River Country Campground
PARK POLICIES
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT : Check in is at 2PM EST or later. Check out is at 11AM EST or earlier. Early Check in is at the discretion of Park Managers. We will not ask a guest to leave so that you can check in early. You do not need to notify the office when checking out.Late Check ins are allowed at any time, please contact the office for instructions.
** All guests MUST check in at the office and get a Parking Pass to be in the Park. Parking Passes must be visible at all times.
** If you are staying at the Park for 30 days or longer, we require an agreement to be signed. Please contact the Park for more details.
Date Changes : If you need to change your dates please contact the office as soon as possible. If you need to cancel one day or more from your reservation it must be done more than 7 days prior to the original arrival date. Less than 7 days prior notice to the original arrival date you are responsible for payment for any unused days.
Site Changes : You have been assigned a specific site, if you wish to move please check with the office first. Due to Reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.
Open Fires : Open fires are NOT ALLOWED in our Park. Fires must be in designated fire rings at all times. Please do NOT set trees and other things on fire. Please do NOT bring things into the Park to set on fire.
The Park has bundles of wood for sale. You may NOT bring outside wood into the Park. If we notice that you brought wood from outside of the Park you may be charged a nuisance fee or be asked to leave.
Site and Park Navigation
Please be respectful of your neighbor and do NOT walk between sites when navigating the Park.Please use main roads, and public paths to walk around the Campground.
Pet Policies : Dogs must be on a 6 foot leash at ALL TIMES. This helps to keep you, your pet, and other guests and their pets safe. Pets are NOT ALLOWED in our buildings. This is due to County code laws. Please do NOT bring them into the Store, Office, Rec Hall, or Shower House. Pets are also NOT allowed on our playground. Please do NOT tie your pet to our trees, doors, or posts. Always clean up after your pet, at all times, in all areas of the Park. Do not leave dog waste on your site or other sites. You may be charged a fee for clean up and disposal. Pets may NOT be left unattended in our Park. Please do NOT tie your pet to a tree or other object and leave. Leaving your pet unattended is dangerous for your pet and for others. Your pet must be up-to-date on their vaccinations due to Insurance Requirements. You must have access to these records and be able to show them if needed. Excessive barking is NOT tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without a refund.
VEHICLE POLICIES
Parking : You are allowed one vehicle per site unless noted by staff, we have additional parking available if needed in Canoe Parking. Please do NOT park on adjacent sites. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges for use of that site. Please avoid parking on the grass. If your vehicle causes damage, such as ruts on your site, this may result in damage charges.Trailers, Boats, ATVs, etc. Must park in Canoe Parking.No Parking in the middle of the road. Please do NOT block traffic. Golf Carts may be used within the Park. You must adhere to the 5PMH speed limit. And drive with caution. ATVs, ORVs, Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, and other recreational vehicles are only permitted for use to enter and exit the Park.
GENERAL PARK POLICIES
Severe Weather : In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the Shower House or laundry room. We love pets, so please bring them with you and please do not leave them in your RV or tent during severe weather warnings.
Visitors : Only Registered guests are permitted to enter the Park. All Visitors must stop in the office to register, pay a fee and receive a Parking Pass. Visitors may not bring pets. River Country Campground reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site. Day visitors must depart by 9PM or dusk, whichever is earlier. Please check with the office before inviting any visitors. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all Campground rules are followed.
Electrical Use : You are responsible for understanding how many Amps you are using in your RV. Amp usage over the 30 Amps provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your Amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay. Please notify the office so that we can notify Maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are NOT permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Maintenance is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so.
Laundry : The laundry room is open during office hours only. Change is available at the office. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft.
Restrooms : For the comfort of all our guests, The Shower house is open 24/7 with the exception of a temporary closing due to a maintenance issue or deep cleaning. We also have restrooms available in the Rec Hall during open office hours. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean, please. Guests under the age of 18 need adult supervision in the bathrooms and showers. If the Restrooms or Shower House are dirty, please let the Office Staff know so that we can get them cleaned as soon as possible.
