Oxbow Park
Big Bend & Oxbow Park Rules
Smoking/Vaping is Prohibited in All Buildings!
- Tongue of camper/windshield of camping unit MUST face the road
- Camping unit and personal items MUST be kept 2 feet from all lot lines/fence dividers
- No more than 8 persons may be on any site
- Quiet time is at 11pm. Radios, Bluetooth Speakers, and any other sound emitting devices MUST be turned OFF
- Fires MUST be extinguished at 2am
- Pets MUST be on a VISIBLE leash no longer than 6 feet at ALL times
- NO electric bikes, scooters, skate boards, hoverboards, ect…
- NO bike riding after dark
- Marijuana is PROHIBITED with in the Park
- NO FIREWORKS in the Park
- Disorderly conduct WILL NOT be tolerated including but not limited to violence, obscenity, vulgarity, intoxication, or disturbances of the peace
Camping
- Check out is 11 am on the date written on your pass
- Only one (1) camping unit per site. A SMALL pup tent may be approved on a case by case basis
- Pick-up campers MUST remain attached to the truck at ALL times
- Lot Posts/Fences must remain in the ground, absolutely NO digging
- One (1) parking pass is included in the cost of camping, all other vehicles in the park must purchase either a daily parking permit or annual park sticker.
- Max of two (2) vehicles may be parked on your site
Pets
- Two (2) pets per site (a 3rd pet is allowed at extra charge) Three (3) pets MAX
- NO aggressive pets
- NO excessive barking
- NO pets on the swim beach or inside any park buildings, including bathrooms and outhouses
- Pets may NOT be left unattended at anytime, inside or outside of the camping unit
- Handler MUST always be in control of the pet
- Handler MUST clean up after the pet
- After two (2) pet violations, camping privileges will be REVOKED
General
- Registered campers are responsible for their guest’s conduct
- Parents are held responsible for the actions of their children
- Children under the age of 8 must be supervised at ALL times
- Minors under the age of 18 MUST remain on their site from 11pm-7am unless accompanied by an adult
- Beach, Picnic areas, Playgrounds, ect…are CLOSED from Dusk-Dawn
- There is NO lifeguard on duty!
- Dumpsters are provided for “while camping” trash only. Please ensure ALL trash is contained in bags before dumping.
- Do NOT burn trash
- ANY trash, bagged or not, left on sites will result in a FINE
Violation(s) of vehicle pass (including improper boat parking on docks) will result in the vehicle being towed at the owner's expense. Big Prairie Township Parks Commission reserves the right to interpret and enforce park rules at their discretion. The commission also has sole responsibility for removal and storage of docks.
