Flamingo Falls Campground, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Thank you for being our guest. Please take notice of the following rules for your safety and consideration of your fellow campers.

General Rules

  • Check-in time is 12:00 pm Contact the office if you want an early arrival, and as a common courtesy be charged $10/hr
  • .Check-out time is 11:00 am.  Late check-outs are charged at a rate of $20/hr.  Contact the office before 10:30 am to make arrangements. Any check-outs past 2:00 pm will be charged a full night.
  • For those campers checking in after the office has closed, we will leave an envelope in the Red After Hours mail box (located on the fence) which contains directions to your site, camping pass and other park information. We will give you a courtesy call an hour before the office closes to check on your estimated arrival time.
  • You must be at least 21 years old to reserve a campsite. Valid ID must be presented at check-in.
  • All minors must be accompanied by an adult at each site.
  • If you have any visitors while you are here, they will need to stop at the office before heading to your site.  You will be responsible for any actions or behavior of your guests. They are welcome to park at your site if space permits, otherwise there is parking behind the office or in the main lot. Do not park on an empty site, you will be charged a fee for doing so. Visitors must depart by 10 pm.
  • Coin-operated washers and dryers are located at the northwest end of the community room and coincide with office hours. A change machine is located in the community room for your convenience.
  • Currently, we do not allow golf carts, ATVs, side-by-sides, mopeds or all-terrain vehicles. 
  • A  propane tank fill station is located near the camp store. Contact the office for assistance.
  • All firearms must be secured. No discharging or displaying of weapons at any time.
  • Illegal activity of any kind is strictly prohibited and will result in expulsion from the property.
  • No checks accepted. Cash or Card ONLY.

Site Rules

  • The speed limit is 5 mph in the parking lot and campground. Please slow down and watch for children.
  • Site Numbers are NOT guaranteed, but we do guarantee you a site type accordingly. To guarantee a specific site number or if you want to be next to someone in your group, you may want to use the "Site Lock" feature. A one-time fee of $20 will be charged per site ($10 for tent sites). Please put in the reservation notes the names of people in your group and/or their site number.
  • Do not park on the the grass.
  • Do not wash your vehicle or RV at your campsite.
  • There is parking for two (2) vehicles at your campsite. All other vehicles can park behind the office or in the main lot.
  • Ask the camp office if you need assistance backing in your RV.
  • All RV sites and deluxe tent sites have water and electricity with 50/30/20 amp. All tent sites have electricity and shared water. We are not authorized by the county for sewer at each site due to the high water table, but we do have a dump station which is located at the west end of the campground.
  • Outside firewood is NOT allowed. Firewood is available at the camp store.  Burn firewood and paper only. Do not burn cans, plastic bottles or garbage in fire pits. 
  • DO NOT MOVE FIRE PITS OR PICNIC TABLES TO ANOTHER SITE. You will be fined $40 for doing so.
  • Quiet hour starts at 10 pm. Please keep music, conversations, and vehicle noises low. Be courteous to your neighbors!
  • We have two convenient dumpsters; one at the west end of the campground near the dump station, and the second near the Exit on the east side. Please bag all garbage and dispose of it in dumpsters.  We appreciate you helping us keep our park clean!

Remember, you are entering this campground at your own risk. So please take care of each other and abide by all rules and directional arrows.

Pets

Flamingo Falls Pet Policy:  If bringing a pet with you on your stay, by agreeing to our terms and conditions, you also agree to the pet waiver release.  We love pets and know you do too so please look after them.

  • Provide shade, water and attention.
  • Do not leave your pets unattended for extended periods while off the property or at the waterpark.
  • We reserve the right to contact Animal Control in harmful, disruptive, or extreme circumstances.
  • Dog walk areas are provided on the west end of the campground and on the west side of the office.
  • Dog droppings must be picked up immediately.
  • As always, all pets must be on a leash at all times and not left outside unattended. 
  • All pets should be up-to-date on any shots. You should have a copy of them with you.
  • No pets inside any buildings, restrooms/showers, ponds, or pools.
  • Remember manners, constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is vocal, you may be asked to find other accommodations.
  • At no time may a pet be left unattended in a tent.

