Terms & Conditions
Jackson Lake Park, Canal Winchester, Ohio
Cancellation Policy
A minimum cancellation fee of $20 will be processed for all reservation cancellations (this excludes venue rentals).
While we hope you'll be able to honor your reservation and come camp with us, we understand that sometimes things change.
If you need to cancel, please contact us during office hours at 614-837-2656.
Please be aware that we do not accept cancellations by text or email. You may leave a voicemail, please include your reservation number and stay information.
Whenever possible, we will try to change the dates of your campsite reservation. We can do this one time without incurring any cancellation fees (if availability allows), but will need a specific date to associate your reservation with; we cannot credit your deposit without a date. Understand prices fluctuate, and you will be responsible for paying any additional balances due for the reservation dates you have chosen.
Alcohol
State regulations allow for the quiet enjoyment and consumption of alcohol. Intoxicated guests will be asked to return to their sites immediately and may be required to vacate the premises.
Bath Houses
Please remember that while we do our best to keep our bathhouses as clean as possible, they are public shared spaces. Please clean up after yourself and be courteous to other guests.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in for Cabins, RV sites, and Tent sites starts at 3 PM EST.
Check-out for Cabins, RV sites, and Tent sites is no later than 11 AM EST.
Venues (Pavilions & Parkview Hall) are available to rent from 11 AM and must be cleared by 8 PM EST.
Our venues are rented "all in". We do not offer partial-day discounts. An extension of the rental time frame may be possible, upon management discretion, for an additional fee. No discounts are offered for non-use of any space within the Pavilions or Parkview Hall.
Guests who choose to check out early will not receive a refund for the unused portion of their stay.
We do not permit early check-ins or late check-outs for cabins. Please do not arrive early, and plan to have your belongings packed and cabin key turned in to the front desk by 11 AM on your departure date so that we may ensure the cabin is cleaned properly for the next incoming guest.
If you wish to check into an RV or tent site early, please call our office the morning of your arrival to inquire about availability. We do not guarantee early check-in, and often can not accommodate these requests. If we are able to do so, there will be an early check-in fee additional to the base rate stay charges.
We likewise do not guarantee a late check-out until you arrive. This is subject to availability. There are absolutely no late check-outs on Fridays and Saturdays, nor on holiday weekends. If we are able to accommodate a late check-out on your departure date, there will be a late check-out fee additional to the base rate stay charges.
Damage & Cleaning Fees
Damage made by guests to their site or the facilities is their responsibility, and there may be fees incurred. Please do not use outdoor carpets or rugs on grass, as they may kill the underlying grass within hours. Refrain from smoking in any buildings on the property, and dispose of any cigarette butts and the like in the designated cigarette bins. Do not cut or trim trees. Please inform the campground team as soon as possible of any defective equipment or damage you may find on the campground so that we may repair it in a timely fashion.
Cabins, pavilions, and lodges that require excessive cleaning or maintenance following your stay or venue rental may incur additional charges. Reservations for these accommodations require an active credit card to be on file. If you are staying Long Term, Monthly or Seasonal you are responsible for your site to stay maintained from weeds and mowing and all trash.
Dishes
Dishes may be washed outside at any water spigot. Please do not wash dishes in the bathrooms.
Firearms, Fireworks, & Weapons
The display or use of fireworks, firearms, or other weapons is not permitted. Guests who break this rule will be required to leave and no refund will be issued.
Fires & Firewood
Due to the prevalence of wood-boring insects in the area, we ask that guests do not bring wood to the park from other locations. Firewood is available for purchase at our camp store.
Please remember that you are camping on private property. Do not cut or strip bark from any tree, living or dead. If you have cut down or damaged one of our trees, you will be charged $50 per inch of trunk diameter 12 inches above the ground to replace the destroyed trees.
Gray Water & Dumping
Ohio State Law prohibits the drainage of sink or shower water ("gray water") onto the ground. You must use a sewer seal when at sewer sites. No draining of tanks into an uncovered, unsealed container. Use an RV dump hose at the dump station.