Beach and Playground : No lifeguard is on duty. Beach and Playground opens at 8am after quiet time and closes at dusk. Anyone under 18 must be supervised in these areas and all areas of the Campground at all times. Horseplay, running, and diving is NOT permitted in our beach area. Loud music, glass, and rough play are not permitted at our beach or playground. Failure to follow these rules may result in you being asked to leave without a refund. Please do NOT allow your children to climb our trees, as it damages them. Please do NOT allow your children to climb on Playground equipment or our wooden train. This is for insurance purposes.
Quiet Time : Quiet time is 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Anyone playing loud music or being excessively loud will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund.
Trash disposal and Recycling : Dumpsters are located near the entrance of the Park next to the Office. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely inside the dumpsters. If one dumpster is full please use the second dumpster. Do NOT place your trash on the ground. Do NOT dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, toxic waste or chemicals in our dumpsters. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in charges for disposal fees. Dumpsters are emptied once a week. If you are recycling, we currently recycle metal and cans/ bottles. Please place any recycling items to the right of the dumpsters in the designated area.
Children : Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult (over 18) at all times. Disrupting other Campers, vandalism, profanity, and causing damage to any property is NOT permitted. Riding bicycles without a parent on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and other Campers. The Playground, basketball court, and Beach close at dark. Anyone under 18 must be back at their site by dusk, unless accompanied by an adult. Children may not use the restrooms/ Shower house without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
RV Repairs : Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted in our Park. We are happy to recommend a local Mobile RV Repair service that comes out to your site to assist you with any repairs.
PROHIBITED : Fireworks and Firearms are strictly prohibited in our Park. The prohibiting of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. The prohibiting of Firearms includes ALL guns including air soft, BB, and pellet guns. If these items are seen outside of your RV or tent, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. Drones are NOT permitted in our Park. Please do NOT fly drones over people or RVs. You may be asked to leave without a refund.
Safety and Emergencies : Emergency Contact Information forms are required from all monthly guests. This information remains private and used only when a situation arises when we need to contact someone in the event of an emergency or is sought by law enforcement agencies. We never give personal information out to others. If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern please notify the office or another Park staff member during open hours. Or call 911 in an emergency.
** If you need to call 911 for any reason, and time allows, please notify the office or a Park staff member so that we can prepare to escort the emergency personnel to your site.
CANCELLATION POLICY
*** EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY ***
For Reservations cancelled MORE than 2 weeks prior to the arrival date we will issue a refund, minus a Cancellation Fee of $25 per site. For a cancellation of a Reservation more than 1 week but 2 weeks or less prior to the arrival date you will incur a Cancellation Fee equal to one nights’ stay per site. For a Reservation cancelled 1 week or less prior to the arrival date (or in the case of a no show or if you choose to leave earlier than expected) you will be charged the FULL AMOUNT of the Reservation per site. If the Reservation has not been paid in full in advance of the arrival date, the debit/credit card on file will be charged for any remaining balance due. If you are due a refund of any remaining balances, you may choose to have a Camp Credit issued instead of a refund. Cancellations for kayak, canoe and/ or tube rentals made anytime will forfeit the deposit. If you cancel canoes, kayaks, and/or tubes within 24 hours of your river trip you will not receive a refund of any monies paid towards that trip. We do not refund due to bad weather. In the case of dangerous weather you may receive credit for a future river trip. Subject to availability. Camp Credit can only be redeemed in the same calendar year as the cancelled Reservation and can only be applied to your site rental. For Reservations paid with a credit/ debit card refunds will be put back onto the card on file, cash refunds will be credited to the card on file with respect to the Reservation. If there is no card on file a check will be sent out within 10 business days. Booking Fee of $5.00 is non-refundable from time of booking. Any processing fees applied to a reservation are non-refundable.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I AGREE, and shall cause my children, invitees and guests to abide by the Park Rules, including those rules and policies published at www.rivercountrycampandcanoe.com , posted at the Premises or otherwise communicated in any manner by River Country Campground Management. I further understand and agree that River Country Campground does not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature or weather. River Country Campground’s refund policy varies, depending on the timing of the cancellation notice in advance of the Reservation date, as follows: Campsites: If a Reservation is cancelled more than 2 weeks prior to the arrival date we issue a full refund, minus a cancellation fee of $25. For a cancellation of a reservation more than 1 week but less than 2 weeks, prior to the arrival date you forfeit the one nights’ stay deposit required at the time of booking. For a Reservation cancelled 1 week or less prior to the arrival date (or in the case of a no show) you will be charged the full amount of the Reservation. If the Reservation has not been paid in full in advance of the arrival date the card on file will be charged for any remaining balance due. If you are due a refund of any remaining balances, you may choose to have a Camp Credit issued instead of a refund. Camp Credit can only be redeemed in the same calendar year as the cancelled Reservation and can only be applied to your site rental. For Reservations paid with a credit card, cash refunds will be credited to the card on file with respect to the Reservation.As a participant in a recreational activity, I am responsible for acting within the limits of my ability and heeding all warnings regarding participation in the activity. I will maintain control of myself and any equipment while participating in the activity and will refrain from acting in any manner that may cause or contribute to injury to myself or to others.
