Ragans Family Campground Rules, Policies & Regulations

Our goal is to provide campers with a clean and safe environment to make memories with family and friends!

We are obligated to follow the local codes and regulations for campgrounds. Please see below for Campground rules. Please note, this is not a comprehensive list. Any situations not covered here will be up to the management’s discretion to resolve. Campers agree to comply with these rules and regulations as outlined below.

These rules and regulations are instituted for the safety and security of all guests, visitors, staff, and management of Ragans Family Campground. Repeated violations of these rules will result in the removal from the Campground without refund.

Registration as a camper includes use of all amenities including jumping pad, playground, recreational fields, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, Putt Putt golf, disc golf, Gaga Ball, rock mining, Lazy River, 60ft slide, pool, and 30 acres of ATV trails (additional fee $25 per day and proof of insurance is required). Guests use of these amenities is voluntary and Ragans Family Campground is not responsible for any injuries that may be sustained. Personal Golf Carts are allowed at no additional fee however proof of insurance is required.

All reservations require the first night deposit, due at the time of booking, and must be secured with a valid credit or debit card.

Deposits are non-transferable.

Firearms, fireworks, and drugs are strictly prohibited. Any violations will result in immediate removal from the park without refund

The Campground is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Proof of insurance is required for ALL motorized vehicles, ATV's, and Golf carts being driven/operated within our campground. NO EXCEPTIONS!

There are NO refunds for early departures or due to unfavorable weather conditions.

 Cancellation Policy:

Non-Holiday Reservations must be cancelled at least 3 days prior to the reservation. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied, and any remaining balance will be refunded. If cancelling less than 3 days prior to reservation or guest is a no show,  the first night deposit is forfeited, and no refund will be given.

All Holiday Reservations must be cancelled at least 8 days prior to the reservation. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied, and any remaining balance will be refunded. Guests may change reservation dates at any time prior to arrival for a $25 fee. All change fee charges are due the day change is made.

Check-in and Check-out Times:

Check-in time for RV’s is 1 p.m.

Check-in for Cabins is 3 p.m.

Check out is at 11 am

$25.00 late check out (until 12:30pm)

If departure is after 1 pm you will be charged for another day.

Cabin Policy:

A credit card is required for all cabin reservations.

2-night minimum stay required.

NO SMOKING. A $250 cleaning fee will be assessed for all violations.

NO PETS ALLOWED IN CABINS NOT DESIGNATED AS PET FRIENDLY. A $250 cleaning fee will be assessed for all violations.

Upon departure, Cabins must be swept, and any trash bagged up removed. All keys must be returned to the office or dropped in the Key Drop box. We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file for any damage, lost keys or extra clean up.

Cabins do not come with linens however they may be rented for an additional fee ($25 per bed when available)

Quiet Hours:

Sunday through Thursday, quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m.. until 8:00 a.m. with the exception of Sunday on holiday weekends.  On Friday and Saturday, quiet time begins at 11:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 a.m.

Parking:

Guests are allowed 2 vehicles per site. Additional vehicles will be charged $5 per day. Additional vehicles and trailers are required to park in overflow parking.

Pets:

Only non-aggressive pets are allowed.

Do not leave pets unattended or tied to trees.

Pets must be tethered within the site boundaries and always remain on a leash.

Leashes must be no longer than six (6) feet long.

Always clean up after your pet, and properly dispose of waste.

No pets allowed in buildings, pool/lazy river areas, bounce house area, bathhouses, non- pet friendly cabins or playground areas.

If your dog barks, becomes a nuisance to neighbors or is aggressive towards other dogs or people, you must attend to the dog promptly. Continued unwanted behavior may result in you being asked to leave the Campground with no refund.

Visitors and Additional Guests:

Registered campers are responsible for their guests.

Visitors and additional guests, above the maximum occupancy of four (4) per site, must register and will be charged an additional $10 per person.per day.

Children:

The Campground and staff are NOT RESPONSIBLE for watching or supervising children. Children aged twelve (12) and under must always supervised by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult at all times.

Playground Areas:

Playgrounds are open from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm daily.

Jumping Pad 

No food, gum or beverages allowed.

No glass containers.

Remove jewelry and empty pockets before jumping.

No cell phones.

No shoes allowed but socks are required.

Jump at arm’s length from others.

No wet clothes or feet.

No pets allowed in jump pad area.

POOL/LAZY RIVER RULES:

No alcohol or tobacco products (including vaping) allowed in swimming areas.

No food or beverages allowed on the pool deck or in Lazy River.

No glass containers.

No pets allowed in swimming areas.

No diving, running, jumping or horse playing allowed.

Campground Staff will conduct swimming pool checks several times per day to determine the number of swimmers using the swimming pool at any time.

IF THERE IS A FECAL ACCIDENT, REPORT IT TO STAFF IMMEDIATELY.

CLOSURES DUE TO WEATHER:

The Pool, Water Zone, Lazy River and Slide will shut down when weather conditions or other potentially dangerous conditions arise. Staff will blow whistle and/or alert all guests to clear the swimming areas. Gates will remain locked until the area is safe to re-enter.

If closed due to storms, lightning must be more than 10 miles away for a period of 30 minutes or more.

For safety reasons, other amenities and activities (such as Putt Putt, Horseshoes, Jump Pad, Bounce House, Train Rides, etc.) will also be unavailable during this time.

There will be no refunds or discounts due to weather.

Off Road Riding Trails: 

ATV’s, UTV’s, 4 wheelers and other motorized vehicles are permitted for an additional fee of $25 each per day. Proof of insurance is required, and all operators must be licensed drivers over the age of 16 to operate within the campground. Any motorized vehicles that are not road worthy/street legal or licensed must be parked by dark.

Trash:

We have 2 dumpsters located strategically in the park. One is located on Pine Trail near the Big Bath House and the other is located at the corner of Acorn Lane and Mossy Oak Grove.

Please do not leave any trash outside overnight or burn trash in the fire ring.

 Speed:

The speed limit throughout the park is 5 miles per hour.

Trespass:

We ask that all campers practice good camping etiquette and do not park in or cut through other sites.

Lake/Pond:

NO SWIMMING ALLOWED!

Lake and Pond are for fishing only (Catch and release)
