Historic Hope Cafe & Campground, Hope, Alaska

HISTORIC HOPE CAFE & SEAVIEW BAR CAMPGROUND AND RV PARK INFORMATION

•Check in time is 4PM; Check out time is 11AM. Early check in and late check out cannot be guaranteed.  If you will be arriving in the Hope area early, please make plans to park elsewhere until check-in at 4PM, as we have limited overflow parking.

• While we do our very best to fulfill all guests' requests for specific sites, group arrangements, etc, we cannot guarantee accommodation of all.  Thank you for your support as we work with all of our guests and neighbors to achieve the best Seaview experience for Everyone :)

• All campsites and RV sites have a maximum overnight capacity of four people.  Groups larger than four people (with the exception of families with multiple young children) per site will incur an additional cost up to the cost of the original site reservation due to the resultant increased wear-and-tear on our property. Thanks for understanding.

RV SITES

• RV sites #1-15 offer 30 AMP electric hookups; sites #1-6 are back-in sites on the west side of Main Street (Resurrection Creek side of the road, across from the Seaview) and sites #7-15 are pull-through sites in the center of the parking lot on the east side of Main Street (Seaview side).  Guests are solely responsible for capably understanding and safely operating their RV electric hookups while in our park; please re-familiarize yourself with this information prior to your arrival at the Seaview.  For everyone's safety, staff are not allowed to assist guests with their electric hookups.  Our electric-powered RV sites offer 30 AMP hookups, and power usage over the 30 AMPs provided can trip your breaker.  You will be held responsible for any costs/loss of property/injuries incurred due to inappropriate or unsafe electricity use.

• RV sites #17-25 are unpowered back-in sites on the east side of the parking lot (Girdwood side)

• RV site reservations include overnight parking for one RV (or a single tow vehicle with one camper).  The tight turns in our small park are challenging to navigate in a large RV for even the most experienced drivers and tow-behind vehicles must be disconnected prior to parking your RV.  Pease double-check that the size of the RV site type that you reserved will comfortably accommodate the dimensions of your rig!

• One pop-up tent may be erected within each RV site free-of-charge; additional pop-ups or any sleeping tents set up on RV sites will incur the additional cost of lawn site tent reservation due to the resultant increased wear-and-tear on our property. Thanks for understanding.

 • Up to two registered overnight pet guests are welcome per campsite.  Pets must be leashed and attended at all times and pets are never allowed in the cafe, bar, nor on the deck/outdoor dining areas.  We really mean this and we appreciate all of our human guests and pet guests appropriately respecting each others' space! Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up their pets' waste every time.  All pets visiting our property must be up-to-date on all required vaccinations. Management reserves the right to immediately evict guests and their pets for any reason at any time.

CANVAS TENT SITES

Canvas tent sites #A-E offer a concamping for one sleeping tent (maximum 4 people). One pop-up tent may also be set up with each lawn site reservation for an additional fee of $20 due to the resultant increased wear-and-tear on our property. Thanks for understanding.

• The Kenai Peninsula is an environment critically sensitive to wildfires. With this risk in mind, ground fires and open burning are never allowed on company property.  Controlled campfires are permissible in raised firepits only; guests may rent these for $20 or bring them from home.  It is our guests’ responsibility to strictly observe all rules pertaining to campfire safety and burn bans.  Current fire risk conditions are posted at https://dnr.alaska.gov/burn/fireareas/kenai-kodiak.

• Smoking is not allowed in canvas tents.  If evidence of smoking (as determined by management) is observed in a canvas tent either during your stay or afterward, your credit card on file will be charged an additional cleaning fee of at least $100 without further notice.

• It is unsafe for both humans and animals to interact with Alaskan wildlife.  Please do not disturb any wildlife under any circumstances!  To prevent bears, coyotes, eagles, ravens, and other scavengers from endangering our park guests, please never leave food or waste unattended or trash out in the open.  Should anyone in your campsite participate in any unsafe or inappropriate activities regarding wildlife, you will be immediately evicted from the Historic Hope Café & Campground.  Please help keep our campground safe and the wildlife wild!

• Discharging fireworks and firearms is strictly prohibited in our park. (Fireworks are banned by law on the entire Kenai Peninsula).  The prohibiting of firearms includes but is not limited to all guns including air soft, BB, pellet, and "toy" guns. If any these items are seen on our property, any associated guests will be immediately evicted without a refund. We have a ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY for any forms of fireworks or firearms displayed on our property.
