Riverside Campground Overnight Camper Rules

Check in time is at 1:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m. If you are still on your site after 11:00 a.m., an additional night site fee will be assessed. We will attempt to accommodate special requests if possible. Please notify the office, when they open, if you require additional accommodations.
Quiet hours are between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM. We want to provide all guests with a pleasant camping experience and ask for your support in allowing others to rest and relax. You will be asked once to comply with this rule. If a second visit is necessary, you will be asked to pack your equipment and leave the park, immediately. We also ask that no fires are started after the hour of 11:00 PM.
Campers under 16 must be on their family’s campsite between the hours of 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM and be accompanied by an adult if they must leave for restroom use during these hours. This is for their safety.
Campfires must be confined to the provided fireplaces or fire rings. The flame height of fires should not exceed 24” above the top of the containment provided. Firewood is for sale at the camp store, foraging for wood, or cutting trees, removing branches or other vegetation is not permitted.
Portable (plug-in) electric heaters are not allowed on any campsite. Water and electric site electrical outlets are for lighting, computer and phone charging and very small appliances (less than 10 amps). Griddles, air conditioners, hot pots and other high draw devices will trip your circuit breaker and possibly damage our electrical equipment and are not allowed on water and electric only sites.
Do not tie off tents or screen houses or hang clotheslines from any utility, site marker posts or newly planted trees.
Please maintain and leave your campsite in the same condition as you found it upon your arrival. If you feel your site is not clean and acceptable when you arrive, notify the staff immediately so we may provide service before you set up your equipment. Place all trash in the dumpster.
State law prohibits dumping food waste anywhere except into trash receptacles. Please do not clog our sink drains, scrape dishes before washing.
You have paid for one campsite. Please respect your neighbor’s space by asking the staff for assistance in locating the boundaries if they are not clear to you, prior to setting up your equipment. It is easier to set up on the correct site rather than having to move later.
You are responsible for your visitors conduct. We do ask that you stop by the office and advise us of expected guests. The guest should stop at the office, pay the day fee, and let us know who they are, who they are visiting and what site they are going to visit, prior to entering the park. Guests should leave quietly before 11:00 PM. Visitors remaining after 11:00 PM will have an $8 per person overnight-stay charge and a $4 per vehicle parking fee, added to your bill. Knowing who is in the park at all times is for everyone’s security and safety.
Your children and pets are welcome in our campground once registered at the office upon arrival. You are responsible for their conduct and for picking up after them (we have our own to look after). We require a current rabies and distemper certificate be presented for pets. We also require that a waste disposal bag or device be carried whenever exercising/walking your pet and that you use it to remove all pet waste and deposit it in the dumpster immediately. Anyone who leaves pet waste anywhere in this park will be asked to leave, no excuses, no refunds. Pets are no longer allowed in many campgrounds because of irresponsible owners. We will continue to admit pets but will not tolerate abuse of this privilege by any guest.
Pets will be restrained and under control at all times. If they are tied-out on your site, the lead must be short enough to confine them to within two feet of the site boundaries. If your pet appears to be aggressive, or is digging, you will be asked to confine it in your camping unit except when being exercised. Children who walk pets must be able to control them; you will be liable for any damage or injury caused by your pet.
It is distressing to listen to pets that have been left in camping equipment or vehicles by their owners and unattended. If your dog does not happily, comfortably and quietly remain behind and is heard barking or whining during your absence, you will be asked to come to the office upon your return to assure they are not left behind again. If we feel the animal is in any distress, the Wells Police will be asked to assure their wellbeing.
There is NO lifeguard on duty at the pool. You are swimming at your own risk and agree to comply with the posted rules for that area. Children under 14 must be accompanied while in the pool area by an adult over 18. Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained. Pets are not allowed in the pool area. Pool hours vary but normally the pool is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
No fireworks, firearms, weapons or illegal drugs are allowed in the park.
We want everyone to enjoy themselves and be safe during their visit with us, underage alcohol consumption or public intoxication will not be tolerated and will be handled by the Wells Police Department, York County Sheriff or Maine State Police, depending upon whoever can visit you first.
We issue credits for unused stays, but we adhere to a “no refund” policy.
This property is privately owned. The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he does hereby release the Campground, its officers and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his person arising out of his use of its camping facilities, and agrees to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person of any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its camping facilities.
Please respect your fellow campers and treat them as you want to be treated. We feel that our rules are simple and reasonable and are intended to assure everyone has a safe, pleasant and relaxing outdoor experience.

