Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct sets out the behaviours that are expected of you while you are a guest on the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation homeland in the territory of the Ktunaxa
ENJOY THIS PLACE * RESPECT THIS LAND * LEAVE NO TRACE
I promise ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation and AFN Enterprises that myself (registered guest and all of my guests, shall adhere to the Code of Conduct as follows:
I (we) will:
- Park my vehicle only on the rented site, and park all extra vehicles in designated parking areas;
- Have no additional overnight accommodation units (trailers, tents, campers, etc) parked on the rented
Site; - Respect and observe quiet time hours from 11:00 pm to 8:00 am;
- Will not operate dirt bikes and ATV’s within Lakeshore Resort and Campground boundaries;
- Leave firearms/fireworks outside the Lakeshore Resort and Campground boundaries;
- Keep boat(s) out of the public swimming area;
- Park boat(s) and/or boat trailer(s) only in the storage area of Lakeshore Resort and Campground, or off the Lakeshore Resort and Campground property all together;
- Bring all personal belongings from beach area to rented Site when such items are not in use;
- Adhere to the posted speed limits;
- Put ONLY household garbage in the provided dumpsters and all other items will be taken to the local landfill;
- Not bring pet(s) that have attacked or bitten any person or other pet onto Lakeshore Resort and Campground property;
- Always keep pet(s) on leash except in designated area;
- Always keep pet(s) off the shoreline grass area, off the beach and out of the lake water as per First Nation Health Authority rulings;
- Purchase firewood only at Lakeshore Resort and Campground office;
- Keep campfire smaller that ½ metre by ½ metre within designated areas with the exception for times that a campfire ban has been put in place by the Southeast Fire Centre and/or ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation;
- Not cut any trees within Lakeshore Resort and Campground boundaries;
- Not use any toxic chemicals on any grass and/or plants within the Lakeshore Resort and Campground boundaries;
- Will not attach anything to the trees by nails, screws or any other device which could interfere with the natural growth or health of a tree;
- Not swim nude along the shoreline of Lakeshore Resort and Campground;
- Respect the neighbors’ boundaries, ensure that vandalism and/or theft does not take place;
- Respect the Lakeshore Resort and Campground management and staff, knowing that workplace
violence of any kind will not be tolerated; - Acknowledge that trespassing outside the boundaries of Lakeshore Resort and Campground, more particularly described as Lot 217 and 223, Columbia Lake Indian Reserve #3 is by invitation only; and
- Respect and comply with any and all rules and regulations which are passed and circulated by the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation from time to time.
I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have read this Code of Conduct and understand that non-compliance to this Code of Conduct may result in fines and/or the suspension of all Site tenant privileges, and the Site rental renewal not being offered.
