Terms & Conditions

  • When booking a site, if you don’t pay the lock fee, we reserve the right to change your site to another site equal to the services you had originally booked.

  • Please check-in at the office before entering the campground.

  • For Campsites, check-in is 1pm.  For the cabins, check-in is 3pm and check-out for all sites is 11am. Early check-in or late departure is subject to a fee and availability.

  • Quiet hour is 11:00pm to 7:00am. Excessive noise is prohibited at any time.

  • If you have any visitors/guests visit you during your stay, they need to register at the front office and are expected to leave by 10:00 p.m. Cost to visit is $3.00 per person. Overnight guests will be charged $5.00 per person. We do not allow any new visitors after 8:00 p.m. If you think you will have guests during your stay with us, please make them aware of this policy.  Visitors/guests must park by the campground store.

  • Pets are more than welcome at this campground however we do strictly enforce our animal policy. Please keep your pet tied or on a leash, do not leave your pet alone for extended periods of time and have it refrain from excessive barking. Clean up after your pet regardless of where it may have left its droppings in the campground.  Pets are not permitted in our buildings.  You must be in control of your pet at all times. Pets are not allowed in the glamping cabins.

  • Children must not drive bicycles past dusk and helmets are to be worn at all times while riding a bicycle.

  • Wifi is available in certain areas of the campground.  Please be considerate of other campers, don’t stream videos, and when you are not using the internet, please disconnect.

  • Generators are not permitted at any time (unless there is a power failure then they would be permitted from 8am to 8pm).  If you need to have electricity for your stay, please reserve a site that has electricity.

  • Drinking and driving, excessive drunkenness, obnoxious, dangerous, illegal, violent, threatening behaviour or substance abuse is not tolerated in the park. Please keep consumption of alcohol and marijuana to your campsite. Please be considerate and respectful to your neighbours and park employees.

  • There are no tents permitted in the full hook up area.

  • RV’s, trailers, tents and anything left in the campground is at the owner’s risk. Hyclass Ocean Campground is not responsible for any damage incurred during your stay.

  • No fires are permitted between 8am and 2pm.  After 2pm please verify and follow the restriction level for Antigonish County at novascotia.ca/burnsafe   Please use fire pit provided, and do not relocate fire pits as the water and electric lines run very close to the surface and heat from fire may damage these lines as well as damage the property. Any damage caused from a relocated fire pit will be the responsibility of the registered guest of that site. Firewood is available at the campground store.  Do not cut any trees in the woods for campfires. Do not leave your campfire unattended. We ask you not to transport wood into the campground from more than 80km away.

  • All garbage and recyclables should be deposited into the bins located throughout the campground. Leaving any garbage on site/ or in fire pits will result in a $25 charge. We ask that you not burn plastics or garbage in your fire pit.

  • Parents are responsible for their children or other children under their supervision.Children are to be on a lot by dusk or 10pm whichever comes sooner.

  • The beach is swim at your own risk.There are no lifeguards on duty.  We recommend the use of water shoes. Please do not take glass to the beach.  Children must be supervised.

  • Fireworks are not permitted in the campground.  We are a pet friendly park, and fireworks scare most pets.

  • No one without a valid driver’s license may drive in the campground. We do not allow ATV's, off road or unlicensed vehicles to be driven in the campground.

  • Please do not wash vehicles or RV's in the campground we are on a well.

  • Only one vehicle per site permitted. Extra parking by the store, or the outhouses. Please do not park on any site but your own designated site.

  • Please obey the posted speed limit. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the campground with no refund.

  • You will be responsible for any damages to campground property caused by you, your child, your pet or your visitor.

  • Please do not put mats on grass sites.  They kill the grass which makes dirt, and dirt equals mud.

  • There are to be no more than 2 tents per site.

  • Showers are pay showers. They take  $1 Canadian coin (loonie) Please keep in mind we are on a well. 

  • For our glamping cabins: No furniture or bedding can be taken out of the cabins, you may not put up a tent to sleep additional people on the cabin lot.  Please let us know if you would like to rent a tent site close to the cabins.  Pets are not allowed in the cabins.
