MOSS LAKE CAMPGROUND RULES AND REGULATIONS

Read Rules & Regulations before making payment or signing
1. Payment for site is due in full at time of reservation. Cancellation of reservations at least 3 days prior can be rescheduled for different available dates. Cancellations less than 3 days will be subject to a forfeiture of all fees paid.
2. License plate number and phone number must be provided at check in.
3. Quiet time is from 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.
4. No smoking allowed in bathrooms.
5. Each campsite may have only one camper. Tents must go on tent pads in designated sites.
6. Designated tent sites must be reserved and can only have one tent.
7. Only camper’s personal vehicles are allowed at the campsite. No boats or boat trailers are allowed in campground – they may be parked in parking lot overnight.
8. Pets must be penned, caged or on a leash not longer than 6 feet in length.
9. Campers must clean up after pets on all City owned property including woods and old beach area.
10. No Alcohol, Firearms or Concealed Weapons allowed on premises.
11. Campsite cannot be the camper’s permanent residence.
12. Campsites must be kept in a tidy, neat and organized way. The campsite must be orderly to avoid creating a fire hazard or causing accidents. For the sake of the campground’s appeal as an outdoor recreation experience, each campsite should remain uncluttered and as naturalistic as possible.
13. Campsites must be vacated by 12 p.m. on departure date.
14. Camper may stay on a site a maximum of 2 weeks and then can move to a different site for 2 weeks, then must leave campground for a minimum of 2 days. Maximum stay in campground of 120 days within a 365 day period.
15. Violation of these rules or any other City regulations may result in revocation of camping permits and termination of stay at camping facility. The City of Kings Mountain reserves the right to terminate the camping stay of an individual for reasons other than the ones listed above if individual’s actions are deemed improper or unacceptable. This includes the camper, member of camper’s party or guest of the camper’s party.
16. Campers are responsible for removal of trash from campsite. Campers can burn wood only in fire pits – no trash, pallets, etc. in fire pits. Fire pits cannot be moved.
17. All campers and vehicles must display valid license plates and be registered in accordance with state law.
It is highly recommended campers use PRV valves to control water pressure in campground due to high water pressure from new pump station.
