Point Cross Beach RV Park

Point Cross Beach RV Park - Rules and Regulations:

- In case of an Emergency, dial 911. 

- One family per site with one camping unit is permitted. You do not have permission to transfer your reservation to another person. There is no subletting of RV sites.  All Guest ID’s will be verified. 

All Motorhomes, RVs or Travel Trailers must be in good working order and appearance. 

- All Tent and RV sites are to be kept neat, clean and free of clutter.

Tenting is permitted.  Sites are designated for tents only with a maximum guest limit applying per site.

- Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging stations are available within the RV Park.  Please contact the Office for availability and fees.

All Guests and Visitors must register in the office upon Arrival.  Guests are welcome until 10:00 PM.  Overnight guests are permitted and additional Fees will apply. 

- Absolutely No Daytime Burning at the RV Park between 8:00am - 2:00pm.  NS daytime burning ban is in place for the 2025 Season. Nova Scotia Governtment Fines are $25,000 and those burning during burning bans are solely responsible for this fine.

- Open Fires are not permitted at our Park. When daily burning updates are permitted by NS Dept of Natural Resources, our RV Park has designated fire pit rings. Burning is absolutely not allowed during the day between hours of 8:00am - 2:00pm when wildfires are at most risk. Daily check-ins are required with the provincial website for potential burning restrictions for evening burning. See: https://novascotia.ca/natr/forestprotection/wildfire/burnsafe/Q-As.asp

- What is Permitted? Propane BBQ’s, fire bowls, stoves that use propane are permitted. Charcoal BBQ’s can only be used with briquettes.

Check-in the day of your reservation is 1:00 PM AST and Check out on your last day is 11:00 AM AST. No guest will occupy space of the Park outside of their reservation, unless specific permission has been provided by management.  Late Check-ins are allowed, please contact the office by phone/text if you are expected outside regular Office Hours.  You do not need to contact the office to Check-out, unless any outstanding invoice payments are required.  Please ensure all rented/loaned equipment is returned to the Office.

- Quiet time is between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Anyone creating excessive noise and disturbance for other guests within this time will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund for their remaining stay.

- Office Hours:  9:00 AM AST - 7:00 PM AST

- Site Changes - You have been assigned or chosen a specific site for your stay.  Should you wish to change to another available site, please contact the office for availability.  Your site may need to change at the discretion of Park Management.  You will be notified of the change via email or upon your arrival.

- Selling, operating a business of any kind while at the Park or renting out your RV short-term is strictly forbidden. 

- No firearms, B.B. guns or fireworks of any kind are permitted in the Park. 

- Pets are to be on a leash at all times in the Park or at the beach and never left alone. Please pick up after your Pets.  All pets are required to have current vaccinations.  All pets are to be directly attended by their owners while outside.  In the event that a Guest's pet causes continued disturbances within the Park, the Guest will be required to remove their pet for the remainder of their stay.  Please be mindful that not all guests may be pet friendly. 

- No Glass beverage containers are permitted at any time at the RV Park including the Beach area. 

- The Park, Beach and Brook areas are unsupervised, use at your own Risk. 

- Please respect the environment. Littering is strictly forbidden and no burning of plastics or any garbage. 

Garbage and Recycling bins are available within the Park.  Recycling is highly encouraged.  Please review the information for plastics, bottles and garbage supplied to you upon arrival.  Please do not leave garbage at your site.

- Showers are for RV Guest personal hygeine only.  Hair cutting, hair dyeing, washing of dishes or clothing, pet washing or grooming or other non-hygiene activity is strictly prohibited.  Pets are strictly prohibited from the Showers.  Hours of access are 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning daily.  We ask your help in keeping the restrooms tidy after use.  Be mindful of the guests who enter after you.  NOTE:  Additional Fees apply to Showers.  On-site Toilets are at no charge to guests.

Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.  Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV Guests.  Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by dusk.  Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.

- All fishing activities must be done in accordance with NS Wildlife requirements. You are wholly responsible for any consequences, expenses or fines resulting from any contravention of these requirements by you or your party.  No trapping of any animals.

- No Repairs to RV’s or Vehicles are permitted in the Park.  Local repair shops are within the region and contact information can be provided for your assistance.

