Riverview RV Park & Marina

These rules are designed to protect and maintain Riverview’s enjoyable and safe environment.

All persons entering the premises do so at their own risk.  Riverview’s insurance is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss incurred by negligence, accident, theft, or fire to either property or person while using any of the facilities therein.  All must maintain insurance for the above items.  A certificate of insurance and liability for the camping unit and boat for the duration of the stay must be submitted to management proving current coverage.  Copies of registrations for the camping unit and boat must be provided.

Season rates are based on ONE campsite consisting of one family unit.  The rates are based on seasonal family recreation and not based on permanent full-time residency at the campground. This is based on a 3 night / 4 day week and 2 weeks vacation per family. Additional extended stay fees will apply to campers staying longer than the allotted 3 night / 4 day camping week and 2 weeks vacation per family. This includes family guest members camping additional nights.

No sub-leasing or assigning campsites or boat docks is permitted.  Your half dock and trailer are for the sole use of the campsite user and for one boat registered to the boat dock user.

Campsites

Campsites must be accessible to local Health and Safety officers for inspection. Lots are not to exceed your boundary and not to encroach on neighboring campsites.  Any campsite improvements or landscaping projects must be approved in advance by management.  Each campsite is limited to two cars and one tagged R.V. camper. Also, please do not park in vacant lots. Visitors must park in the designated visitors parking area. Installation of additional outlets is not permitted. No lights are to be left on, in or outside of your trailer when you go home.

Posted Identification

IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, THE VERMILION POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN GIVEN SEVERAL SECURITY GATE PASSES.  PLEASE PLACE YOUR NAME AND LOT # IN THREE-INCH CONTRASTING LETTERS AND #’S ON YOUR TRAILERS FACING THE ROAD FOR THEIR CONVENIENCE AND YOUR SAFETY. THIS ALLOWS POLICE, FIRE, AND AMBULANCE SERVICES TO EASILY FIND YOUR LOCATION. 

Speed Limits

SPEED LIMITS POSTED IN PARK MUST BE OBEYED (5 MPH). ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST VIOLATORS.  CAMPERS’ SAFETY COMES FIRST.

Security Gates

One vehicle passes through the gate at a time per security card swipe. Each vehicle must use a gate card to enter Riverview’s security gates. Absolutely no opening the security gate for vehicles following behind you, otherwise known as “flagging” and “running the gate”. The security gate must come to the down position once your vehicle has passed through.

Vehicles

Parking is prohibited on vacant campsites.  PARKING IS ALLOWED ONLY ON YOUR OWN CAMPSITE. A maximum of two cars per campsite is permitted, however, if you pick a smaller site and parking is limited, park in visitor/overflow lot.  All guests must park in the designated visitors’ parking area next to entrance.  Car washes are prohibited. 

Drugs

The use of any controlled drug or substance is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.  The police will be notified without notice to the user and the individual responsible for the campsite or boat dock will be evicted from the premises permanently.

Vacating Campsite

Anyone vacating a seasonal campsite during or at the close of the season and are not returning next season must have their R.V. unit, boat, and all belongings removed prior or by October 1st (no exceptions).  Any personal property left on Riverview’s property shall be considered abandoned and disposed of in accordance with Ohio Revised Code § 3729.13.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are to be observed from 10 p.m. – 8 a.m. Please be considerate and respectful of your neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum. Sound must be inaudible to neighboring campers. Excessive noise and/or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated, no loud music, partying, or loud conversations. QUIET HOURS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. POLICE WILL BE CALLED FOR DISTURBING THE PEACE.

Respectfulness

Riverview is a family friendly campground that will not tolerate any intimidation or discrimination by campers or their guests. Riverview holds the right to do whatever it takes to preserve a safe and family environment for all campers. Any infractions could result in the removal from Riverview for the remainder of the summer and subsequent years. 

Alcohol

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED IN MODERATION AND IN CONSIDERATION OF OTHERS. IT IS NOT PERMITTED AROUND CHILDREN.  NO ONE UNDER 21 IS PERMITTED TO CONSUME ALCOHOL.

Visitors

PERMANENT CAMPERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR GUESTS.  ALL GUESTS USING OUR CAMPGROUND MUST BE REGISTERED WITH RIVERVIEW MANAGEMENT. GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ONSITE WITHOUT THE CAMPSITE USER PRESENT. DAYTIME VISITORS MUST CHECK OUT BEFORE SUNSET.

