Mutton Creek Marina & Campgrounds
Camping Policies
Check In / Check Out
Check in is at 3 PM CST and entitles you to your site until 3 PM the day after check in. Please call ahead to inquire for early check in. The guests who paid for the site the night before you have paid for their site until 3 PM. We will not ask a guest to leave so that you can check in early. If you will be arriving in the area early, please make arrangements until your site opens up at noon. We do not have a waiting area for those checking in early. Check out time is 3 PM. You do not need to contact the office for check out, unless you need to pay any balance due.
Late check-ins are allowed at any time, please just contact the park for instructions.
If you do not have a reservation ahead of time, please check in at the marina first before setting up on a site.
Occupancy
All sites are one family (2 adults) with children under 18 years old. Additional people are permitted with approval for $5.00 per person, per night.
Site Changes
You have been assigned a specific site, if you wish to move please check with the office. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.
Open Fires
Open fires are not allowed in our park. Fires must be in designated fire rings. Please keep fire rings/pits over the gravel, so that the heat from it does not damage the grass. Please do not put trash and/or aluminum cans in fire ring- throw it away in the trash!
Trees
Please do not cut trees or shrubs in the park. We also ask that you do not hang gas lanterns from trees; the heat will kill the tree!
Parking
Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.
Storage
Storage is not allowed under or around your RV or picnic table.
Site and Park Navigation
Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk through other guest’s sites when navigating the park.
Washing
Washing RVs or vehicles is NOT permitted.
Fishing and Swimming
Fishing from and around docks is permitted for yearly boat slip holders ONLY! There is no fishing allowed from the bank anywhere near the marina, docks, and restaurant. Fishing and swimming are prohibited at the boat ramp.
Fish Cleaning
Please DO NOT clean fish anywhere in the campground! Inquire at the marina for designated fish cleaning station location.
Pet Policies
Leash
We ask that you keep your pets on a leash at all times. This helps you, your pet, and other guests and other guests’ pets stay safe.
Cleaning Up After Your Pet
Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites please. Please do not let them deposit waste in any parking and/or other high traffic areas either- be considerate of others! Please be respectful and clean up after your pet(s)!
Leaving Pets Unattended
Pets may not be left unattended in our park. Please do not tie your pet to a tree and leave. Leaving your pets unattended is dangerous for your pet as many factors including weather, power outages, etc. can affect your pet’s well-being while you are away.
Pet Vaccinations
Due to Insurance Requirements, all pets must be vaccinated in our park. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up-to-date.
Barking
Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without refund.
Vehicle Policies
Speed Limit
The park speed limit is 5 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.
Parking
Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 1 vehicle per site unless noted. Extra vehicles will need to be parked in additional parking areas. Inquire at marina about additional parking. Ruts caused in your site due to additional vehicles will result in damage charges.
Trailers, Boats, and additional vehicles need to be parked in additional parking areas. A nightly registration covers 1 RV and 1 vehicle only.
Do not park in the middle of the road. Do not park in sites that you did not register or pay for and do not block our garages or our bathroom and laundry room doors.
ATV’s. Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, and Golf Carts
ATV’s, UTV’s, Dirt Bikes, Trail Bikes, Motorcycles, or any other off-road vehicles are NOT permitted anywhere on the property. Golf carts are permitted ONLY to get to and from your site.
You MUST be a licensed driver (16 yrs old) in the state you are from to drive a golf cart. NO KIDS are allowed to drive a golf cart at any time, for any reason. Keep in mind this is a busy place- slow down and be aware of pedestrians, other golf carts, and other vehicles. A warning may or may not be given. Noncompliance with these rules will result in you being asked to park the golf cart for a given period of time, or to remove it from the property indefinitely.
General Park Policies
Severe Weather
In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the bathrooms or the laundry room. The basement of the house located on the hill above the marina is also a storm shelter. We love pets, so please bring them with you and please do not leave them in your RV during severe weather warnings. We will drive through the park honking a horn to advise of a severe weather threat.
Visitors
Only registered guests are permitted to enter the park. All visitors must stop in the marina to register. Mutton Creek Marina and Campgrounds reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site. Day visitors must depart by 10:00 pm CST. Overnight visitors must depart by Noon CST. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all campground rules are followed.
All guests visiting someone in the park must register at the marina and park in additional parking areas.
Electrical Use
You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using in your RV. Amp usage over the 50 AMPs provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay.
Please notify the office so that we can notify maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so.
Laundry
The laundry room is open 24/7; however, it requires a key. You may obtain a key from the marina by paying a deposit. Vending is available; you may get change at the marina if needed. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.
Restrooms & Showers
For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms and shower houses are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning once or twice per day. The main shower house/restrooms require a key for entry; you may obtain a key from the marina by paying a deposit. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean, please. Guests under the age of 18 need adult supervision in the bathrooms and showers.
Quiet Time Policies
Quiet time is 10 PM to 8 AM. Anyone playing loud music will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund.
Trash Disposal and Recycling
Trash dumpsters are located in the marina parking lot as well as across from both shower houses. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. If the dumpster is full, please find another dumpster. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Woodland creates like possums and racoons are attracted to left out or disposed of food. Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our trash dumpsters. Do not park in front of and/or block dumpsters.
Do not put fish remains in dumpsters.
Children
Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents are financially responsible for their children’s activities, so please know where they are at and what they are doing at all times!
Fireworks and Firearms
Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibiting of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. The prohibiting of firearms includes all guns- including air soft, BB, and pellet guns. Violation of this rule will result in you being asked to leave the park immediately without refund.
Repairs
Unapproved outside contracted repairs to RVs, boats, and vehicles are not permitted in our park or on our docks. We are happy to assist you with any repairs we are capable of, or we can recommend a repair service for you.
Safety and Emergencies
We never give personal information out to others without prior approval.
If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call (417) 995-3355 24 hours a day. (No soliciting is allowed.)
If you need to call 911 for any reason, and time allows, please call the marina so our staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site. Local Emergency(911) call (417) 637-1911.
