Please keep all vehicles on the roadside of the campsite table and refrain from driving or parking on the riverside of the Campsite. Ensure the front of your RV Box or Motorhome Bumper aligns with the front of the RV Pedestal. Parking Trailers and Motorhomes behind the pedestal is not permitted.

*RV’s failing to comply with these guidelines will be required to reposition, regardless of whether the setup is completed.

PROPERLY DISPOSE OF WASTEWATER

The Campground is located within the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone. Texas law prohibits the release of grey water into or near lakes, streams, and other bodies of water. Therefore, per the requirements of the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality (T.C.E.Q.), dumping of any harmful or toxic substances is prohibited within the campground and river areas. It is imperative to empty all wastewater, including dishwater, into the Dump Station to prevent ground and river pollution. Please use the Dump Station for ALL Waste Water.

*Outdoor Showers, Sinks, & Portable Toilets are not permitted.

RV WASTEWATER: RV’s discharging wastewater on the premises while camping will be subject to a minimum fine of $100. Persistent wastewater discharge during the stay will lead to immediate expulsion from the campground and revocation of future reservations. TOXIC CHEMICALS: The utilization of poisons, pesticides, and salt is strictly prohibited. Discovered application of these substances will incur a minimum fine of $100 for remedial actions.

DO NOT DUMP ASH, OIL, OR GREASE ON THE GROUND OR TREES

Please ensure that any ash from personal fire pits is disposed of in the designated ground pit within your campsite. Any oil or grease used for cooking must be put into a sealed container and placed in the dumpsters provided throughout the campground. *A minimum fine of $100 will be imposed for any dumping of ash, grease, or oil found on your campsite upon departure.

SPEED LIMIT = 5 MPH

The speed limit within the campground is five miles per hour. We kindly request all visitors to adhere to this limit and drive at a slow pace to minimize the creation of dust. Please exercise caution as there may be children at play. This policy is implemented to ensure the safety of all park users, including children and wildlife. Failure to comply with this speed limit will result in a warning. Repeated offenses will necessitate the request for the offending party to vacate the premises. Ensuring the safety of our guests is our top priority.

WILDLIFE

Please Be Kind to the Wildlife. Do Not Chase, Throw Objects, or Capture. Please do not allow children to chase wildlife. Report mistreatment of wildlife to our office or a campground ranger.

Please be mindful of the local wildlife and your surroundings. The campground is situated in a natural river valley area surrounded by forested habitats. Some of our local wildlife include deer, raccoons, foxes, opossums, skunks, owls, hawks, geese, turkey vultures (buzzards), reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, and arachnids. Wildlife may enter a campsite at any time in search of food. We encourage all guests to securely store all food and dispose of any trash in the dumpster when away from your campsite and during the night.

FOOD: Raccoons and buzzards are our most frequent mischievous wildlife guests. They will eagerly consume anything you have left out for them. Some of their favorite foods include loaves of bread, hot dog buns, marshmallows, leftover food, and bags of trash.

BEES: Wildlife can be encountered at your campsite and in the river. Bees can be frequent guests or pests at the campsite as they are attracted to sugars and water during droughts. To prevent bees from lingering at your campsite, keep sugary drinks like sodas and food covered at all times, especially during droughts.

CAUTION: If you encounter unwanted wildlife at your campsite, such as skunks, snakes, or bees, please contact our office or inform a Camp Ranger. We are here to help in any way we can! Please be mindful of trash at your campsite and in the river. Help preserve the natural environment by disposing of small trash and litter in our dumpsters.

FISHING: When fishing, please be mindful of discarded fishing lines. Dispose of it in the trash instead of leaving it on the riverbank. Wildlife that comes to the river for a drink can get caught in the fishing line, leading to life-threatening situations.

NO LOUD MUSIC ANYTIME

Car stereos and subwoofers of any kind are prohibited.

The following items are allowed: Personal handheld portable speakers provided that they are not larger than a football.

The sound produced by these speakers should not exceed 70 decibels on either side of the campsite boundary lines.

Prohibited items include karaoke machines, speakers larger than 12 inches in any dimension, speakers heavier than five pounds,

and portable/towable speakers with carry handles or wheels.

This is a family campground; please be mindful of playing music with explicit lyrics and profanity. Be sure music is not audible beyond your campsite, as the bluff across the river can cause music to reverberate and sound louder to your neighbors. The river can carry sound further than you might realize. While we understand that music can enhance the camping experience, it's important to keep the volume at a reasonable level to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.

NO GLASS OR STYROFOAM

These products are prohibited in the River & within the Campground. Please help us protect the environment.

We kindly request that all campers dispose of their trash in the designated dumpsters each night and before departing the campground.

We want to ensure everyone visiting our campground has a clean and enjoyable experience.

Littering, including the improper disposal of cigarette butts, is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, we kindly request that campers refrain from leaving any residual food waste at their campsite, as another reservation may arrive within the next few hours. Please clean up your campsite responsibly leaving it in the same pristine condition as found for the next visitor. Dispose of all leftover food and trash in the dumpsters before leaving the campground.

