rules are followed.  All guests visiting someone in the park must register and pick up a pass at the office and park in the designated area. Vehicle Pass must always be visible.

Laundry: The laundry room is open 24/7. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.  It is $1.50 for Washer and $1.50 for Dryer and requires quarters to operate.  Quarters are available at the main office.

Restrooms: For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms are open 24/7 except for a temporary closing for cleaning once per day. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean, please. Guests under the age of 18 need adult supervision in the bathrooms and showers as well as in the pool area.  We have two RV restrooms available with limited showers.  Showers are available in the main building when we are open for the pool.  Bathroom trailer is located by the Conestoga Wagons.  Contact someone if they need maintenance.

Quiet & Curfew Policies: Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. Anyone playing loud music will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund. Curfew time is 11 PM to 7 AM.  Anyone wandering around the campground will be sited for trespassing.  Youth and children must be accompanied by an adult to go to the restroom after 11 PM.  The local sheriff’s office patrols our campground regularly.
 

Playground, basketball court, and volleyball area close at 10 PM.  Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by 10 PM.  
 

Trash Disposal and Recycling: Trash cans are located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. If the first can is full, please find another container. Please do not place your trash on the ground to keep animals away.  Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our trash cans. Trash is emptied once per day.  No large boxes, chairs or other large items are prohibited.  Take it with you. Our trash service does not take trash to recycle.

Drones are not permitted in our park. Please do not fly drones over people or RVs.

Fireworks and Firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. Fireworks include sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. Firearms include all guns, air soft, BB, and pellet guns.  If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Safety and Emergencies: If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call the after hours number (208) 240-9009  24 hours a day. (No solicitation or making a reservation is allowed at this number.)
If you need to call 911 for any reason, and time allows, please call our onsite managements cell phone at (208) 317-5591 so our staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site.  The main management are EMT’s, and they work with the local ambulance service.    Non-emergency Sheriff Number: (208) 237-7114.  Emergency call 911.

The address is 25900 S Downata Road, Downey, Idaho 83234.  Tell dispatch that you are at Downata Hot Springs Campground and give the site # that has the emergency.

*PLEASE NOTE WHEN MAKING FUTURE YEAR RESERVATIONS, THE RESERVATION ONLY GUARANTEES THE SITE BOOKED, NOT RATES.  PRICING IS UPDATED IN JANUARY.  YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION THE FIRST OF JANUARY THE YEAR OF ARRIVAL WITH UPDATED RATES.  BALANCES WILL BE DUE BY JANUARY 31ST.
