The Park is open to the public year round. Camping is available from Mid April until the end of November.

CAMPGROUND FEES

There are 19 sites with Electricity (30 amp) and Water (Sites 1-19)

There are 16 sites with Electricity Only (30/50 amp) (Sites 20-36)

There are 3 rustic group sites (Group G1-G3)

$40 per night – Electric w/ water sites // $225 per week // $750 per month // $2500 Seasonal (April – Nov.)

$35 per night – Electric sites // $175 per week // $600 per month // $2200 Seasonal (April – Nov.)

$25 per night per tent – Rustic group sites // $90 per week per tent

(Sales tax included) Payment is to be made on the reservation website or the site will be reopened.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY FOR CAMPSITE AND SHELTER RENTALS

-50% fee if cancelled 2 weeks prior to the reservation date

-No refunds if cancelled less than 2 weeks to reservation date

-$5 charge for date changes

CAMPERS THAT ARE NOT PRE-REGISTERED

For campers that have not pre-registered, if sites are available please reserve the site on the website. The yellow pay post should only be utilized for non-camping dump station usage and firewood donations. Cash or check is acceptable in the yellow pay post for those instances. Checks can be made out to Pietrek Park.

SEVERE WEATHER

In the event of severe weather, immediately seek shelter in the main showers/bathrooms.

JOE PIETREK, JR. MEMORIAL COUNTY PARK RULES

Those violating the following rules may be asked to leave and may be subject to a forfeiture of $20.00 to $500.00 plus Court and other costs required upon conviction of a cited violation.

1. CAMPING – In designated campsites only. For availability, see Parks and Recreation Coordinator or call 715-538-1914.

2. PARK FEES – No person shall camp or use any enclosed shelter structure without required registration or payment of required fees. Payment can be given to the Parks and Recreation Manager, or made payable after making an account and registering a campsite/shelter in Campspot

3. CURFEW – Only campers holding official receipts shall be permitted in the Park after 11:00 p.m. No person shall be in the Park at times when it is noticed as being closed to the public.

4. VEHICLES – Vehicles are only allowed in designated parking areas and cannot drive off road on to the grass. Vehicles shall not be operated in such a way to cause holes, ruts, or damage to any ground cover or roadway. No vehicle shall be operated in a reckless manner or at a speed greater than the posted limit. No vehicle shall be parked with the engine running within 200 ft. of any campsite or picnic area. No ATV’s or UTV’s are allowed to be used by patrons on Park premises.

5. PETS – Shall be kept enclosed or on a leash at all times while in the Park. Pets shall not be left unattended. Pets are not allowed in the park shelters. You must clean up after your pet.

6. FIRE – No person shall start a fire other than a camp stove except in designated fireplaces or fire rings. Leave fire rings in place. No garbage such as food waste, plastic, or other types of containers or wrapping shall be burned.

7. FIREWOOD – Firewood, if available, is available from the Park and can be taken from by campsite # 1. WI DNR rules state the firewood must be within 10 miles of the park or be Wisconsin certified firewood (processed to remove harmful hitchhikers). For a list of firewood providers, please see the Parks and Recreation Manager.

8. DISTURBING OR DAMAGING PROPERTY – No person shall disturb or damage any trees, shrubs, or plants or carve on any County property at the Park. No person shall disturb, molest, damage, or remove property of others located at the Park. No person shall enter the campsite of another without consent or fail to leave when requested.

9. LITTER - It is unlawful to throw refuse, waste or human sewage in any waters of the state. Violators may be subject to a forfeiture. All garbage, litter, and trash must be placed in containers or large dumpster in the parking lot provided for this purpose.

10. FIREWORKS – No person shall discharge fireworks on Park Property.

11. SHELTERS – Shelters are for registered and paid guests only and upon reservation. Picnic tables are not to be removed from the shelters.

12. SHOWERS – Showers are for registered and paid guests ONLY. Should you require the use of the shower facility but do not have a camping reservation a minimum camping fee of $20 is required and can be placed in the yellow pay post. Please use the yellow envelope and indicate “shower use” in the comments.

13. QUIET TIME – Please observe quiet hours between 10:00PM and 6:00AM. No persons shall produce sounds that interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of the Park by others present at the Park.

14. WASTE – All garbage, litter, and trash must be cleaned up and placed in containers or large dumpster in the parking lot provided for this purpose. Waste materials generated outside the Park may not be brought back in to the Park for disposal. Sewage may not be emptied at the Park without paying the required fee. Campsites shall be managed in a way as to avoid wind-blown debris, decaying food, or any other condition which is likely to be offensive to others using the Park or presents a risk to persons, wildlife, or environment.

15. GLASS – In the interest of public safety, please avoid the use of glass bottles or containers in the lower park and swimming areas or shelters.

16. SOLICITING – No soliciting is allowed. No one shall rent or sell any item or service except under an approved contract with the Parks and Recreation Coordinator.

17. SWIMMING – All swimming is at your own risk. No lifeguards are provided.

Trempealeau County park facilities are designed and operated with the safety and accessibility of park visitors in mind. Pietrek Park is patrolled by a Parks and Recreation Manager and the Parks Groundskeeper Staff, in cooperation with other local, county and state law enforcement agencies. The Parks and Recreation Manager can assist visitors should the need arise. All park guests must abide by all local, state, and federal laws.