- No Washing of vehicles or RV’s within the Park.  The environment thanks you.

- No septic dumping or littering of any kind. Use the dump station, recycling and garbage bin locations within the Park. We ask that you leave the RV site in the clean and sanitary condition in which you found it. 

- Generators can be used at the Beach sites.  However, they are restricted to mealtime and not to be used during quiet hours.  If they are excessively noisy, and it is disturbing other guests, you will have to turn it off. 

- The RV Park Management has Video and Audio Surveillance throughout the Park including at its facilities and amenitites.  This is both for safety and security reasons.

- All RV-er’s and guests are responsible for the safety of their personal property. Any damage, injuries or theft to personal property will not be the responsibility of the Park owners. Management is not responsible for any personal property left behind, however, we will hold items up to 3 months from your departure date after which time it becomes property of the Park. 

- All personal vehicles within the Park will be designated specific areas. We ask that you do not block any entrances to main roads or other RV sites. Any vehicles parked in unauthorized zones may be towed at the direction of park management. Any related towing costs are the responsibility of the vehicle owner. All vehicles are designated to the main roads and your RV site only within the Park. No vehicle is operated outside these areas. No ATVs, dirt bikes, side-by-sides or any other off highway vehicles are permitted in the Park. 

- No Drone activity is permitted within the Park without RV Park managment approval.

- The speed limit within the Park is 5 Kms/hr

- Additional vehicles are permitted to one (1) additional vehicle per RV site, at the discretion of management (limited access on beach sites). Should you require additional parking, please contact the Office to confirm space availability and fees.

- All Guests accessing the Beach are to use the stairs on either end of the Beach sites.  Do not walk over the Beach RV site Berm for your safety and preservation of the Berm.

- At times, management will process and upload photos of the park to social media.  All efforts are taken to avoid personal identification.  By staying at the Park, you agree that your RV site may be included in marketing photos and uploaded to social media to showcase the Park.

- Winds and Weather can play a part in your RV/Camping experience.   The RV Park is located at the Bay of St. Lawrence, Atlantic Ocean. With a combination of mountains and ocean, weather can change quickly. Be mindful of wind and weather changes and be prepared to secure items at your RV site.  Management recommends not leaving your awning out if leaving your RV site for daily or longer trips.  For up-to-date weather, access Government of Canada: weather.gc.ca for Cheticamp area Environment Canada Weather

- Do not remove any dirt, gravel, rocks, sand, plants, flowers, or bushes from the Park or otherwise alter, damage or destroy any watercourse. Vehicles are not permitted on the Beach RV pad, unless you have a reservation on the Beach RV site. The Beach access road is to be used at your own Risk. The road is narrow and one lane with wetlands on either side. You are wholly responsible for any damage to watercourses or wetlands, and any costs associated with such damage that was caused by you or your party.  

- We are not responsible for any damages to you/your party, equipment or theft while staying with us at our Park. You accept responsibility for your well being and items while staying at our Park. 

- You acknowledge and understand that Point Cross Beach RV Park is located in a wilderness environment and that any activity taken in such an environment (including but not limited to, fishing, hiking, swimming, paddle sports, building a fire, etc.) has its own inherent risk. Therefore, in consideration of being permitted to stay at Point Cross Beach RV Park, you assume all risks and accept full responsibility for you or your party’s participation in any wilderness activities during your stay, which risks and responsibilities may include bodily injury, death or loss of or damage to personal property and expenses as result those inherent risks and dangers identified above and those not specifically identified, or as result of you or your party’s negligence during your stay, and hereby waive, release and absolve and agree to indemnify and save harmless Point Cross Beach RV Park and its directors, officers, employees and agent of and from any and all liability therefrom.

Any deviations from the above Terms by any of our RV guests will be addressed by Management and/or the local RCMP detachment as necessary and can result in immediate expulsion from the Park. 

By staying at Point Cross Beach RV Park, you have read and are in agreement with these TERMS. Please note that these TERMS are updated on a regular basis, and you’ll be notified of any changes prior to or upon your arrival. Please sign a copy of our RV Park Rules and Regulations and return to us.