This fee will be automatically charged to the credit card on file for the guest's reservation.

NO UNLICENSED VEHICLE TRAFFIC

Please be advised that the use of unlicensed vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility terrain vehicles (UTVs), dirt bikes, and golf carts is strictly prohibited. This rule applies to all areas within the campground.

ADDITIONAL CAMPGROUND INFORMATION

RESTROOMS

For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms are open 24/7 except for a temporary closing for cleaning at least twice daily. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean. Minor children must be accompanied by an adult when visiting restrooms and showers.

SHOWERS

Beginning in 2025, our shower facilities will no longer accept quarters.

Situated at the heart of the campground, our shower facility offers coin-operated hot showers for your convenience.

The showers undergo regular maintenance and cleaning to uphold a safe and hygienic environment for all guests. Utilization of tokens is necessary to activate the shower and can be purchased from our office or gift shop during operational hours. Kindly ensure to adjust the shower knobs if the water flow is inadequate. Additionally, regulate the shower temperature to your preference and promote water conservation by promptly turning off the faucets upon completion. We kindly request mindfulness regarding the duration of shower usage to prevent an inconvenience to other guests awaiting their turn. *TIP: Only one token is required for shower use. Adding one additional token (2 total) will increase the time from 6 minutes to 12 minutes. Report issues with the showers to our Office or a Camp Ranger.

TRASH DISPOSAL

Dumpsters are located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and place them in the dumpsters. If a dumpster is full, please find an empty one for trash and notify our office. Do not leave trash on the ground, and be sure to break down all cardboard boxes before placing them in the dumpster. We recommend disposing of bagged trash whenever your site is unoccupied (while tubing or sleeping) to prevent native wildlife, such as raccoons, opossums, and buzzards, from creating an unnecessary mess.

*Please do not dispose of canopies, grills, appliances, air-conditioning units, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in the dumpsters. Failure to follow this rule may result in charges for disposal fees.

VALUABLES & PERSONAL EFFECTS

Please remember to secure your valuables and personal items when your site is unoccupied, such as when you are tubing or sleeping. We recommend securing ice chests, tubes, kayaks, and camping equipment when you are not present on site. The park is not responsible for any loss or theft of personal belongings. Additionally, the park is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur within or around the park.

RV PARKING ASSIST

Our Camp Rangers may provide guidance in directing you to your assigned campsite. However, it remains your responsibility to ensure that the designated site is suitable for your specific Travel Trailer/RV and that no damage is caused to trees, posts, picnic tables, pedestals, or any other campground property during the positioning of your RV. By accepting assistance or direction onto a campsite, you thereby absolve KL ~ On The River, its owners, managers, team, and agents (collectively, “Campground Personnel”) from any resulting loss, liability, damage, or costs (inclusive of attorney’s fees).

ELECTRICITY

ELECTRICAL USAGE

All Guests are responsible for monitoring their electrical usage and amperage draw to avoid overloading the breakers. Please be mindful of all devices plugged into power outlets to prevent tripping breakers or causing damage to outlets and electrical wiring. Common appliances that may draw a significant amount of power include but are not limited to, electric water heaters, hot plates, griddles, deep fryers, hair dryers, curling irons, large shop fans, refrigerators, and air conditioners.

Overloading breakers may result in the loss of power from a tripped breaker, melted receptacle, or melted RV cord. It is crucial that 30A RV’s do not exceed 24 amps of usage while 50A RV’s do not exceed 40 amps, both of which should not exceed 80% of the breaker’s load capacity. Always check the amp draw on each device to avoid overloading breakers. Each pedestal has an instructional guide outlining the process of connecting your RV to shore power. Our Camp Rangers or Office Team can provide support if you require any assistance. Notice: Guests are responsible for any damages resulting from the negligent use of electricity.

*Please notify our office or a camp ranger in the event of encountering any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are strictly prohibited from diagnosing our electrical pedestals in adherence to insurance and safety regulations. Regardless of professional expertise in electrical work, legal constraints forbid guests from performing maintenance on our pedestals unless formally contracted for such services.

POWER ADAPTERS & EXTENSION CORDS

RV Extension Cords and Dog Bone adapters are not permitted.

Please use a Y-Adapter to gain 50A Service on a 30A Site (#69 - #77, #99 & #100).

*Repositioning the RV is necessary when the original power cord fails to reach the pedestal.

CONSERVE ELECTRICITY WHEN POSSIBLE

We kindly ask for your cooperation in managing your electrical usage during your stay to help conserve energy and minimize camping costs. Given the high demand for electrical appliances like fans and air-conditioning units in the extreme summer heat of Texas, we kindly request that you be mindful of your electricity usage and turn off fans and

air-conditioning when not in use. Additionally, if you plan to take a tubing trip or experience a local adventure, we kindly request that you turn off all radios, fans, and external air-conditioning units before leaving the park.

