Laird's Hideaway RV Park and Pickleball Courts, Canyon Lake, Texas
Check-In / Check-Out
Check-in is at 1:00 PM for RV SITES & 3:00 PM for TINY HOMES. (Tiny Home Rules at bottom)
Check-Out is no later than 11:00AM the day of your departure for RV’s and Tiny Homes.
Late check-ins are allowed at any time, please check your EMAIL for Check-in instructions, park map and site number. Sites are marked with iridescent paint at the front of the site as well as the back of the site on the electrical outlet to make nighttime check-ins easier. Tiny homes have assigned parking. The signs have your tiny home name on them.
Site Changes
You have been assigned a specific site, if you wish to move please check your reservation and our booking site. You can check availability and change your reservation yourself through the Campspot reservation system. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.
General Park Policies
Laundry
The laundry room is open 8:00 AM- 11:00 PM. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.
Restrooms
For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning twice a week. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean, please. Guest under the age of 18 need adult supervision in the bathrooms and showers as well as laundry room.
Quiet Time Policies
Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. Anyone playing loud music will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund.
RV Condition
Tenants and Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their children and/or pets. Tenant assumes any and all risks associated with the foregoing and agrees to hold Landlord harmless from and indemnify Landlord against the same. The resort is not responsible for personal injuries or damage, loss or theft of any personal property or vehicle.
All Motorhomes, RVs or Travel Trailers must be in good working order and appearance. We reserve the right to refuse access to any guests whose vehicle is deemed to be unacceptable.
Laird’s Hideaway does not allow the delivery of mail or packages to any guests. Guests must make arrangements to have their mail or packages delivered to a third-party location for pickup.
Open Fires
Open fires are not allowed in our park. Fires must be in firepits. You must place the fire pit over the gravel or asphalt, so that the heat from it does not damage the grass.
Parking
Each site is allowed ONE car or truck. Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges. DO NOT park in grass at any time!
Storage
Storage is not allowed under or around your RV. Your site must remain clean and clutter-free or you will be charged a fee.
Site and Park Navigation
Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park. Please use main roads, sidewalks, and designated public paths to walk around the RV park.
Washing
Washing RVs or vehicles is only permitted with 1 bucket of water and a sponge. Hose washing is not permitted, as it can result in a mess and disturb your neighbors. If Hose is used to wash you will be charged a fee.
Rugs
No rugs on grass as it kills the grass and we want your site to look good for both you and the next guest.
Severe Weather
In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the bathrooms or the laundry room. We love pets, so please bring them with you and please do not leave them in your RV during severe weather warnings.
Visitors
Only registered guests are permitted to enter the park. All visitors only be in the park if preapproved by management. Visitors may not bring pets. Laird’s Hideaway RV Park reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site. Day visitors must depart by 10:00 pm CST. Overnight visitors must depart by Noon CST. Please check with the office before inviting any visitors. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all campground rules are followed.
Electrical Use
You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using in our RV. Amp usage over the 50 AMPs provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay.
Please notify the office so that we can notify maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Maintenance is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so.
Trash Disposal
Trash cans are located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container or dumpster. If the first can is full, please find another container. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Woodland creates like possums and racoons are attracted to left out or disposed of food and while we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to find a surprise night visiting racoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our trash cans. Trash is emptied once per day from cans and once a week from the dumpster. Times may vary due to maintenance scheduling requirements throughout the day.
A dumpster is available on the east side of the park closest to site 10. Please do not dispose of any motor oil, cooking oil, wires, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic or hazardous waste items. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in charges for disposal fees.
Children
Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by dusk. Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Drones
Drones are not permitted in our park. Please do not fly drones over people or RVs. There are several local area parks where drones are permitted for your enjoyment.
Clotheslines
Clotheslines are not permitted in our park.
Fireworks, Firearms, Illegal Drugs
Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibiting of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. The prohibiting of firearms includes all guns including air soft, BB, and pellet guns. If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. Use of illegal drugs is PROHIBITED.
Repairs
Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted in our park. We are happy to recommend a local Mobile RV Repair service that comes out to your site to assist you with any repairs.
