Our tent sites are more secluded than our other sites, putting you closer to the beauty of the forest which surrounds our sand dunes. All of these sites are a short walk (less than 100ft) from nearby parking. Sites 21 & 24 overlook a little stream behind the bath house and come with water & electric hookups.

Tent/RV Sites

Our Tent/RV Sites are great for tent camping and for small RV/vans/trailer. We classify these sites as "RV" sites in the software so that we can describe the types and sizes of RVs allowed, but they are all in wooded locations that are perfect for tent camping too. In our entire campground, there are only a few sites listed as tent-only site because those sites require a short hike in (less than 100'), so you can not get an RV to those sites! NOTE ABOUT TRAVEL TRAILERS: our campground is surrounded by tall Northern Pines so backing up a travel trailer into many of our sites can be tricky. Maneuvering a 20' travel trailer into a spot could be impossible while a 20' van would be no problem. Unfortunately, our reservation software only allows us to list one maximum length for all RVs so we do not list any sites for travel trailers. If you have a travel trailer you have to check the table at the bottom of https://desertofmaine.com/campground to determine if your trailer will fit, then you can trick the software to show you all available sites by changing your equipment type to "van".

The Cozy

The Cozy is a small cabin that features a wall of glass overlooking beautiful woods. These modern A-Frames are 10'x11' on the interior with dramatic 12' ceilings and a queen bed. Each cabin comes with linens (sheets, wool blankets, towels for two, and pillows), a fan, a privacy curtain for the wall of glass, electrical outlets, a small countertop w/ a kettle, pour over coffee, and a cooler, two Adirondack chairs, a premium fire ring w/ integrated grill, and a small picnic table. NOTE: If it's cold, we recommend you bring a sleeping bag or extra blankets!

The Escape

The Escape features a wall of glass overlooking beautiful woods. These modern A-Frames are 14'x18' on the interior with dramatic 18' ceilings. The Escape has 1 queen bed and 2 twin mattresses (stored under the bed) which can be set up on the floor at night. There is a half-bath (toilet + sink) and a private deck out the back. Each cabin comes with linens (sheets, wool blankets, and pillows), a privacy curtain for the wall of glass, electrical outlets, a fan, a small countertop w/ a kettle, pour over coffee, and a cooler to keep your drinks drinks cold, 2 camp chairs, a premium fire ring w/ integrated grill, and a picnic table. The Rustic

Sleep out in nature in our 14'x10' rustic glamping tent with a queen bed, seating area, and place for additional 2 cots. Located in a luxury campground with tall northern pines all around. There is a recently renovated bathhouse nearby which is the nicest campground bathroom you will ever see--cedar with live edge countertops, new fixtures, and individual showers. Comes with linens, pillows, wool blankets, fan, electric outlets, 2 twin mats, 2 Adirondack, chairs, picnic table, fire pit, cooler, and more.