I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Blue Heron Parks, LLC, DBA River Country Campground, it’s owners and agents (collectively, River Country Campground Management), from any and all liability to me, my children, my invitees/ guests, personal representatives, and heirs for any loss or damage on account of injury to person (including death) or loss or damage to property relating to, or arising out of, use and occupancy of the River Country Campground properties, facilities, amenities, beach, playground (collectively, the Premises) and any dangers and hazards associated with acts of nature such as changing weather conditions; high winds; thunder and lightning; temperature fluctuations; falling trees; tree limbs; ice; or encounters with wildlife.
I HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS River Country Campground Management, and each of them, from any loss, liability, damage or cost (including attorney fees) they may incur due to injury (including death), damage or loss of property relating to use of the Premises by me, my children, and/or my invitees/guests or due to any incidents that may occur during my stay. I understand that, although River Country Campground Management makes every reasonable effort to provide a secure environment, the security of my person, my belongings, and all persons registered in my party is my sole responsibility.
As a courtesy, our employees, if so requested, may assist with directing you to your designated campsite. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that the site will accommodate your specific trailer/ RV and that you will not hit any branches, bollards, trees, etc. when positioning Your RV on the campsite. You agree to indemnify and hold Blue Heron parks DBA River Country Campground, its owners and agents (collectively, River Country Campground Management) harmless from any loss, liability, damage or cost (including attorney’s fees) that may result from an employee assisting or directing you onto a campsite. Furthermore, you release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue River Country Campground Management for any and all liability, loss, or property damage relating to an employee assisting/directing you to your site.
I understand that I am and remain personally liable to pay the total amount of my reservation prior to my scheduled check-in date, or at such earlier date communicated to me. If I fail to pay the total due, I agree that Blue Heron Parks, LLC DBA as River Country Campground may charge any remaining balance (in addition to any damaged charges or other amounts owed under these Terms and Conditions) to any credit or debit card on file with my reservation. Any amounts due after 30 days will be subject to the maximum late charge permitted under state law.
The Premises are privately owned, and RIVER COUNTRY CAMPGROUND MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE to anyone for any reason except for those prohibited by law. River country campground management reserves the right to require any person or party it deems necessary, to leave the campground based on violations of Park Rules or behavior management deems inappropriate or disturbing to others. Harassment or mistreatment of our staff or other guests, including but not limited to, racist comments or hate speech, will not be tolerated under any circumstances. I have read this notice and agree to it as well as all River Country Campground Rules and Regulations. In addition, I understand that I am responsible for the actions of all Persons registered in my party, including any children and any guests that visit during my stay. On behalf of each person in my party, I grant River Country Campground and its affiliated entities and promotional partners the right to include any photographic, video and other visual portrayals of each person in my party in any medium and for any purpose.