TENT CAMPERS: We kindly remind you that tents are not insulated; therefore, using air conditioning during the day may not provide the desired cooling effect. We respectfully request that you only use the AC when inside the tent, and remember to turn it off when you leave.

RV CAMPERS: We kindly request that you consider setting your air conditioner to an energy-efficient mode and adjusting the thermostat when not in the RV. Please be mindful that RV’s have different insulation properties than homes, which may affect the accuracy of the thermostat readings. Please allow a minimum of a 20-degree temperature difference from the current outside temperature. For instance, if it’s 100 degrees outside, the best possible temperature inside your RV will be approximately 80 degrees.

PARKING

VEHICLE PARKING

Please do not park your vehicle in the middle of the road, in areas not designated for parking, or in a manner that obstructs access to our dumpsters or gated sections.

PARKING IN VACANT CAMPSITES

Please Note: Vehicle permits grant parking exclusively at designated campsites. Additional free overflow parking is available throughout the campground. For overflow parking locations, please see our Campground Map. Parking in vacant or neighboring campsites is not permitted. Vehicles occupying vacant campsites will incur an additional fee of $100.00 per day per vehicle. Any fees accrued will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. *Visit this link for our Campground Map: https://kl-river.com/campground-map/

CHARGES FOR DAMAGES

We acknowledge that accidents are inevitable, resulting in additional expenses for the campground. Damages encompassing tables, fire pits, pedestals, electrical breakers and outlets, fencing, landscaping, retention walls, trees, signs, electric gate arms, and campground entrance and exit necessitate unwarranted repairs, some of which are highly labor-intensive. The costs for damages will be added to all reservations and must be settled prior to departure. The fee for each damage will be evaluated per incident.

WEATHER GUARANTEE

TEXT MESSAGE ALERTS

The new in-app text messaging feature provides a simple one-way texting capability, allowing guests to stay informed. All texts originate from one toll-free phone number registered with all carriers. Texts can be sent only to mobile phone numbers. Examples of texts we might utilize:

  • Water will be turned off today from 10am - 4pm.
  • Thunderstorm warning for tonight.

Messages can only be sent to guests currently in the park, checking in for the day, and within a specific date range. Opt-in during online reservations or through your reservation confirmation email. If you want to stop receiving texts, simply reply STOP to the received text message, and you will no longer receive notifications for that reservation.

DATE CHANGES

Requests for alterations or adjustments to a reservation are regarded as changes to the original reservation dates. Changes made seven days or less before arrival that reduce the number of days for your rescheduled dates will incur 100% responsibility for those removed days, as deemed in our standard cancellation policies.

*Reservations CAN NOT be changed, modified, or moved 7 days or less before arrival date.

Modifications aimed at reducing trip duration (8 days before arrival) or occupancy, resulting in a surplus credit, will result in the issuance of a Camp Credit. This credit will be allocated to the User Account and will expire within three months, commencing the next month following the issuance of the reservation credit. Credit utilization does not necessitate a visit to the park within the next three months. However, the credit must be applied to a future reservation before expiration.

CANCELLATIONS

Primary Policy: Reservations Canceled within two weeks (8-14 days) of arrival will receive camping credit, less fees. Reservations Cancelled less than one week (0-7 days) before arrival will result in the forfeiture of all paid reservation fees; refunds and/or camping credits are not available. Early departures are not eligible for refunds. No-shows and

same-day cancellations are accountable for the entire duration of the reserved stay. If a cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the scheduled arrival, the full stay amount and any applicable lock site fee will be withheld as a cancellation fee. CANCELLATIONS (continued)

Full refunds will not be issued for any bookings or stays, regardless of the timing of arrival. Cancellations are contingent upon the notice period preceding the reservation date. Cancellations must be initiated by the registered guest. Any refund processed for cancellations will be refunded in the same form that it was originally paid, or a reservation camping credit can be issued towards a future stay to be used within three months beginning the next month the reservation credit was issued; a visit to the park is not required to utilize credit, but the credit must be applied to a future reservation. If subject to a refund, your card will be credited within 5 to 10 business days. Cash refunds will not be issued for any reason.

If a reservation is canceled more than two weeks (15 days) before arrival, a full refund will be issued, less a 25% cancellation fee per campsite. Alternatively, Camp Credit can be elected. For cancellations made between 8 and 14 days before the arrival date, Camp Credit for 50% of the payment per campsite will be issued, with the remaining balance forfeited. Cancellations made 7 days or less before the arrival date will result in forfeiture of the full reservation payment. Please note that these fees apply per campsite.

CAMPING CREDIT

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another guest, and may not be applied towards Day Use or Gift Shop Merchandise. The remaining credit will not be refunded and may only be redeemed once. Guests may not cancel a reservation made with a Camp Credit and receive another credit for a future date or receive the balance on the Camp Credit in cash or credit back to a credit card. To make the most of your Camping Credit for New Reservations or Additional Nights, please get in touch with our office to apply the credit to a New or Existing Reservation. *Please Note: Our system does not currently support the direct application of Camping Credits online, but our office staff will gladly assist you.

REFUND POLICY