Safety and Emergencies
If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call (512) 535-1515. (No soliciting is allowed.)
If you need to call 911 for any reason, and time allows, please call the office so the maintenance staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site. There is a fire department just down the street.
Vehicle Policies
Speed Limit
The park speed limit is 5 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.
Parking
Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 1 vehicle per site unless noted. There is NO additional parking in the park. Please do not park on our grass. Ruts caused in your site due to additional vehicles will result in damage charges.
Trailers, Boats, and additional vehicles will cost additional fees. They MUST be approved ahead of time as it will have to be parked next door and there is limited space. A nightly registration covers 1 RV and 1 vehicle only.
No parking in common areas. Do not park in the middle of the road. Do not park in sites that you did not register for and do not block our garages or our bathroom and laundry room doors. Parking on the grass is not permitted at RV Sites or in tent areas.
ATV’s. Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, and Golf Carts
OHV’s are welcome onsite but may not be used within the park. ONLY to get to and from your site.
Pet Policies
Leash
We ask that you keep your pets on a leash AT ALL TIMES! This helps you, your pet, and other guests and other guests’ pets stay safe.
Buildings
Pets are not allowed in the buildings the only exception is for service animals. County code laws do not allow pets in our buildings. Please do not tie your pet to our trees, doors, or posts.
Always Clean Up After Your Pet
Be a good neighbor and clean up after your pet always. Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites please. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund.
Leaving Pets Unattended
Pets may not be left unattended in our park. Please do not tie your pet to a tree and leave. Leaving your pets unattended is dangerous for your pet as many factors including weather, power outages, etc. can affect your pets well-being while you are away. This will result in you being asked to leave without a refund.
Pet Vaccinations
Due to Insurance Requirements, all pets must be vaccinated in our park. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up-to-date. Flea and tick medicine are required.
Barking
Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without refund.
Tiny Home Rules
- Max 4 guests
- Max 3 Pets
- No events unless approved by Owners.
- No smoking of ANY KIND inside the home or by the door. Butts must be thrown away and not thrown in the yard.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 8:00am.
- No confetti or glitter.
- Children cannot be left unsupervised in loft.
- Please inform us of any pets BEFORE arrival. Pet owners must read and follow the pet rules laid out below.
- Please hand wash pots and pans.
- Please only put the wine glasses on top rack of dishwasher.
- The gate closes after 90 seconds so be careful and please do not block gate.
TINY HOME PET RULES
We understand that fur babies are family too! We happily welcome four-legged friends (DOGS ONLY).
Additional criteria needed:
- $50 Fee. This fee is assessed after booking and is used for additional cleaning time required after a pet stays.
- There are two labs that reside in the main house on the front of the property. The owners have fenced in their front yard to give their fur babies a free roaming space. (If you would like to use the gazebo/grill message us, to give us a heads up.)
- Dogs must be ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES. (Only exception is if you ask to let your dog free roam in the fenced in front yard.)
- Unattended dogs must be in a crate.
- Please do not leave your dog unattended and tied to the porch.
- Please pick up your dog's waste outside.
- Please do not let dogs on furniture or bed.
- Any pet damages to the property will result in appropriate fees.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation Period:
- If cancellation is made 30 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will incur a $25 cancellation fee per site booked.
- If cancellation is made 14-29 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will receive a 50% refund.
- If cancellation is made 7-13 days in advance of the reservation start date, guest will receive a 25% refund.
- No refunds are provided for cancellations made less than 7 days in advance of the reservation start date.
Modifications:
- Changes to your reservation dates or site type are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. You can edit your reservation through Campspot.
No-Show Policy:
- Failure to arrive without prior cancellation will result in the forfeiture of the full reservation cost. Your reservation will be held till 11:00AM the day after scheduled arrival date.
Force Majeure & Refunds:
- No refunds for circumstances such as inclement weather, voluntary departure, acts of nature, evictions or, Covid-19. Only exceptions would be in extreme situations that require evacuation. Any refunds approved will be issued in the original form of payment. Refunds made via credit/debit card will be returned to the original card used for payment.
