Florida SKP Resort, Wauchula, Florida

Current Escapee Club Membership is required for reservations and proof must be provided.

We want to ensure all our guests have a great experience while at the Florida SKP Resort. Listed below are guidelines to help make your experience so enjoyable that you will want to come back time and time again.

Prices are subject to change without any prior notice at sole discretion of Florida SKP Resort.

​If you have any questions, please contact us at the Front Desk during normal business hours (Mon – Sat 9am -4pm; Sun 9am – 12pm, closed Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months).

  1. All Guests will be escorted onto their site by Park Staff. Please do not attempt to park yourself as it is a violation of the Resort. 
  2. Do not move your unit to an unassigned site without management approval.  Your site is guaranteed only for the days that have been paid for.
  3. Quiet time is from 10:00 pm – 8:00 am
  4. Sites are limited to two people.  Any additional guest will incur a charge of $5.00 per person, per night.
  5. Only two (2) cars per site.  Parking in the street is not allowed.  If additional parking is needed, please contact the Front Desk.
  6. Boats, car dollies, cargo trailers, boat trailers, and utility trailers, are not permitted on RV sites. 
  7. We are a 55+ Adult Community.We do allow Escapee Members under 55 years of age to make reservations.    
  8. Guests are responsible for all behavior and actions of children. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult in all areas of the park, especially in the pool area, pickle ball courts and the activities building.
  9. Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk through or between sites when navigating the park.
  10. All visitors must register at the Front Desk if staying overnight. Visitors may incur an extra per night charge.
  11. No skateboarding, hoverboarding, or rollerblading is allowed.
  12. ATVs, dirt bikes and gas-powered vehicles are prohibited. Only electric golf carts are allowed.
  13. Collapsible clotheslines mounted to the rear of the RV are permitted.  Nothing is allowed to be tied to or hung from a tree or a post.
  14. Trimming or cutting of trees or bushes is not allowed. 
  15. Only patio furniture and accessories & cycles may be left outside of the RV. Outdoor furniture is to be clean and orderly.
  16. EZ-Ups & screen rooms are not allowed on member owned park sites in the grass but may be allowed on park owned sites with permission from the Front Office.
  17. We do not provide trash pickup.  Dumpsters are available in the Resort.  There is wildlife in the area so please do not leave trash out overnight. Only flattened cardboard is allowed in the dumpster. No loose trash. Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in the dumpsters.Aluminum cans are recycled. Containers located in Laundry Room & outside under pavilion near Clubhouse West entrance near pool area. 
  18. All sewer connections are required to be secured with a sewer ring, as per Florida State Law. Sewer hose must be supported and not sag.
  19. No mechanical vehicle service or repairs are permitted on site. 
  20. You must obtain permission from the Front Office before you can wash your RV or vehicle. Grass sites are not permitted to wash their vehicles or RV on site.
  21. No one under the age of sixteen (16) is allowed to drive any motorized vehicle, including golf carts, without an adult licensed driver.
  22. Home-made school buses and RVs are not allowed unless inspected and approved by the Board. The staff has the authority to refuse any rig that does not meet resort standards. We do not allow tents, or vans unless they are fully self contained. 
  23. All people are to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Management has the authority to refuse entry or remove anyone from the Resort.
  24. This is a Pet Friendly Resort.
  25. Theres is a two-pet limit per site. Dogs, cats & birds are the only animals permitted.
  26. Pets are not tied outside for any length of time. The Resort does not allow excessive barking. All pets are to be leashed when outside of the RV.
  27. Pets must be vaccinated and registered with the office.
  28. Pets are not allowed in any of the community buildings or amenity areas. Pets are not allowed in the pool area.
  29. Pets may roam freely in the fenced dog park only. 
  30. Guests are responsible to “clean up” after their pets.
  31. You must obtain approval from the Front Office to put up a pet fence or pen.
  32. Pets are allowed to walk within 5 feet of the road in green spaces only. Do not allow your pet on other sites for any reason.
  33. The laundry room has a designated washer/dryer for pet laundry.
  34. Discharging firearms is strictly prohibited.  Fireworks of any kind are not allowed.
  35. Open fires are not allowed on sites. Fire must be in designated fire ring only located in the green space on corner of Leisure & Palm Lane. Propane grills and propane fire pits are allowed.
  36. No solicitation. No sales or display of goods allowed at the site.
  37. Business signs may not be displayed in the park unless they were permanently attached to vehicle before entering. 
  38. No pets, smoking or vaping allowed in the pool area.
  39. The pool is open from 9am – dusk.
  40. There is no Lifeguard on duty in pool area, use at your own risk.
  41. The speed limit is 10 mph throughout the entire Resort.
  42. Guests on Member Sites may be absent from their site for 7 consecutive nights with prior notification to the Front Office.
  43. Guests on Park Sites may be absent for 16 consecutive nights with prior notification to the Front Office.

Lodging and Water Related Activities Waiver

I understand the rules and rental conditions upon which I am renting accommodations, equipment and using the rest of the associated property, lodging and use of the swimming/bathing facilities, and Clubhouse. The sole responsibility for my safety lies with me. In agreeing to this, I acknowledge that outdoor and water activities and exposure to the natural elements and animals can be dangerous and sometime result in injury and even death. Water facilities contain inherent risks, animals and insects can threaten and infect or injure, exposure to the elements can cause hypothermia, sunburn, among other risks inherent in participating in outdoor and water activities.

​I hereby assume all legal responsibility for bodily injury to myself or any other person and property because of my visit to the Florida SKP Resort and use, operation or possession of equipment hired or loaned to me. Acknowledging this, I accept complete responsibility for myself and my visit to Florida SKP Resort and associated properties and engage in activities or events at Florida SKP Resort at my own risk.

I will abide by the rules and accept the rental conditions:

I. The property I rent will be returned in the same condition in which it was rented, and I will be responsible for all damage or loss that occurs during my rental period. 

II. I agree to hold harmless and to indemnify Florida SKP Resort and its directors and officers, against all loss, damage, expense and penalty on account of personal injury or property damage to the undersigned, howsoever rising, whether by act or acts or failure to act of the employees or animals of the said company or not.

III. I acknowledge receipt of the property in good order and condition and further agree that Florida SKP Resort and its board of directors, officers and staff shall not be liable for consequential damages of any kind or nature from whatever cause arising, whether property or equipment is loaned or rented.

IV. I enter into agreement freely with Florida SKP Resort at my own risk, acknowledging the risks inherent in outdoor and fitness center activities and assume all responsibility for myself.

V. All parties agree to and will comply with Federal, State and County pollution laws and any other applicable laws and regulations.

VI. I understand and agree that Florida SKP Resort does not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature. 

VII. All damage to the site, whether caused by myself, my children, guests or pets, will be disclosed to the Front Office immediately. All damage occuring to the site during my stay will be charged to my credit card after a thorough inspection has been carried out by Florida SKP Resort Management. Damages for which I will be responsible include but are not limited to: damages to shed, concrete, trees, shrubbery, light poles, and or electrical meters or pedestals.