Park Equipment

For your protection, do not play with or on park equipment; it is strictly off limits.  Park storage areas are also off limits.

Firewood

The Health Department Code requires firewood to be stacked 12 inches above ground level.  Maximum size is 5 feet wide, 4 feet high, and 2 feet deep. Absolutely no firewood storage on the levee and please be considerate of blocking the scenic view of your neighbors. Wood must be stored on a metal rack.

Levee

Only chairs and a fire ring are permitted on the levee in order not to block the view of neighboring campers. No steps or stairs are permitted on the levee. Absolutely NO climbing on the levee. DO NOT DIG OR TAMPER WITH LEVEE STRUCTURE OR VEGETATION/FOILAGE. No dumping grass or leaves in or on the levee or in the river.

Refrigerators

Extra refrigerators are allowed, but carry an extra charge.

Children

CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AND IN VIEW OF THEIR PARENTS AT ALL TIMES. PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND THEIR ACTIONS AT ALL TIMES. Minors are not allowed to camp without adult supervision.  All minors should be wearing approved life jackets while around marina and river areas.  Children and adults are not permitted to play on docks or swim in the marina.  Throwing stones is also prohibited as it could result in injury. All children must be accompanied by an adult when using the shower or restroom. Children must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years or older, near river areas and while fishing. No swimming, jumping, or diving is allowed in the lagoon or off the riverbank. Additionally, baby pools are prohibited onsite.

Chainsaws

Chainsaws are not allowed. Defacing or cutting of trees is prohibited.  Nothing shall be hung from any tree or attached to a tree in any manner.

Firearms/Fireworks

The use of firearms, fireworks, air guns, and bows and arrows are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Police will be called for any violation of this rule.  No target practice/shooting. 

Pets Welcome

Pets must be registered with park management. Please do not allow pets to urinate on trees. Urine kills trees. All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 ft. Pet owners must pick up after their pets. Pets shall not be tied outside their RV/Tent unattended. Excessive barking (as determined by Riverview Management) is cause for removal with no refund. Pets must be registered with Riverview Management, have appropriate shots, and owners must provide current shot records to Riverview Management. REMEMBER, RIVERVIEW IS PET FRIENDLY AS LONG AS YOUR PET IS FRIENDLY.

Volatile Fuel

In the interest of safety, no fuel may be stored on campsites. In accordance with Ohio law, absolutely no fuel is to be carried to fill your boat. Please fill your tanks at the fuel pumps along the Vermilion River.

Backflow Protectors

Do not remove backflow protectors from water faucets (EPA Regulation).  If a problem with leakage occurs, contact Riverview Management immediately.  Please do not try to remove or repair the damage yourself. If the backflow protector is missing at end of the season, $75.00 will be charged.

No Messy Campsites

All campers must clean and maintain their campsites. Household furniture is not permitted on campsites.  Grass must be cut at all times when needed and must be free of debris.

Marine Storage Boxes

            Boxes will be permitted if size is no greater than 3’ x 3’ x 6’.

Mail

            No mail will be accepted for patrons.

Family Camping

            No working caravans or business to be transacted from park.

Storage Cabinets/Rubbermaid

Maximum size of storage cabinet is 3' x 2’ x 6’ feet high, and located in close proximity to your trailer, making sure not to obstruct your neighbors’ view. No pest infected or rotted wood sheds are permitted. No additional future large storage sheds will be allowed. All storage sheds must meet the approval of Riverview Management and the Building Inspector from the City of Vermilion.  No storage shed may be connected to electricity.

Trash/Garbage

Wrap all garbage in plastic — NO fish guts are to be dumped in dumpsters---trash day (Monday). We don’t have bulk pick-up. Do not bring trash from home. No large items like TV”s, mattresses, grills, furniture, lawn mowers, etc.  All garbage must be put into dumpster, not along side of the dumpster, do not place garbage in front of the dumpster. Raccoons and birds love to pick open unattended garbage. 

Trespassing

Honor all “No Trespassing” signs and boundaries.  No trespassing on neighbors’ campsites/decks and/or docks.  Do not disturb personal property of others. However, waterfront sites are accessible to all. Respect for others’ property is the key.