Additional Terms for Rental Sites
I understand and agree as follows: At departure, the site is to be left in a reasonably clean condition, garbage is to be removed from the site and placed in our dumpsters, otherwise River Country Campground Management may charge my debit or credit card with a $25 cleaning fee. I understand and agree that if I leave the site in an unreasonably filthy condition, park management may charge my card for the cost of cleaning. All damages to the site whether caused by myself, my children, guest or pets, will be disclosed to the office immediately or at checkout. All damages occurring to the site during my stay will be charged to my debit or credit card after a thorough inspection has been made by River Country Campground Management. Damages for which I will be responsible include but are not limited to damage to the site, the electrical pedestal, water hookups, pet waste, trash, etc.
ANIMAL WAIVER
I hereby agree to the following regulations and conditions relating to my dog while camping at Blue Heron Parks LLC DBA River Country Campground with my dog.
· Excluded areas. I agree to keep my dog out of the following areas including, but not limited to, all buildings, Store, Office, Restrooms, Shower house, Club House, and Playgrounds.
· Excluded Dogs. I agree that the Campground has the sole discretion to exclude dogs. The basis for exclusion may include, but is not limited to the following: breed specific exclusions; due to their young age are exempted from state or local law vaccination requirements; are sick; are in heat; are aggressive, vicious, dangerous or potentially dangerous; require muzzling; or are easily frightened or sensitive, resulting in disruptive behavior (such as fighting or biting) in response to a stimulus.
· Supervision. I agree to keep my dog on a leash or in a carrier while in all public areas of the Campground. I further agree to have my dog with me or a designated individual at all times, and understand that I may not leave the dog unattended in an RV or at the campsite. I agree to prevent noise or any other disturbance by my dog, in the interest of other guests at the campground.
· Vaccinations. I represent and warrant that my dog is up to date on all vaccinations (including rabies and distemper) and flea treatments. I have access to vaccination records if needed.
· Disturbances. I agree that, should my dog create any disturbances, which cause complaints to be made to the management by other guests or employees of the Campground, at the request of a Campground employee, I will immediately make arrangements to house my dog elsewhere outside the Campground. Additionally, I understand and agree that if I do not find alternative housing for my pet and after being asked to do so, I will be asked to leave the campground and will not be issued a refund.
· Assumption of Risk and Release. I understand that my permission to have my dog at the Campground with me is a privilege and not a contractual right. Such permission is expressly conditional upon my adherence to the terms of these rules and other rules in effect at any given time. I understand that the Campground may revoke such permission at any time for any reason. Additionally, I hereby assume all responsibility of risks, injury, damage, other harm that may occur while my dog is at the Campground or caused by my dog. Further, I hereby knowingly and voluntarily expressly release and discharge the Campground, its owner, its agents, its parent companies, members, managers, directors, officers and employees (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, demands, or causes of action, both present and future, whether known, unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, that me or my guests or invitees may have against any of the Released Parties arising out of or incident to my dog's presence in the Campground, whether arising from any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise, of me, my dog and/or any guest or invitee. I further agree to indemnify each of the Released Parties for any and all such claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, demands, or causes of action, including cost, expenses, and attorney’s fees arising as a result of or related to the presence of the dog at the Campground. This provision shall be enforceable to the fullest extent of the law.
· Acknowledgement. By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read the foregoing Assumption of Risks and Release and fully understand its provisions and implications. My execution of this Release is entirely voluntary and intended to be binding on my heirs, executors, legal representatives and assigns.
I have read this Animal Waiver and understand it is my responsibility to abide by the Rules. I further understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that my guests and invitees also comply with the Rules. Failure to adhere to the policies and rules set forth herein may result in my removal from the Campground without a refund.
In light of the global pandemic associated with COVID-19, everyone shares in the obligation to observe certain requirements and guidelines to help keep themselves and others safe within your shared community. In particular, I represent that I have not tested positive for COVID-19 within the last two weeks and I have not been in direct personal contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last two weeks either. If I do test positive for COVID-19 or come into contact with someone who has, or if my temperature exceeds 100 degrees Fahrenheit and I experience other COVID-19 related symptoms, I agree that I will not seek to enter the park/community until I am no longer symptomatic for three straight days. I agree to observe the safety requirements within the park/community spaces, including wearing a personal mask when required, and observing required routes of circulation, occupancy limitations, social distancing and sanitization requirements.
