Mountain View RV Park Policy

These policies have been established to provide the comfort, enjoyment, safety and security of our guests as well as facilitating the operation of the resort. These policies are to ensure the efficient and successful operation of Mountain View RV Park (MVRV).

Check-in
Check-in time is 3pm. During high-season we cannot accommodate early check-ins.

Check-out
Check-out time is 11am.

Quiet Hours
This campground is designed as a family campground with most of your fellow campers trying to sleep in the evening and early mornings so please be considerate and observe the set quiet time between 11pm and 8am. Generators are not allowed to run at any time.

RV Site Occupancy
The rates for RV Sites are based on one RV, plus one tow car or one trailer/5th wheel and towing vehicle.

Tents are not permitted at full-service RV sites unless approved by Mountain View RV Park. Full service RV sites can request to pitch one tent for children (16 years and under).  The tent can’t be any larger than (7ft x 7ft) with an additional fee of $6 per night to be charged.

Tent Site Occupancy
Rates for tent sites are based on a maximum of two adults and one vehicle per site. Children (16 years and under) are free. If there are more than two adults, you will require a second site. Tent sites have a maximum of two tents.

Tent sites are not able to accommodate anything towable, including tent trailers or small trailers, you will need to book an RV site.

Termination of Stay
Mountain View RV Park reserves the right to terminate any stay without any given notice for violation of MVRV Policies. In this case Mountain View RV Park will refund any amount paid for unused days.

Deposit Policy at Time of Reservation
For daily rate reservations, the full payment will be charged to the credit card on file when you make a reservation.

Bookings more than 1 month in length require the first month of the reservation to be paid in full as a deposit to confirm the booking.

Cancellation Policy

– Daily Rate Cancellation
MVRV requires a minimum of 7 days’ notice prior to your scheduled arrival date for all daily rate cancellations and changes to existing bookings.

Changes and or cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date will be eligible to receive a full refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee.

Changes and or cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date are non-refundable.

After occupancy of a lot, no refunds will be provided on that daily rate reservation.

Note: no refunds will be given with any promotions or sales.

– Monthly Rate Cancellation
Any cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the scheduled date of arrival, will receive a full refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee.

Any cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival, will receive a 50% refund.

Early Departure
MVRV will not refund any monthly rate reservation once the month has commenced.

Ending a multi-month booking earlier than originally booked, notice must be given in writing to Mountain View RV Park staff at least 14 days prior to the end of the month. Cancellations of bookings received after this deadline will be subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee.

– Refunds on Discounted Reservations
NO refunds will be given on discounted reservations. Guests can apply the amount paid, less a $10 change fee, to a different reservation during the same calendar year.

– Reservation Date Changes
If you have to change your dates, one complimentary change may be made per booking. For additional changes, a $10.00 change fee applies. Note that this fee will not apply if you are extending your stay.

Changes made less than 7 days before arrival, that results in a reduction of the number nights on the reservation are subject to the standard cancellation policy.

Pets
Pets are welcome at MVRV. Two pets are allowed per booking and additional pets will cost a $3 fee per pet, per night. Pets must be on a leash at all times or be contained within the guest’s accommodation. Pets are not to be left unattended for long periods. Pets are not permitted inside any MVRV buildings or the playground area.  Owners are required to clean up after their pets, dog waste bags are available on site.

Accommodations
We guarantee the availability of the accommodation type booked, but we do not guarantee any particular site unless locked when booking. For peace of mind, consider locking in your site.

Long-term Stays
Long-term guests, one month or longer, are to pay electrical charges based on consumption as determined by the onsite electrical meter.  Rates charged are the same as billed to MVRV.

Wildlife
All wildlife attractants must be stored in a bear proof enclosure or in a secured vehicle anytime sites and accommodations are left unattended or at night.

Attractants include, but are not limited to: food, garbage, recycling, empty containers, coolers (full or empty), dishes (clean or dirty), stoves, and all scented items (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc).

Guests found violating this policy will be charged $100.00 by Mountain View RV Park without warning, and can be evicted without notice and/or refund.

Should any Municipal Bylaw Department or the Conservation Service attend to the property, additional fines from $200.00 to $1000.00 may be assessed. It is also possible that the Bear will have to be destroyed.

Visitors
Visitors and non-registered guests are welcome to park their vehicle on Mountain View RV Park property between 7am and 10pm, but must park only in designated guest parking areas.

Vehicles
Speed limit is 10kp/h on all laneways unless otherwise posted – please watch for cyclists, pedestrians, and children playing. Parking is permitted in designated parking areas only.

Unlicensed vehicles are not permitted to operate on the property of Mountain View RV Park.

Garbage
Guest are required to deposit all garbage into appropriate bear proof garbage containers located in convenient locations throughout the RV Park. Burning of garbage is prohibited.

Fires
Campfires are not permitted but guest provided propane fire rings are permitted. Fire Bans may be imposed at any time.

Please note that cutting trees, shrubs or branches is strictly prohibited. Please do your part to maintain our natural environment.

Water Pressure Regulators
Water pressure at the Mountain View RV Park can be 80psi and could damage your RV. We recommend the use of a water pressure regulator while hooked up to our water system. Water pressure regulators are available for purchase locally. Mountain View RV Park is not responsible for any damage to a guest’s equipment due to water pressure. NOTE: Mountain View RV Park may need to implement a no city hook up policy at any time without notice. In this case you will need to fill your holding tank when half of tank is used and use the onboard water pump in your RV.

Alcohol & Smoking
Alcoholic beverages and tobacco smoking may be consumed only within the boundaries of an occupied site, and are not permitted in public areas within the Resort. Cigarette butts are strictly prohibited on Mountain View RV Park property. Please keep your site free from any form of garbage on the ground. Any garbage including cigarette butts left after check out is subject to part or all of damage deposit being retained by MVRV.

Cannabis
The smoking or vaping of cannabis is restricted to within the guest’s accommodation, and are not permitted in public areas within the RV Park.