Pets
Two dogs maximum per site. Pets must be kept on a leash any time they are outside, and must not be left unattended. A person attending to the pet must be capable of holding the weight of the pet should the pet pull on the leash or tether. Continuous barking and aggressive behavior are not permitted and pets displaying such behavior will be required to be removed from the park. Please be considerate and clean up after your pet immediately. There are doggy waste stations throughout the park for convenience. Pets are not permitted in our buildings, bath houses, pavilions, playgrounds, or lake and pool areas.

Children under 14 years of age are not to use the pool without adult supervision. Health department regulations require that children in diapers wear a swim diaper in order to enter the pool.
No alcohol, smoking, pets, or glass in the fenced pool area.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are between 11 PM and 8 AM daily. All children (under 18 years of age) are to be on their site during quiet hours.
Security
Please display your vehicle pass visibly on your rearview mirror or in the windshield. For your security, all vehicles without a pass will be stopped, and parked vehicles without a pass may be subject to being towed at the owner's expense.
Site Requests (Site Lock)
Guests have the option of "locking in" a site to be guaranteed to them for their reservation, for an additional site lock fee. JLP team reserved the right to change sites as needed to resolve scheduling conflicts. Reservations not reflecting the paid site lock are subject to be changed to a different site of equal or greater value and with comparable or better amenities.
Please note the site lock fee is an additional charge beyond the daily base rate and is non-refundable. If a reservation with a site lock fee is canceled, that fee will be forfeited.
Smoking & Tobacco
State regulations prohibit smoking in any of the buildings on the property, including but not limited to the bath houses, the camp store, pavilions, and lodgings. This also includes the pool and lake area. Cigarette bins are located outside the shared facilities for convenience. Please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground, and be sure to extinguish all smoking material completely before disposing of them.
Recreational drugs, including marijuana, are not permitted on campground property. Intoxicated guests or guests found with paraphernalia will be asked to dispose of such items immediately and may be required to vacate the premises.
Vehicles
All vehicles must display a parking pass at all times while within the park. Please park only one vehicle per site; additional vehicles must also display parking passes and be parked in designated parking areas and may be subject to additional fees. No washing of RVs or vehicles within the park, as our water supply can become critical during peak demand. Please no: vehicle maintenance, driving over the posted 10MPH speed limit, creating heavy dust, unlicensed drivers, motorbikes (dirt bikes), or unnecessary driving within the park.
Please keep your vehicles, including cars, golf cars, motorcycles, trucks, and anything else with wheels off the grassy or landscaped area around the park. This includes the playground area, pavilion spaces, grass on the campsites, and areas near bathhouses.
Parking on another campsite is not permitted, regardless of the site's occupancy status.

All drivers and passengers should remain seated, this includes keeping passengers seated on the back of the golf cart at all times. Guests are not permitted to hang off of the golf cart at any time while on the property.
Guests will respect their neighbors and be aware of quiet time while traveling after hours.
All drivers must stay on the road at all times. Drivers are not permitted to drive through sites or common areas on the property.
We only permit ATVs owned by Jackson Lake Campground & Park, LLC in the Park, due to insurance and liability concerns.
Guest ATVs may not be removed from their trailer.
Visitors to Sites
"Visitors" is defined as any persons not registered with the guest's party at check-in. Please have all visitors register at the office upon arrival. Visitor fees apply and must be paid at the time of registration. Visitors must depart from the park no later than 9 PM. Guests are responsible for their visitors. Visitors' vehicles must be parked in the designated parking areas and have a visitor pass displayed visibly on the rearview mirror or on the windshield. All vehicles without a pass will be stopped, and parked vehicles without a pass may be subject to being towed at the owner's expense.
WiFi
Wifi is available throughout the park and is a pay-to-connect service provided via Skyweb. As there are a large number of people using the system during peak times, please refrain from streaming video, television, or movies and using video chat services during your stay.
