Humboldt County Fair RV Park & Campground, Ferndale, California
OCCUPANT PERIOD OF STAY LIMITATIONS:
- 24+1-day extended stay maximum. Renewal for extended stay must be approved by Fair Management seven (7) days prior to end date of original agreement. In no event shall an Occupant of the Park be permitted to occupy any space for thirty (30) consecutive days or longer without the express written consent of the Humboldt County Fair Management.
RV REQUIREMENTS:
- All vehicles must have current registration.
- All vehicles must be capable of moving immediately.
- No recreational vehicles older than 15 years will be permitted to enter the Park without written approval from Humboldt County Fair Management.
- Camp vehicles and tents must be clean and serviceable. Tarps, duct tape, boarded windows, etc. are not permitted.
- Trailers MUST be accompanied with tow vehicle. RVs must be immediately drivable using its own power.
GENERAL OCCUPANCY RULES:
- Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. No generators at any time.
- Fairgrounds will not tolerate noisy and/or violent domestic disturbances or any behavior that violates the tranquility of the park. Violators will be asked to vacate immediately.
- Any evidence or reports of drug related activity will not be tolerated. Police will be informed and violators will be removed from the grounds.
- Campers will be assigned a campsite and a utility post. Camper or tent and one vehicle are permitted in each site. Additional vehicles must be parked in parking lot and away from the fence. If an additional utility post is required, campers will be charged $35/day. All camp equipment must be contained within the designated site.
- Obtain office permission for package delivery. Use of fairgrounds address for personal mail is prohibited.
- Clutter, sprawl, laundry, etc. not permitted at campsite.
- Waste water must be dumped at dump station.
- No ground fires. Portable fire pits are permitted. Cooled ashes must be collected in fire safe container and disposed of in dumpster. Please check with camp host before disposing.
- Do not clean fish in campsite or dispose of waste in dumpster.
- No washing of dishes, dogs or laundry in restrooms. Do not hang laundry at camp site.
- No vehicle repairs or washing vehicles on the premises.
GUEST AND CHILDREN
- Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Visitors must park outside the park in assigned visitor parking. No visitors after 10:00pm
PETS:
- Pets must be on leash. No aggressive or noisy dogs. We have several “Mutt Stations” on site so please clean up after your pet.
- Dogs and other pets may not be left unattended outside of RV. There is a maximum of 2 pets per site. Pets must be attended and leashed at all times and may not be left unattended regardless of the condition of weather. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet every time.
FAIRGROUND RENTAL EVENTS:
- Humboldt County Fair can accommodate most campers without reservations most of the year. However, some events, including August fair, restrict availability of camp sites. Organizations that rent fairgrounds including campground take priority over all other camp activities. Campers may be asked to leave the fairgrounds for some events.
GROUNDS FOR REMOVAL OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLE WITHOUT JUDICIAL HEARING:
- If an occupant fails to pay for his or her occupancy in the Park or fails to comply with the rules and regulations set forth in this Agreement, the Humboldt County Fair reserves the right, after providing the occupant with 72 hours prior written notice in accordance with Section 799.56 of the Civil Code, to have the recreational vehicle removed from the Park to the nearest secured storage facility.
- In the event an occupant’s recreational vehicle is removed from the Park by the Humboldt County Fair, the occupant shall contact the Ferndale Police Department at 707-786-4025.
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
- All guests/visitors assume all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping in a rustic outdoor environment including specifically (but not limited to ), the danger of being injured or killed by insects or other animals, of being injured while participating in recreational activities, such as outdoor sports at the campground and/or being injured as a result of inclement weather conditions, and agrees that the Humboldt County Fair Association and its owners, agents and employees are not liable for injuries or property damage resulting from such risks and danger.
- All guests/visitors further understand and acknowledge that the Humboldt County Fair Association does not provide emergency service personnel. In the event of an emergency, guests should call 9-1-1.
- Accordingly, by entering the Park, each guest or visitor agrees to waive, expressly assume the risk of, release and will hold harmless and indemnify the Humboldt County Fair Association, as well as their agents, employees or contractors for any damages, injury or death to you or your property that may occur for any reason whatsoever as a result of, arising out of, or relating to your presence on in or around the Park at any time for any reason whatsoever, even if said damage, injury or death occurs solely or partially as a result of negligence of the Park or their agents, employees or contractors, regardless of the time such negligence may have arisen or occurred. This release applies to you, your heirs, assigns, successors and guests.
AFFIRMATION
As a Guest of Humboldt County Fair RV Park, I fully understand and accept the rules and any other rules and /or regulations that may be posted in the park. I also agree to vacate the premises at the request of management if I violate any rules or regulations without a refund of any prepaid fees. This agreement does not constitute a landlord/tenant agreement. Payment for sites is entirely for services rendered under a host/guest arrangement. Humboldt County Fair Association is not responsible for lost, stolen or damage items.
