Grand Haven RV Resort

General Policies and Information:

• Alcoholic Beverages:  Acceptable in moderation on your site only
• Cabins and Cottages:  No smoking and no pets allowed inside or around cabins/cottages
• Campsites:  One camping unit per site  
• Check In Time:  Check in is 3 pm. If you arrive between 1-3pm there is a $10 early check in fee (no arrivals prior to 1pm). Early check in is based on availability and NOT guaranteed. Sorry, there is no early check-in for lodging units (cabins/cottages/lodges/house etc.)
• Check Out time:  Lodging Units -- 11am.  Campsites -- 12pm check out. No refunds for shortened stays
• Drug Use: Strictly Prohibited. Marijuana is legal but we don't want to hear about it, know about it and certainly don't want to smell it. This is a family friendly campground and our private property.
• Dump Station: Free for registered guests
• Fires:  Only in fire rings - which may not be moved. Please do not place grills on picnic tables
• Firewood:  Available for sale at the camp store. Due to the potential spread of disease, no outside firewood may be brought into the campground. Our trees are one of our biggest assets onsite and we can't risk it.
• Garbage:  Place in plastic bags and deposit in dumpster near the exit. There is no trash service. Please clean up your site when you leave. No trash in fire rings
• Go Karts: $5 per person
• Golf Carts: Available for daily rent at the camp store
• Guns and Fireworks:  Keep them at home, they are not allowed
• Hammocks: Available for daily rent at the camp store
• Honey Wagon: Available upon request, coordinate at camp store
• Laundry: Available on site
• Linen Service: Available upon request
• Mini Golf: $5 person for 18 holes, kids 4 and under free with a paying adult
• Parking:  Do not park your vehicle(s) on an unoccupied site. All vehicles must have a pass - vehicles without a pass will be towed at the owner's expense. Off site parking for something like a boat trailer may be offered for a fee but is not guaranteed
• Pets: Must be well behaved, quiet, under control, and on a leash at all times. Please clean up after them and never leave them unattended. Dogs are $3.00/dog per day with a max of 5 dogs per site and are not allowed in any building or the pool area
• Pets and Rental Units: Absolutely no dogs allowed in or around our lodging units (Cabins/Cottages). If you are staying in a lodging unit, make other accommodations for your pet.  $200/day fine for having a dog in or around your unit. Management reserves the right to blacklist customers who do not follow this policy
• Pets Restricted Breeds: No aggressive dogs with bite history.
• Propane: Available for sale at the camp store
• Quiet Hours:  From 10:30 pm to 8:00 am.  No loud talking, music, or disturbing your closest neighbor
• Speed Limit:  The park speed limit is 5 MPH to keep you, your kids and your pets safe
• Store Hours:  Listed in your arrival packet or posted at the store
• Swimming: Parents - supervise your children at ALL times. There are NO LIFEGAURDS ON DUTY – SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK  
• Tents: Two tents max on tent sites, one additional tent allowed on lodging and RV sites.
• Visitors:  Day guests are $5 per person per day and $10 per person overnight visitor (children 4 and under are free). Day visitors must exit the resort by 10 pm. All visitors must stop at the office or camp host to register. Vehicle passes are required.
• Washrooms:  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Please help us keep the washrooms clean
• We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave (without a refund) for inappropriate behavior:  excessive noise, disrespect of property and staff, failure to follow above policies, etc.

Reservation/Cancellation Policies:

• All reservations must be paid in full at time of booking
• Waiver signer must be 21 years or older
• If cancellation is made at least 30 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will incur a $25 cancellation fee
• If cancellation is made between 15-29 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will receive a 50% refund
• If cancellation is made within 14 days of reservation date, no refund will be given

Liability Waiver:

Acknowledgment of Risks

By signing the terms and conditions, I acknowledge that I am at least 21 years of age and that my participation in camping and related outdoor activities at Grand Haven RV Resort involves inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to:

• Uneven terrain and trip hazards
• Wildlife encounters
• Campfires and open flames
• Weather-related hazards (e.g., storms, tornadoes, flooding)
• Use of tools, grills, or recreational equipment
• Insect bites and allergic reactions
• Falling branches or trees
• Water-related risks if near lakes, rivers, ponds, or pools

Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risk of personal injury, illness, property damage, or death that may result from participation in activities at the campground, including participating in go karts, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Release and Waiver

In consideration of being allowed to enter and use the campground, I hereby:

• Release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Grand Haven RV Resort, its owners, employees, volunteers, agents, or affiliates (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability for any injury, death, loss, or property damage arising out of or in connection with my use of the campground and participation in related activities.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities brought as a result of my stay, and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.

Additional Terms for RV Guests

I acknowledge that bringing a recreational vehicle (RV) onto the premises entails additional risks, including but not limited to:

• Fire hazards from propane or electrical malfunctions
• Dump station or sewage mishandling
• Damage to the RV from uneven ground, trees, or other natural obstacles
• Damage caused by my RV to the property of others or the campground

I am solely responsible for the proper operation, parking, maintenance, and security of my RV and its contents. The campground is not liable for damage, theft, or accidents involving RVs or any other vehicles.

Additional Terms for Pet Owners

If I bring one or more pets onto the premises:

• I accept full responsibility for my pet(s) and any harm or damage caused by them.
• I will keep all pets leashed or contained at all times unless in designated off-leash areas.
• I agree to clean up after my pets and dispose of waste properly.
• I understand that aggressive or disruptive animals may result in removal from the campground without refund.
• I release the campground from any liability related to injuries to or caused by my pet(s).

Extended Stay Guests

If my stay exceeds 14 consecutive days or otherwise qualifies as an “extended stay” under campground policies:

• I understand that I remain a temporary guest and not a tenant or resident.
• I will comply with all campground rules, policies, and any additional agreements or fees required for long-term stays.
• I understand that failure to follow rules may result in termination of my stay without refund.
• I acknowledge that extended stays may require periodic inspection or communication from campground management.

Minors

If I am signing on behalf of a minor(s), I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and that I have the authority to sign this waiver on their behalf. I accept all risks associated with their participation and agree to all terms above for the minor(s).

General Provisions

• This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
• If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
• This document represents the entire agreement and supersedes any prior understandings, whether written or oral.

By signing below, Registered Guest/Participant (and/or guardian) affirms that they have read and fully understood this Agreement, are at least 21 years of age, or are the parent/legal guardian of a minor Participant or hosting a visitor/participant on their site, and voluntarily accept and agree to all terms herein.