Riverside Campground Seasonal Rules

Property quiet hours are between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM. No noise should be heard from your campsite. Intoxication, noise after quiet hours, damage to facilities, vandalism, or repeated visits by staff, to enforce rules, will not be tolerated. Misbehavior from seasonal campers or their guests, anywhere on the property, will be grounds for eviction with no refund.
We want everyone to have an enjoyable time and be safe when on the property; underage alcohol consumption or public intoxication by anyone will not be tolerated. Alcohol is allowed in the campground, but open containers are only allowed on individual sites. No carrying of bottles or cans (identifiable as alcohol), throughout the park or pool area. These must be placed in a plastic cup.
Campers under the age of 16 must be on their family’s campsite between the hours of 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM and be accompanied by an adult if they leave their campsite during these hours. An adult must accompany children under 6 at all times when not on their campsite.
The play area is designed for children 12 and under and is closed from 9:00 pm. To 8:00 a.m.
Campfires must be confined in an approved fireplace. The flame height of fires will not exceed 24” above the base of the ground. Foraging for wood, cutting trees, removing branches or other vegetation for burning is not permitted. In accordance with state law, firewood is not to be brought into the campground from out of the State of Maine.
When leaving for the more than the day, please turn off your water connection and air conditioners in your camper. Please maintain your campsite in clean and orderly condition. Place all trash in the dumpster. Only wood is to be burned on your campsite. Do not dispose of trash, plastic items, bottles, cans or other waste by burning in the fireplace.
You are responsible for mowing. Sites not mowed will be cut by campground staff. A $30 fee will be charged.
You have paid for one campsite for your camping unit and cars. Cars that do not fit on your site can not be parked on roads or unoccupied campsites and are to be parked in the overflow parking lot on Route 1 on a first-come, first-served basis. Please come to the office, prior to parking in the Route 1 lot, to receive a parking pass. The speed limit in the campground is 5 mph (or less) at all times.
It is not permitted to walk through or cut through an occupied or unoccupied campsite. Please stay on the paved roads.
As the seasonal tenant of your campsite, you are responsible for monitoring and controlling the conduct of everyone present on your site. We do ask that you stop by the office and advise us of expected guests. You will be provided with a window sticker identifying your car as a seasonal vehicle. All guests must stop at the office and receive a parking pass when entering the property. Guests must leave quietly before 11:00 PM or pay a $5 per person overnight stay charge. Family members are allowed to stay overnight at no additional charge. If a guest (non-family member) stays overnight, the primary seasonal camper (whose name appears on the contract) must also be present for the night.
Your pets are welcomed in the campground. Guests are not permitted to bring in pets. You are responsible for your pets conduct and for picking up after them. The campground is personal property and we do not allow fireworks, firearms, or any weapons or illegal drugs to be brought onto the property.
The Riverside Park Campground, LLC (Campground) as the operator of the facility, is not responsible for damage to your personal property. Please assure adequate insurance coverage for your camping unit and that your homeowner’s policy provides coverage for accidental injuries which occur on your campsite. The seasonal camper(s) whose name(s) appear(s) on the annual contract, accepts occupancy of their campsite with agreement that he/she does release the Campground, its officers and employees of all liability for loss of or damage to property or injury to his/her person, family members or guests arising out of his/her use of its facilities, and agrees to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to his/her person, family member or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its facilities.

By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges and covenants not to sue Riverside RV LLC, dba Riverside Campground for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Further, Guest agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Riverside Campground from all losses, claims, expenses and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Riverside Campground may incur arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Riverside Campground reserves the right to remove any renter, occupant or guest who is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a State sexual offender registration program.

Pet Policy: We are a pet-friendly resort, but pets must be walked on a leash, cleaned up after and may not disturb other guests. Pets are the responsibility of the owner. Management reserves the right to restrict disruptive or aggressive breeds.

A reservation guaranteed by deposit is a guarantee on Riverside Park Campground's part that an accommodation will be available on the date of check-in and is a guarantee on the Customer's part to utilize the accommodations on the reserved date(s) or forfeit their deposit in the event of no-show.

Seasonals:
Seasonals are campers who reserve a site for the season (from Mother's Day weekend until Columbus Day). New seasonal units, coming into the campground, must be 10 years or newer. Seasonal campers have the option of leaving their equipment in the campground all year (at no additional charge), they can visit their camp after termination of utilities (campground is not liable for damages), but may not remain overnight until the opening night of the season. All should have fire insurance and be equipped with a functioning smoke alarm and fire extinguisher.

Seasonals Extra amenities:
Rates include water/electric (30/50 amp)/sewer/cable & wifi are included. Extra charges for park models ($55), slide outs ($20-$40), electric hot water ($50), washer/dryer ($50), or electric heater ($35).
There will be no refunds after you have checked in, for inclement weather, failure to follow the Rules & Regulations or disorderly conduct. Manager/Owner reserves the right to have discretion on all refunds.

Management shall not be held liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control.

The Riverside Campground or its management bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person or property or thing howsoever caused.

The management reserves the right to evict any day user, guest, camper or group of campers for any cause.