Safety

  • The Fishing Pond is catch-and-release. Please fish from designated areas only.
  • Do not swim or wade in the Fishing Pond. No lifeguard on duty!
  • Do not climb on or hop over any fences. They are there for a reason.  
  • No fireworks are permitted anywhere on the grounds.
  • In extreme weather, a storm shelter is available on the south side of the campground. Please monitor extreme weather and use caution!
  • Any alcohol consumption must be kept in the camp store or campsite. There is no drinking in any parking lot. Outside alcohol is not allowed into the waterpark. 
  • Again, the shower rooms are for washing yourselves, not your pets, clothes, or dishes.
  • All buildings are tobacco and vape free.
  • Please report any damage to the facility or your site to the camp office so we can get things back in working order.
  • For medical emergencies, call 911 immediately. In case of an emergency, please contact the camp office.
  • Flamingo Falls Campground is not responsible for accidents, damages to yourself or your rig, or the loss of your belongings.
  • You may be assessed a fee if you go out of your way to damage anything on the premises.

Liability Waiver

Any person or person(s), including guests or visitors, are subject to the liability waiver and by agreeing to our terms and conditions also agree to the liability waiver release stated below:

Flamingo Falls Liability Waiver

LIABILITY:
The use of Flamingo Falls' facilities is at the user's own risk. Flamingo Falls assumes no responsibility or liability for
the safety or security of the guest, visitors, or the guest’s private property. Flamingo Falls is not responsible for the
loss or damage to the guest’s private property due to theft, vandalism, fire, any casualty, or act of God.
Registered guests and all other users of the property expressly assume all risks such as loss or damage and must
carry their insurance.

DISCLAIMER: Flamingo Falls provides its services, including, but not limited to, sites, utilities, and amenities on an
“as is” basis and makes no representation or warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. By staying at or
using Flamingo Falls' facilities, you agree to the terms of this agreement. Further, the guest agrees that Flamingo
Falls will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or any other type of damage resulting from your use of any
part of the campground, under any circumstances.

INDEMNIFICATION: Guest shall indemnify and hold Flamingo Falls, its officers, and its employees, harmless from their claims, liabilities, expenses, including, but not limited to, attorney and other professional fees, for any claims that may result upon guest's use of the site or facilities.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: Flamingo Falls is private property. Flamingo Falls, at its discretion, reserves the right to
refuse entry to the campground for any reason and to evict current guests at any time without a refund. Flamingo
Falls also reserves the right to refuse to accommodate current and returning guests that have violated Flamingo
Falls' rules and regulations or have vacated the campground without paying all the fees.

ACTS OF OMISSION OF GUEST’S PROPERTY: The following events shall be deemed to be events of default by guest
under this agreement:

  • Guest’s failure to pay fees by the terms of their agreement.
  • Guest’s failure to perform or comply with any term or condition of this agreement.
  • Guest’s failure to comply with the Flamingo Falls' rules and regulations.

ABANDONMENT OF GUEST’S PROPERTY: If, at any time, a guest abandons their property, Flamingo Falls shall have
the right, without notice, to store or otherwise dispose of the guest’s property at the guest’s expense.

By accepting this reservation, guest hereby waives, releases, discharges and covenants not to sue Flamingo Falls for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, or any other claim arising out of or in connection with guest’s use of the property. Further, guest agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Flamingo Falls from all losses, claims, expenses, and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Flamingo Falls may incur arising out of or in connection with guest's use of the property. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Flamingo Falls reserves the right to remove any renter, occupant, or guest who is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a State sexual offender registration program.

Management shall not be held liable or responsible for the non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control.

Flamingo Falls or its management bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person or property or thing howsoever caused.

The management reserves the right to evict any day user, guest, camper, or group of campers for any cause.
