Terms & Conditions

I, along with the guests in my party agree to abide by all of the Park Rules, including those rules and policies posted at the premises or otherwise communicated in any manner by Mirror Lake Retreat Management & Staff. 

Cancellation Policy:  Cancelations before 7 days prior to your arrival will get a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.  If you cancel within 7 days prior to your arrival, it is non-refundable.  I understand Mirror Lake Retreat does not give discounts or refunds due to early departure or the displeasure of nature.  Mirror Lake Retreat does not refund for weather.

Check-in is between 3pm - 8pm and check out is at 11am.  Early check in is not permitted.   Late check-ins are permitted, please contact the Front Desk 845-758-8764 for instructions. If you check out past 11am you will be charged an additional day. 

Parking Passes are required for all vehicles on site.

Any damage done to Mirror Lake Retreat property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular accommodation.  Any cost associated with repairs and/or replacement, and nonpayments of any services rendered during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file of the registered guest.  In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.

Pets are allowed at your RV site and in the designated pet friendly accommodations.  Pet owner must provide the Front Desk www.reservations@mirrorlakeretreat.org with proof of up-to-date vaccination records prior to check-in. There is a fee of $100 per pet due when booking your accommodation, ONLY IF YOU ARE STAYING IN ONE OF OUR PET FRIENDLY RENTAL UNITS. If you have your own RV there is no fee but we still need a copy of the up to date shot records.  The maximum pets per site are 2.  Pets must be leashed and accompanied by their owner at all times.  All pet droppings are the responsibility of the pet owner and must be properly disposed of immediately in a tied or zip locked plastic bag and placed an outside trash receptacle.  Any pet that is intimidating, destructive, dangerous, or noisy owner will be asked to leave with their pet.  No refunds or discounts will be given for the early departure.  If your pet does damage to Mirror Lake Retreat property or accommodations the credit card on file for that accommodation will be charged.  Pets are NOT allowed in any building on site except the pet friendly accommodation that you have rented this includes emotional support pets, excludes service dogs. Pets are not to be left unattended at any time.

Service Dogs:  must be registered at the Front Desk.  A Service Dog is trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Emotional support animals are considered a pet not a service dog.

Boats are included in your stay.  (seasonal  and weather permitting) Please ask for a schedule at the Front Desk.  Outside boats are not permitted because of cross contamination. A Mirror Lake staff member must be present to boat.

Climbing Tower and Archery are directed by trained staff and an additional charge is required.  Information, waiver, and fees can be paid at the Front Desk.  These activities are seasonal and weather permitting.

Firewood must be purchased on site.  Firewood cannot be brought into the campground under any circumstances to prevent the spread of invasive species.  There are fire rings at most sites.  The fire rings are not to be moved.  Burning trash is not permitted.

Visitors:  Guests are responsible for their visitors.  A visitor's pass must be purchased for guests 5yrs and up,  Unregistered guests and their hosts will be asked to leave the park.

Motorized Vehicles:  electric bikes, electric/ gas scooters, dirt bikes, minibikes, go carts, golf carts or anything of the like are prohibited.  ALL vehicles on the property must be licensed, registered, and insured on the property. We offer golf cart rental to licensed drivers only.

Mirror Lake Retreat is a family-friendly environment and wishes to promote the health and safety of al guests.  Smoking is only permitted at the guests rented site outside ONLY.  Butts must be disposed of properly. Smoking is not permitted inside any building or in public areas anywhere on the property.

Mirror Lake Retreat does not sell alcohol or serve alcohol anywhere on the campground property.  Alcohol consumption is only permitted in private areas such as your accommodation or site.  Alcohol consumption in any public area of the campground is not permitted.  

Pools or large containers filled with water used as a pool anywhere is not permitted anywhere on the grounds. Washing your vehicles at your site is not permitted.

You and your guests are expected to abide by the speed limit posted throughout the camp.

Fishing is catch and release.  Anyone 16yrs and old must have a New York State Fishing License to fish in the Lake.

Our quiet hours are 10pm - 7am.

Children under the age of 16yrs must be supervised by an adult at all times on the grounds and in the buildings. All children under the age of 16 yrs old must be at their campsite/accommodation during quiet hours of 10pm -7am

Mirror Lake Retreat has the right to require a 2 or more night minimum for reservations.

***When using the dining room food is required to stay in the dining room and cannot be taken outside of the dining room.

***Video surveillance is used throughout the camp.  Please be mindful.

Waiver for participation of all activities and all parties in your group including yourself.

Assumption of Risks, and Agreements of Release and Indemnity

In consideration of the services of Mirror Lake Retreat in offering outdoor program activities, I agree as follows: Assumption of Risks: I acknowledge that I understand the activities in which myself and/or party will be participating, and their risks. I understand that the risks are inherent in the activities - that is they cannot be eliminated without changing the nature and value of the experience.  We voluntarily assume all such risks, inherent and otherwise, and whether or not they are described above.

Release and Indemnity:

Myself and all others in my party included agree not to sue, and to release and hold harmless, Mirror Lake Retreat, its owners, staff members and Board of Directors (Released Parties) with respect to any and all claims which we may now have or acquire in the future, including claims of negligence (but not of gross negligence or intentionally wrongful conduct) arising in any way from my enrollment or participation in Mirror Lake Retreat activities.

Myself and all others in my party further agree to protect and indemnify (that is, defend and pay any judgements, costs, and attorney's fees) Mirror Lake Retreat and the other Released Parties from any claim, including a claim of negligence of a Released Party (but not of gross negligence or intentionally wrongful conduct) asserted by any third party, including (but not limited to) rescuers, other participants in the activities of Mirror Lake Retreat and members of my family (party), arising from injuries or other losses either suffered by or caused by me in connection with our enrollment or participation in an activity of Mirror Lake Retreat.

Other: in the event of illness or injury, consent is hereby given to provide emergency medical care, hospitalization, or other treatment, which may be necessary. If a suit is filed against Mirror Lake Retreat or any other released party it must be filed in the County of Dutchess, State of New York. Any such suit will be governed by the laws of the State of New York, not including those laws which may apply the laws of another jurisdiction.