Lights/Air Conditioners

All exterior lights must be turned off by 11 p.m. or earlier if you retire for the evening. No decorator lights on during daylight hours. Air conditioners and fans should be put in the OFF position when leaving your camper for an extended period of time. BUG ZAPPERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. IT IS MANDATORY THAT YOU TURN OFF A/C WHEN NOT USING R.V. OR WHEN LEAVING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY BE ASSESSED IF YOU FAIL TO DO SO.

Fires

Campfires are allowed in fire rings only.  Fires can not exceed 30 inches in height.  No bonfires.  This is an EPA Code Regulation.  No burning of treated wood, plastic or trash.

Only covered patio type campfire units are allowed on marina campsites. No fuel tiki torches along marina, however, solar powered tiki torches are allowed. 

Trailers

All trailers must be 15 feet from any other trailer (Ohio State Law #3733XK). 

Disconnect electrical connection/supply to camper/campsite while washing trailer. 

Any trailer left in the park without paying storage charge will be removed to a salvage (junk) yard. When leaving your trailer shut off the water supply. 50 amp trailers and trailers with additional air condition units will be charged extra. 

Docks

Campsite holders with boats 12 feet or over and no dock will pay dry dockage fee and park in designated area.  Campsite holders bringing in a boat on a temporary basis must register craft and pay applicable fee.  Also, jet skis must pay dry dock fee.  NO ELECTRICAL EXTENSION CORDS ARE ALLOWED AROUND THE DOCKS OR BOATS.  ELECTRICITY/SHORE POWER IS NOT AVAILABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Boat Trailers

No boat trailers shall be parked on the campsite.  They must be parked in designated storage area.  All boats must be in the water by Memorial weekend or in the designated boat storage area.  Your name and lot number must be placed and visible on your boat trailer.

Wastewater

No dumping human waste in out-house tanks or onto ground, etc.  No draining gray or black water (sink/shower water) on ground, in river, or lagoon.  No gray or black water hoses are allowed and sanitization cap must be closed at all times. BLACK AND GRAY WATER PUMP-OUT SERVICE IS MANDATORY! A sanitization fee will be required for pump out service or full hookup.

Marina Management

Discharge of head waste is prohibited in the marina. Oil spill response equipment to contain possible spillage is located at the marina boat ramp. Store used lead acid batteries on a pallet, preferably under cover, until disposal. Do not throw animal waste into the lagoon or river.

No Wake Law

Ohio’s law (ORC 1547.08) states that any watercraft operating within 300ft of a marina must travel at no wake speed. Most creek and backwater areas are also locally zoned as no wake.

Golf Carts, Bikes, Skateboards, Hover Boards, Flying Drones etc.

No bikes are permitted on the driveway hill or boat ramp.  Parents are responsible to keep their children off the driveway hill and boat ramp. No skateboarding, ATV’s, mini bikes, dirt bikes, mopeds, hover boards, or flying drones or the like are not permitted.  Golf cart usage is permitted only by those with a valid driver’s license. ALL GOLF CART OPERATORS AND RIDERS MUST ADHERE TO 475.03 CITY ORDNANCE. CHILDREN UNDER 8 ARE NOT PERMITTED TO RIDE ON GOLF CARTS. Golf carts are to be driven on roads only. OPERATING GOLF CARTS AFTER 11:00 IS PROHIBITED. 

R.V. Units

The hitch end of the R.V. must always remain unobstructed.  Water is to be shut off at the outside tap when you leave the park.  If this is not done and there is a hose breakage, you will be billed $100.00 for water spillage. You run the risk of flooding your trailer if your pipes leak. Portable 10’ x 10’ screened patio shelters are allowed.  Clotheslines are not permitted.  Do not cover the root area of a tree as this causes the tree to die. Campsites must be kept clean. Posting “For Sale” signs on campers, boats, or trailers in the park shall not be permitted.

Infringement/violation of Riverview’s rules will result in eviction without refund.  Likewise, there will be no refund if you are asked to leave for committing theft or disturbing the rights of others. No refunds of any kind will be granted to campers who decide to leave on their own.  

This is private property.  We reserve the right to enforce all rules for the benefit and safety of all our guests. Report any inconvenience, disturbance or infraction of the rules to Riverview Management.  The other campers appreciate your cooperation. When you agree to be a seasonal at Riverview R.V. Park/Marina, you agree to abide by these regulations at all times. 

These Rules and Regulations may be amended when necessary.
