Oak & Ember Farms, Dayton, Ohio

As an operating farm and agritourism destination, guest safety is a high priority for us while on site. We've done our best to be fair with our property rules, but we do not hesitate to enforce them for the safety and enjoyment of our guests when needed. To make your stay more enjoyable, please take a few minutes to familiarize your party with the following rules and information. Please inform us if anything is unclear or if there is anyway we can make your stay more enjoyable.

NOTE: We do not offer refunds or exceptions from our cancellation policy for illness or inclement weather!

Alcohol: Alcohol is permitted only on your site and under control. Campers disregarding this may be asked to leave without refund.

Awnings: We encourage all campers to put up their awnings if leaving due to the possibility of sudden storms.

Campsites: Please leave community fire rings and picnic tables in their respective locations. Please do not move fire rings on grass sites and please build campfires in fire rings only. Do not put trash or glass bottles in the fire rings for the safety of staff and future guests.

Car Passes: All guest vehicles on property must have a valid pass that is displayed from the rear view mirror facing outward.

Check-in and Check-out: Check-in time is between 2:oo-6:00 pm and Check-out time is 12:00 pm for campsites. Early check-in is only available for tent or RV (not cabin) guests if the site is empty.

Drones: Guests must receive staff permission before flying drones above the property. This is to respect neighboring property owners' privacy.

Electric/Motorized Vehicles and/or ATVs: Vehicles of any kind besides your arrival vehicle (children’s car, go kart, scooter, segway, electric bike, quad, etc) are not allowed to be used on site.

Firearms: Open carry, illegal possession, and public display of firearms is not permitted in the campground. Discharge of firearms on campground property is prohibited unless in accords with OH Concealed Carry Laws. Violators will be asked to leave without refund.

Firepits: Split firewood is available on site for purchase, or you're welcome to drag out any fallen branches you can find around your campsite area. There will be wood stocked at all community firepit areas, but please limit fires to a reasonable size (manager's discretion) so as to keep adequate wood resources available for other guests.

Fireworks: Fireworks (including sparklers) are not permitted in the campground. Violators will be asked to leave without refund.

Fishing: Fishing is permitted in pond without a fishing license. You'll mostly find bass, catfish, bluegill, and carp (catch and release only please). 

Food: Please do not leave food, trash, or coolers out and unattended at your campsite. Secure everything in a vehicle or camper at night and/or before leaving to discourage our “furry friends” from visiting your site and frequenting our campground. We also require guests to carry out what they bring in, so be sure to bring trash bags!

Foul Language: We are a traditional family campground and do not permit foul language as determined by staff within earshot of other guests.

Illegal Activities: Illegal activities are not permitted at Oak & Ember Farms. Violators will be asked to leave without refund. This includes but is not limited to possession and/or use of illegal substances.

Pond access: Please familiarize yourself with the pond safety rules. Please note that children under 14 must wear a life jacket while boating and have a responsible adult supervising them at all times. Note that there is no lifeguard on duty and all swimming, kayaking and canoeing is done at your own risk. The pond closes at dusk. Boats are not permitted in the pond.

Pets: All pet owners must complete a pet agreement prior to bringing their pet on property. We are very pet friendly, but we are unable to allow pit bulls, rottweilers, or pets with ANY aggressive history towards people, children, or other pets (biting, fighting, etc) on campground property. Our camp dog, Emberis very friendly but please don't feed her.

Public Display of Affection: We are a traditional family campground and do not permit inappropriate public displays of affection as determined by management.

Public Display of Politics: Guests are not allowed to display political party/candidate/activist flags or signage (e.g. Let’s Go Brandon, BLM, Confederate, LGBTQ, etc). Those who choose not to respect this policy will be asked to leave without refund.

Quiet Hours: Please note that quiet hours are from 10:30 pm to 8:00 am. Day guests visiting a site must leave before 10:00 pm. All other day guests must leave before dark.

Ramps and Rails: Please familiarize yourself with the skating safety rules posted at the skate park. All users of ramps and rails must wear helmets and Orchard Lake does not assume any liability for accidents.

Respect: We ask that you and those with you respect our facilities and fellow campers and generally treat our facilities and others the way you would want to be treated.

Speed Limit: The speed limit throughout the campground is 10 mph. Please respect this for the safety of other guests and children. 

Smoking: Smoking is permitted on site, but ALL BUTTS MUST BE EXTINGUISHED AND TAKEN AWAY IN YOUR OWN TRASH. Please do not throw them on the ground anywhere on the property.

Trash: We do not offer trash pick-up at your site and ask that you carry out your trash as you leave. Please do not leave trash at your site or in your fire ring.

Trespassing: Please respect neighboring property owners (on all sides). Neighboring property owners will report trespassing people and pets.

Wi-Fi: Please feel free to use our wireless Internet service. We ask that you do not use this connection for immoral i.e. pornography etc., illegal, or other such uses. We also ask that you do not use excessive bandwidth, or download movies or music.

Wildlife: It is not uncommon to encounter a variety of wildlife throughout the campground including geese, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, deer, and more. Please do not feed the wildlife (especially the waterfowl) and please do not leave food or trash out at your site or cabin unattended and/or overnight.

Disclaimer: This facility is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to become a private membership association. We reserve the right to evict without notice anyone who does not obey our guidelines without refund. We are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of property of any kind.
