LaHave River Campground

We hope you enjoy your stay at the LaHave River Campground! To help everyone do so, please abide by the following…

  • Check-in is 1pm and check-out is 11am. Check-in during office hours, and give notice if you require a late check-in. Office hours are Mon-Thurs 10am-6pm, Fri 10am-8pm, Sat 9am-8pm, Sunday 9am-4pm.
  • Our campsites are modest in size, intended for 1 RV, trailer or tent, and only 1 vehicle per campsite.
  • Camping fees are based on 1 family per campsite – up to 2 adults and 4 children. Additional campers are to pay a surcharge of $5 per adult and $2 per child per night at the office.
  • Daytime visitors are required to check in at the office, arriving before 9pm and exiting by 11pm.
  • The speed limit is 10 km / hour in the campground. Please drive very slowly with children at play.
  • Children are to be under the care of an adult. No playground or bikes after dark, and be on a site by 10pm.
  • Alcohol can be openly consumed in the campground. Drink responsibly and be mindful that this is a family campground. Disruptive or belligerent behaviour will not be tolerated, nor will drinking and driving.
  • Smoking is permitted in the campground, tobacco and cannabis. Please be respectful of your fellow campers – no smoking or vaping in any buildings on site, and please step back from the crowd to smoke at gatherings.
  • Dogs are to be under your control and on a leash at all times. Clean up after your dog, and no excessive barking.
  • Private campgrounds are subject to Nova Scotia burn ban restrictions, meaning there is no burning allowed between 8am-2pm daily. At 2pm you can check the Burn Safe website, which will tell us if we can burn at 2pm, 7pm, or not at all that day. We sell firewood during office hours, or you can bring in your own.
  • The peace of the campground is our top priority. No excessive noise at any time, and midnight is quiet time, meaning no music or loud talking. Failure to abide by this rule will result in campers being banned from LaHave.
  • Please respect the grounds and leave your campsite as you found it. Moving the location of your firepit, or leaving your firepit or campsite littered with garbage will result in a $20 fee.
  • Recycling is mandatory. Garbage, recycling, compost, cardboard and empties bins are by the exit to the park.
  • Campers are responsible for adhering to the rules, and ensuring their children, family and visitors do as well. Failure to abide by the rules and cooperate respectfully with staff will result in notice to leave without refund.
  • The business phone is on 24/7 for noise complaints, safety concerns, and emergencies: 902-644-2654
  • In the event of property damage, campers are to pay for damages and repairs.
  • No refunds will be granted, including for early departure.

Please bring any concerns or complaints to the owner’s attention as soon as possible so that they can be addressed, and your stay can be enjoyed. Thank you for camping with us! - Kalen, Jamie Lee and Tundra
