Campground Rules

GENERAL

Speed limit is 5 MPH

Day use area hours: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm

The following are prohibited in the park: drinking alcohol, using fireworks or firearms, operating ATVs, cutting down or chopping trees, peeling bark from live trees or removal of plants, using chain saws (except by employees), littering, changing vehicle oil and trucks over 1 ton.

Campfires in designated fire rings or community fire ring only, no fires of any kind in RV loop.

Charcoal only in BBQ grills and no use of portable grills on tables.

Trash barrels are for park visitors use only.

Animals must be on a leash and under control at all times. Clean up after your pet. Maximum of 3 pets allowed.

Pavilions may be reserved online - if not reserved, then they may be used on a first-come first served basis.

Please park in designated parking areas only. No parking along the road system.

CAMPING

Check in is 3 pm - Check out is 11 am

Camping fee is assessed on a two tent limit per site and two vehicles per site. Additional tents and vehicles will require use of an additional site and full campsite fee will be required.

Fees are to be paid before setting up camp.

Tent camping in the RV loop at Matanuska River Park is prohibited.

Camping is limited to 14 nights. You must vacate the property for 48 hours before returning for another stay.

Quiet hours are 10:00 pm - 8:00 am

Please back into camping spaces (except pull through sites).

No animals are to be tied outside of camper or tent and left unattended.

Keep food properly stored.

Respect all campers, camp host and wildlife.
